  1. These are two WOW rides boasting ponies in excess of 400bhp. If you had the cash to splash, which one would you go for?
  2. Finally a new Maserati to replace the current GT. Unveiled at the Geneva Motorshow. Well at least these are the official pictures - no photochop here (i'm pretty sure). It has a slightly upgraded (of the current) 4.2-liter V8 pushing out 407Hp (from 400). Looks refreshing. Don't the rims look outta this world? Think it took it's front nose from the MC12 below. Maserati MC12. U'll never see one in Singapore. Never.
  3. Mr Kailin, Maserati Granturismo He browse through and saw that we have done a lot of Maserati GT. We have done most of the parts he wanted, therefore this gave him the confidence in us. He bought the car with some wear and tear parts, thus replacing it with carbon fiber is ideal as some of the parts are already in carbon. Custom order done for his steering wheel as our ready stock doesn't fit his preference. We also did the steering wheel button trim in carbon fiber. Most sellers don’t do this as it is costly and time consuming, but we are happy to make it happen! Custom job is always unique! Installation done and he is pleased and happy with our custom work. Stay tuned for the pictures of the interior installation! 4. Driver arrested for suspected drink driving after accident involving Maserati and Mercedes SINGAPORE - A 42-year-old man has been arrested for suspected drink driving after a Maserati was involved in a collision with a Mercedes on Saturday evening near Great World mall, resulting in minor injuries. He is believed to be the driver of the Maserati GranTurismo. https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/courts-crime/maserati-driver-42-arrested-for-suspected-drink-driving-after-accident-near-great-world
  5. https://mothership.sg/2022/10/jianhao-tan-hypecars/ YouTuber JianHao Tan, 29, starts S$3 million business selling cars at Bukit Batok Hyped for cars. YouTube isn't the end of the line for JianHao Tan, who recently revealed that he's started his own car dealership. Called HypeCars, the 29-year-old brought followers around the showroom in a short TikTok video. Unexpected venture Tan told Mothership that never imagined himself venturing into the business, considering how different it is from the creative industry of producing videos. "To be honest, if you asked me a few years ago, I wouldn’t have expected myself starting a car business. It’s completely different to what I do daily in a creative agency like Titan as a YouTuber." However, Tan has always "really liked cars", and considers it his hobby. He thus partnered several friends and fellow car enthusiasts to start HypeCars, with the business costing around S$3 million in total. Reflecting on his first big purchase in his earlier years as a YouTuber—his dream car, a yellow Maserati GranTurismo—Tan shares that he was very young and uncertain of the proper procedures to purchase a vehicle. As such, HypeCar's mission is to be "effective and helpful to car buyers and sellers." "These days, I see a lot of my peers and friends my age getting cars. So hopefully we can service these people and make it a smooth, fun and easy experience," he elaborates. He also hopes to be able to work with influencers in this venture, as well as to "make videos and just enjoy cars together". Looking to expand Considering that Tan is still running Titan Digital Media and regularly pushing out videos on his YouTube channel, Tan has been multi-tasking while starting this new business. Renovations for the showroom were recently completed, and the company is currently building up its team of staff. He adds that thankfully, he has great partners who are understanding of his commitments and are able to share the workload. Tan's goal for HypeCars is pragmatic: to buy and sell as many cars as possible, and to meet the changing needs of consumers. Already, the team is looking for another unit to expand the business. Tan reveals that they might also be bringing in electric models into the market, and has hopes that HypeCars "can play a big part in EV (electric vehicle) adoption in Singapore". Currently, the HypeCars Instagram page displays a variety of car models, from a Nissan Sylphy and Honda Civic, to a BMW M4 and Audi R8. https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSRVXQHaV/ Don't see it on Sgcarmart. Now the question is, will Jianhao advertise his used cars on Sgcarmart? And will his legion of young fans support him by buying cars? Heh.
