Please check in if you are a Audi A3 owners. Please state your type and also year and any other info you like to share. My car info: -A3 Sedan Ambiente trim (Type 8V - model year 2015). -Delivery in Mar 2015. -OMV=27.2K. COE=64.7K AD gross margin=18.5K. During my evaluation, I gathered some info about the A3 compared to other similar cars in Singapore. Just for your information (see table below). I welcome any questions. I have also done a brief review in sgcarmart for this car too.

Uncle was probably driving himself to the centre to meet his friends, and he ended up almost meeting God instead. What happened? On 14 April 2023, a 77 year old man crashed his Audi A3 into the Kolam Ayer Senior Citizens’ Centre at Block 44 Sims Drive. Pictures of the incident were sent to The Straits Times, and we can see the front of the A3 wedged between the doorway, and that the impact has damaged the building. Chunks of the doorway were knocked out where the car hit the centre. A spokesman from Kolam Ayer Community Club told The Straits Times that the centre was not open at the time of the incident, and there was nobody inside. Uncle might want to check for dementia right about now. Both the police and Civil Defence Force were alerted to the accident at about 11.20, and the SCDF took the driver to the hospital who was luckily, conscious. I do find it weird the car was able to accelerate so fast it made enough force to take a chunk out of the doorway, which means uncle has a heavy foot or thought it was the brake somehow. Online chatter Some of the jokes made were morbid, but good enough to forget about it and laugh. Audi‘s next generation S3 model will also be available in Sedan form, featuring the same updated design and improved tech as its hatchback sibling. We can see loads of sporty-looking bits underneath this prototype’s camouflage, such as the chunky front and rear spoilers, large dual-spoke wheels and most of all, the quad exhaust pipe setup which points to this being anything but slow in a straight line. The new S3 Sedan will boast the same hexagonal grille and updated headlights as the rest of the fourth-gen Audi A3s. Still, the front bumper will feature bigger intakes, the profile will have more pronounced side sills, and the wheels will be bigger. At the rear, expect a slightly more elegant design compared to the current iteration, as well as updated taillights with modern graphics. The interior of the next A3, regardless of variant, will have a surprisingly angular design judging by previous images. The dashboard is also driver-oriented, and is expected to feature the automaker’s 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster as well as the latest in infotainment software. Under the skin we expect a similar setup to what’s available right now, namely a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch and Quattro all-wheel drive, altough power and torque figures could increase from the current model’s 295 HP (300 PS) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm). Its main competitor, the CLA 35, has 302 HP (306 PS) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm), so a slight bump is not out of the question. Since it’s possible we’ll see the all-new A3 and A3 Sedan debut before the end of this year, the more performance-oriented S3 will likely show up in 2020.

Hi all, My car has this problem of the HID light turning off and on again by itself. The left one will turn off and turn on almost instantly, and then the right one will follow suit. What could the problem be? I have done the rewiring, changed to a 2nd hand ballast but the problem still persist. Need your kind advice. Thanks!

I can't seem to find accurate information on the Singapore Audi A3 1.0 2017, is it dry clutch or a wet clutch? I know there are various editions whereby in India is dry. Any advice pls?

After much anticipation, the all new Audi A3 sedan has made its world premiere at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show. The A3 sedan replaces the A4 as the new entry level sedan for the German brand. The A3 sedan is designed to ward off competition from the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class and the upcoming BMW 1 Series sedan. The styling is very typical of Audi and one would not mistake it for any other makes. The baby Audi sedan measures 4,460mm long and 1,800mm wide with a wheelbase of 2,640mm. This makes the car shorter but wider than class competitor, the CLA. Base engine is a 1.4-litre TFSI petrol with 140bhp and 250Nm of torque. 0-100km/h is performed in a brisk 8.4 seconds while it sips fuel at 4.7L/100km. Range topper for the petrol version at the moment is a 1.8-litre TFSI with 180bhp and 250Nm of torque that allows the car to complete a century sprint in a timing of 7.3 seconds. Transmission options include a six-speed manual or seven-speed S-Tronic gearbox. A high performance S3 version that runs a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 296bhp is said to be in the pipeline. Although the spiritual successor of the Audi 80 is the A4, the A4 has grown so much that it is close to the size of the last Audi 100 that we have. Customers looking for a true compact, well built German sedan can now rejoice with the arrival of the A3 sedan. -
Singaporeans have always loved their sedans. Look at the amount of Mercedes-Benz and Toyota sedans on our roads if you aren't convinced. Not to be outdone, Audi introduced their A3 sedan with its 122bhp 1.4 TFSI engine. While its power output is nothing to shout about, it goes about providing the A3 sedan with plenty of low end torque (200Nm of it from 1,400rpm) to make merging into highways a stress-free experience. I personally felt the engine performed at its best if driven sedately. Revving the engine to its redline revealed slight breathlessness as with most turbo engines. . While the rest of my colleagues drove it pretty hard when we had the car, I tried a short eco-friendly run from the west to the central of singapore and I registered a similar 17km/L reading when we road tested the A3 Sportback. Riding softer than its hatch sibling, the sedan settles into a nice cruise at highway speeds. While the steering is not the best of its kind, it provides enough feedback to the driver and weighs well. Inside, it is business as usual for Audi with probably the best cabin in its class. Cabin space is decent but sitting three at the back might be slightly uncomfortable for long drives up North. We think the A3 would do well here with its handsome, crisp silhouette and a proper trunk. Seems like the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class just got itself a pretty decent rival!

