Hi Bros, Need some opinions on the above question as I'm thinking of getting a sub-$48k 1.6Manual car and these 2 korean cars are my top 2 choices. I design wise, i have no preference for either. Any advise on which car to get? Maybe current owners can share any problems of each car... Some comparisons: Optra vs Cerato Price: $47,588 vs $44,588 OMV: $12,645 vs $11,416 0-100: 10.7 vs 11.0 Airbag/ABS: Both has 1 each with ABS but Optra has 4 channel sensing ABS, dunno about Cerato. FC: ??? Rear Headrest: 3 vs 2 Need advise on Handling, Ride comfort, Noise level, FC, Maintenance Servicing at agent...Which one is a better buy?

My friend is interested in the new Cerato 1.6A. Anyone has already test drive it or has already own it? Any good and bad comments? Heard it's a petrol "drinker". How bad it is?

I'm planning to buy either a proton Gen 2 or a Kia Cerato, but i really cannot decide on which car to buy after some pros and cons. Cerato is cheaper, more spacious. Only problem is that i'm worried about the fuel consumption compared to Gen2 and the reliability of the car. And correct me if i'm wrong but i think the proton gen2's engine more power right? Gen2 is damn nice, fast engine and better fuel consumption but abit stupid design because of my height (183cm) and the roof like only centimeters above my head when i sit in it. Although wat people say about the interior, but i kinda of like it and spare parts super easy to get across the causeway. So fellows, please help me decide, which one? Confused...

Hi all, Thinking of getting a new car. Can anyone advise if its better to get the new Rio or Cerato. I know that there was a previous thread but that has many OT and its based on the old Rio. Both cars dimension are about the same, with the Rio slightly smaller, but i believe Rio has better fuel consumption (slightly). As for road tax and insurance, i think Rio will be cheaper. In a nutshell, is it worth to pay the premium for the Cerato since the Rio has such a great improvement? please advise...

Just want to share with all members here, KIA is coming up a new KIA Spectra or they will called it Cerato instead of Spectra. Hi guys, I am now considering to get a car and have narrowed down to 2 choices: Kia Cerato(1st hand) or 2nd hand Toyota Corolla 1.5(2-2.5yrs). Both are about the same prices: Cerato:$62500 (after deducting the $5000 worth of free 1st yr insurance+6mth installment) Corolla: ~$60,000. Both appeal to my heart in their own ways and I find it hard to make a decision. Hope that someone will help me out in this.

I drove my friend's Kia Rio and find it has better performance/response than the Cerato. The Rio pick up speed a lot faster and the steering is more communicative than the latter. Anyone else feel the same?