  6. Ah beng car journey have to start from somewhere right 😛😁. Normally start from civic first before branching out if got money depending on whether conti route or jdm route. Civic >> Volkswagen Golf/Roc >> GTI/Golf R/ roc R or BMw M3/M4/M5 or mercedes A45 AMGs/C63 AMG or other AMG models or Audi S3/S4/S5 or RS3/RS4/ RS5 >> Maserati Granturismo GT/GTS or Jaguar F types >> Bentley continental GT/ Lamborghini Gallardo/ murcielago . JDM route civic >> WRX/STI or Mitsubishi EVO Or civic type R >>Nissan GTR. Just my stereotyped wild guess 😛😛
  7. Mr Chang, Maserati Granturismo Mr Chang saw our ads on digital AC and Android unit bundle. He came in to upgrade the electronic parts to digital platform as he found analogue technology outdated. We give out a FREE carbon fiber panel with purchase of the bundle of 3. It is definitely worth it. Installation completed and now the cockpit looks more sleek! ✅Digital Ac climate ✅Digital speedometer ✅Android unit
  8. Mr Sammy, Maserati GT Mr Sammy came across our post on a set of ready stock carbon fiber steering wheel and interior trim. He told us not all shops have a complete set of trims for Maserati Granturismo. No downtime for him! As the car ages, it will start to have wear and tear issues. Replacing them with carbon fiber parts not only freshen and beautify the ride, it also increases the value. He took up the steering bundle with carbon fiber paddle shifter and interior trim set. Installation completed. Beautiful. ✅Maserati GT Carbon fiber steering wheel ✅Maserati GT carbon fiber paddle shifter
  9. https://drivetribe.com/p/3-cars-to-watch-out-for-at-the-fuLyB3y3TfyxZ5memzcNeQ?iid=EhyBtvbFQ0-qgH8plXC67A The Tokyo Auto Salon, traditionally held in January at the Makuhari Messe, is basically the Japanese equivalent of the Sema show in America. This year (well, technically next year), as you'd expect, it is going to be packed with electric cars but there are also a few interesting things that might make the show worth your while. These are my favourite three cars, in random order. 1. HONDA CIVIC TYPE R The long-awaited 2023 Civic Type R will make its public debut at the show, even though Honda said it'll still be wearing a special camo wrap designed specifically for Type R. They also said this is going to be "the best-performing Civic Type R ever" and they say the final production version will be revealed next year. We just don't know when. Or where. We don't know even what type of engine it's going to be using, but some say (and hope) it will be powered by an upgraded version of the same 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder that powers the current-gen Type R, which means it should deliver more than 306 hp and more than 295 lb-ft of torque. And the best part? There's a strong chance it will be equipped with a manual transmission. 2. JDM NISSAN FAIRLADY Z Nissan is going to show up with a bunch of interesting vehicles, including a surprisingly compelling (albeit the front end is a bit ugly, see pictures below) van, and the inevitable squad of EVs, but as ever, we want the sportscars, and what's better than combining the name 'Fairlady' and the acronym 'JDM' in the same sentence? We say it's the JDM version but the truth is the Fairlady (marketed as 400Z elsewhere) is only going to be available in Japan and the United States (+ other smaller markets), but not in Europe, because the 300-hp twin-turbo V6 that powers it is not green enough to be sold in the EU and Nissan therefore simply decided to ditch the European market (both in and outside the EU) altogether. 3. Nissan Z GT500 racecar Loosely based on the GT-R, the Z GT500 racer is going to take part in the 2022 SUPER GT, with a Granturismo-style livery and bodykit painted in matte black. The engine is a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-4, which doesn't sound like a lot but it actually delivers 650 hp.