Previewed by the Audi A3 Concept at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, the production version of the A3 sedan will be making its global debut at the upcoming 2013 Shanghai Auto Show come April. Audi CEO, Rupert Stadler, commented that the new model will be an important derivative which will stimulate additional growth, especially in China and the U.S. Perhaps this explains the sedan's debut in Shanghai. The A3 sedan will be a direct competitor to the Mercedes CLA. The A3 sedan will be built at the country of launch. Chinese press reports that the A3 sedan will be assembled at the FAW-VW joint venture that also manufactures a variety of Audi models. However, I believe there will be other manufacturing sites around the world. Measuring about 4,400mm long by 1,840mm wide by 1,390mm tall, the baby sedan will be built upon VW's MQB platform. The engine lineup is expected to be carried over from the 2013 A3 hatchback. This means a range of TFSI petrol power plants ranging from 1.4-litre to 2.0-litre as well as 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre TDI options. S-Tronic transmission is available as an option on all models. This is a review of the brand new Audi A3 sedan, which replaces the A4 as the new entry level saloon for the Ingolstadt carmaker. The variant reviewed is the 1.4 TFSI which features COD (cylinder on demand), direct injection and turbocharging technologies. It produces 140bhp with 250Nm of torque and sends the small German sedan from 0 to 100km/h in 8.4 seconds. There are other engine options for the A3 sedan at launch which include a 2.0 TDI and 1.8 TFSI. The 1.4 TFSI variant reviewed should be the volume seller when it touches down in Singapore. The review is quite positive. The cabin is said to feel a lot more expensive than its price tag and the driving experience also matches a much more expensive car as the refinement is fantastic. At the end of the review, the reviewer even commented that the A3 sedan is a pretty good alternative to the Audi A4.

Audi has released the A3 e-tron in the Avant body style at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. An 8.8-kWh lithium-ion battery sits under the floor beneath the rear seat, complete with a liquid cooling system. The plug-in hybrid is driven by a parallel hybrid drivetrain consisting of a turbocharged 150bhp 1.4-litre four-cylinder engine and a small electric motor integrated into the car's six-speed dual-clutch transmission. The electric motor generates 102bhp. The A3 e-tron goes to 100km/h in 7.6 seconds and is able to achieve a top speed of 222km/h. In a plug-in hybrid, the focus is on fuel efficiency. According to Audi, the vehicle uses petrol at a miserly 1.5L/100km and produces CO2 at a mere 35g/km. The A3 e-tron can be driven in hybrid, electric or gasoline mode. When driven in EV mode, the car provides a range of up to 49km. The fwd model is not scheduled for production yet.

Images of the 2014 Audi A3 sedan has been captured for the first time during its outdoor testing in Europe. The test car is covered up in black and white body decal but we can still make out the general shape of the car. Sometime today (1st March 2011) the Audi A3 Sedan Concept Car made its official debut but in true World Wide Web fashion, photos of the car have already been revealed. It has been a while since we had a small Audi sedan and Audi noticed it. When the A4 started gaining in bulk after the B6, B7 and now the nearly A6 sized B8 models, those that wanted something compact from them had to settle for the A3 Sportback. Not any more as for the first time after nearly a decade, we have an Audi sedan that is compact and good looking. It is presumably as small as the A4 B5 series that was first launched in 1994 and the show car looks like an RS3 Sedan instead of a bread and butter A3 hatchback (Yes, I know its called Sportback, but it IS a hatchback). Take a good look at the size of the alloy wheels, its lowered stance and the aggressive front end if you disagree with my thoughts. I have to again state, look at those rims! 20inches on an A3 sized car is definitely RS3 Sedan Concept car to me. In fact the engine gets the RS3 Sportback 4 cylinder 2.5liter turbocharged engine but with added firepower. The A3 Sedan Concept gets 402bhp instead of 334bhp. It weighs 1540kg and will do 0-100km/h in 4.1seconds. It is Porsche Cayman eating, but I would settle for 350bhp anytime as the car looks good. A good small sized Audi sedan, soon to be back after all these years. Well, better late than never.

I will be going on a Business + Leisure trip to UK next week. The stay would be more than a month and need to hire a car for visiting places such as the Scottish highlands as well as some English National parks. The car is to carry only two passengers, me and wify. My budget would be good for an Audi A3 1.4TFSI or Ford Mondeo tdi. Having to choose between the two is kind of tough for me now. My wife prefers the Mondeo as she likes big and steady car for long distance but I would love to handle the Audi Hatch on the country winding roads which I have never done before. Which of the two would you choose?
