  1. Hello, I have some struggle with an ABS wheel speed sensor, the old sensor has been replaced plus we have replaced the ABS module (w/brakelines) The scanner says that there is short or a no ground to the sensor. My question is how does the ABS wheel speed sensor circiutry look like. We have tried to clean the plugs going into the BCM and the ECU with no luck aswell. Best regards and happy new year 😉

For a similar price and car size segment, is there something similar with comprehensive safety tech and value for money for us to consider?

  4. Hi, Can anyone recommend workshop at North area (woodlands/Sembawang/Yishun) that do servicing for diesel car? I was quoted by one of the workshop to replace the tank, add additive, reprogram (?) and workmanship at the cost of $1400 based on the below screenshot. (have yet send to them for further inspection) Thanks
  5. Folks would like to know more info about this car. Those who own it or test driv before, care to share? 1) reliability. As tis is a Citroën which I ve heard a lot of negative news about it before (NOTE: in the past) thus would like to know is this a problematic car? Issues like gear issue, engine etc. 2) if I dun go back to agt for servicing, are there a lot of werkshop outside who can service tis car? 3) generally is this a good car to drive? I'm currently driving a forestor. I'm impressed by the interior but have yet to test drive as would like to gather more info first. 4) not sure if this is a good Q to ask... Pardon me if not. I ve a chance as this owner is selling but is a CNG. Let's not look at other issues but will u consider a CNG as a good option or will not? Thks.
  6. Citroen C4 Cactus unveiled with roof-mounted airbag Citroens have always been a little bit different, and perhaps this new one is even more unique than others. Full official details of the radical Citroen C4 Cactus have been released over yesterday’s leaked images, giving us insights of the brand’s, say, unique take on a C-segment vehicle. This is a “real alternative” to compact hatchbacks, according to Citroen. Its approach is an original one, especially when it comes to appearance. The earlier Cactus Concept’s split headlamps, ‘floating’ roof, upswept C-pillar, flat-dish wheels and 3D-effect rear lights are all carried over to the production version. Even the Airbumps – impact-absorbing soft air capsules to protect the body against minor bumps and scratches – have made it through to the production phase. Talk about being bold. Same goes to the interior, which has a few unique touches too. It has a seven-inch multimedia touch-screen display as standard, along with fully digital instrumentations behind the steering wheel. The button-type gear selectors also allowed Citroen to fit wide sofa-style seats at the front. Meanwhile, the front passenger airbag has been moved to the roof (Airbag In Roof technology) – a world-exclusive feature that creates more interior room and storage space. Another innovative addition is the panoramic glazed roof with advanced heat protection to let the light in but keep the heat out. Through the use of an “optimised platform” (i.e. not the new EMP2 modular base) and new engines, Citroen has managed to bring the weight down by 200 kg compared to the existing C4 hatchback. As such, the most efficient diesel variant will average just 3.1 litres per 100 km (32.3 km/l).
  7. When it comes to the French, design is of utmost importance. This is evident in the Citroen C4 because it just looks like no other car in its class. It even has racing pedigree in the form of Sebastian Loeb who pilots this model in the WRC so this car is cool as well. So its no real surprise that the C4 is becoming increasingly popular here in Singapore and though it is still a little underrated by the public. Approaching from afar, the car looks handsome with its uninterrupted curves and the tasteful 16-inch alloys which come as standard with the car. Look a little closer and you will notice the fine detail that has been paid towards the styling of the car as a whole, it looks as if the designers were the kind who would commit suicide if anything went wrong, thus the flawless appearance. And it gets even better inside. The cabin is airy and if you are willing to pay an additional $3000, you get the delightful panoramic glass roof which brightens up the interior beautifully. Furthermore, the dials feel important when pushed and not flimsy like an old hat, the dash is full of surprises, the biggest one being the steering wheel which doesn't seem to turn at all. Weird, but then you realize that its because of Citroen's clever Multi-functional fixed-centred controls steering wheel which is like a universal remote control. It has everything on it from a speed limiter to cruise control, air-conditioning controls to radio adjustments, it handles it all. All these buttons make you feel like you are controlling your Playstation rather than your car. Cabin space is above average with ample space for adults in the rear and the seats are comfortable too. So far it seems like there can't be much to complain about. Or is there? The dials have all be relocated to the centre console which can be a bit distracting when driving and the LCD display for the trip computer is a tad to small at times especially the cute icons to represent what i would interpret to be a human. And that big speedo in the middle just tells the whole world if you're speeding or not, making the job for the police easier. It all seems a bit confusing as the fuel consumption and other safety indicators are spread out in two different locations though they are one above the other, they still need some time to get used to. The interior is rather 'plasticky' and feels rather loosely put together and the rear magazine holder panel even moves! It somehow decided that it needs a break from being well fitted and clinically tight like an Audi. Moreover, the engine is rather loud and not to mention the C4 does not exactly have a wonderful soundtrack. So the cabin is noisy, the interior fittings don't feel like staying put and the dials are rubbish... at first. Once started, the car roars to life, noisy yes but limp, no. The standard 1.6l engine can go from 0-100km/h under 12 seconds. Not too fast but neither is it too slow in our city traffic. The 110bhp engine does well and is not a heavy drinker. The average fuel consumption is around 13.1km/l and that can be improved if one is not heavy footed. The ride is smooth and planted, the suspension absorbs bumps well and won't make you feel like you're in a bouncy castle. And, even in the entry level C41.6 SX VTI you get disc brakes all round which mean better braking power with ABS, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Emergency Braking Assistance (EBA) as standard, you feel safe in this car. Airbags are plentiful as well, 6 in total making the car a winner with a five star EuroNCAP rating. There's even a Sport button and by pressing that, the gear ratios are adjusted and you get seriously more power than you'd imagine this 1.6l could churn out. Its a tiny monster; tiny, but still ferocious. And that avant garde centre console grows on you. You'd never feel bored in a Citroen. What's more, the Citroen shares 70% of its chassis with Sebastian Loeb's C4 rally car which makes it a solid ride. The stability, comfort and performance of this car have all been merged tastefully making it an ideal car for the typical city driver, yet providing an edge in quality and sheer coolness. This car is not that common... yet. Buying one makes you stand out from the crowd. It shows you are a discerning driver who knows his stuff. French flair has done it right this time, and i think they beat their Japanese rivals hands down in terms of functionality and style. Hopefully, people who read this wont go and buy a Citroen. Then those who do can be special.

  10. Hi, my dad is interested in these 2 cars. Just for an example of the exact spec and models, below are 2 links: C4 Focus As for the Focus, we are open to either the hatchback or the sedan version. Priorities are mainly reliability, fuel consumption and again, reliability. As he has spent almost 10k on repairs on his current car. I know for reliability, one should choose jap cars like toyota, honda etc. but my dad likes something different. I know these 2 models are quite low on power, but still drivable i guess. Read up abit and concluded that the focus is more of a fun car as in handling and the C4 is very comfortable. Any one can advise on any of these 2 models regarding reliability and maintainance issues? your feedback will very much be appreciated. Thanks!

    Citroen C4 [Xsara Successor] Now you can C4 yourself what Citroen has in store for the future - thanks to inside information from our French sister title, Auto Plus. This is the new C4, and it's the firm's most important new model for years. It is designed to tempt buyers out of the Ford Focus, VW Golf and Vauxhall Astra, so bosses know it has to have special something when it debuts next year. The C4 takes its front styling from the C-Airdream concept which was unveiled at last year's Paris Motor Show. Elements of the C3 and soon-to-be-launched C2, plus Citroens of old such as the CX and SM, are also evident in its angular design. The French manufacturer is working to ensure the Xsara replacement has class-leading aerodynamic efficiency, with an ultra-low drag coefficient. That should mean excellent performance and economy. Citroen aims to create a stir with the C4's launch. The firm made headlines at this year's Geneva Motor Show with the C2 Sport junior rally car - which gave a glimpse of how this autumn's Saxo replacement will look - and now bosses are hinting they will show a C4 WRC model at Geneva next year. That will be six months before the production version debuts at the Paris event. The newcomer will be available with six different engines. Diesels are expected to take the bulk of sales, with the entry-level car using the 92bhp 1.4-litre HDi unit currently found in the C3.