  10. Touring Superleggera Sciadipersia is a hyper-exclusive coachbuilt coupe http://www.evo.co.uk/maserati/granturismo/20894/touring-superleggera-sciadipersia-is-a-hyper-exclusive-coachbuilt-coupe Italian for ‘Shah of Iran’ the Sciadipersia from Touring Superleggera will be limited to ten unitsItalian coachbuilder Touring Superleggera has revealed its latest project and it’s called the Sciadiersia. Literally translating as Shah of Persia, the model is inspired by a previous commission of bespoke Maserati 5000GTs completed by Touring in 1958. Ordered by the then ruler of Iran, a total of three units were completed and they form the inspiration for this new car, which Touring Superleggera says is a four-wheeled version of the Orient Express. Starting life as the two-door Maserati GranTurismo coupe, the Sciadipersia shares that car’s 454bhp 4.7-litre V8 engine and six-speed ZF automatic or single-clutch semi-automatic gearboxes. The interior is also based heavily to the GranTurismo sharing a similar basic layout, albeit finished with luscious waxy leather and solid polished aluminium trim pieces. From this point though the changes are far more substantial, as Touring Superleggera has completely redesigned the body, based on the 1958’s low three-box silhouette and a substantial amount of glazing. The main body’s simple horizontal crease is a distinct contrast to the muscular haunches and aggressive snout of the GranTurismo. Polished aluminium also plays an important part of the exterior design, featuring on the nose and tail. Brushed aluminium panels on the c-pillar and tail also hark back to the original, framing a wrap-around rear windscreen. The surfacing is classic Touring, fulsome, with crisp body-lines and artful integration of the lighting units and glass roof. Touring Superleggera didn’t release an estimated price, but each of the ten cars planned for production will likely vary in price depending on owners’ specific specifications. As usual, Touring’s penchant for luxury and sophistication rather than aggressive performance-orientated style is all over the Sciadipersia, which make its public debut at the 2018 Geneva motor show.
  11. FCA Just Slaughtered Alfa Romeo’s Future Product Plan – 8C And GTV Coupes Among The Victims During last year’s Capital Markets Day presentation, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles revealed bold plans for Alfa Romeo and Maserati. Of course, FCA has a horrible record of following through with their plans and that will happen once again. The changes to Maserati’s product plan are minor, but the redesigned Levante has been pushed back to 2023. The GranTurismo and GranCabrio have also been given a second lease on life as they’ll be redesigned instead of replaced by an all-new sports car which was preferably referred to as the Alfieri. As for the timeline, 2020 will see the introduction of facelifted versions of Levante, Ghibli and Quattroporte. That same year, the company will introduce an “all-new sportscar” which will be available with an electric powertrain. In 2021, there will be a convertible version of the aforementioned sports car as well as an all-new GranTurismo. The company will also introduce their so-called “D-UV” which is a crossover that will slot beneath the Levante. All three models will also be offered with an electric-only powertrain. The product launches slow down for 2022, but include a redesigned GranCabrio and Quattroporte. Like the rest of the all-new models, they’ll be offered with an electric powertrain and a Level 3 semi-autonomous driving system. While Maserati’s plan largely carries over, the same can’t be said about Alfa Romeo. FCA has decided to cut capital spending and rationalize Alfa Romeo’s product plan to focus “on current market strengths with reduced global reach and overlap with other Group brands.” As a result, their future lineup has been gutted. Last year’s plan called for an assortment of new models including an updated Giulietta as well as an all-new E-UV, 8C and GTV. All those models have apparently been canceled. Instead, we’ll get facelifted versions of the Giulia and Stelvio in 2021. However, there’s no mention of their previously announced long wheelbase variants. A compact SUV (C-UV), previewed by the Tonale concept, will be launched in 2021 and offered with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. It will be joined by a previously unannounced B-UV that is slated for 2022. Little is known about the smaller crossover, but it will be offered with an electric powertrain. @kobayashiGT @Tianmo I think the new group are more likely to be known as PFC (Peugeot-Fiat-Chrysler) instead of PSFCA, as PSA is for Peugeot S.A. while FCA is for Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles (the 'A' have different meaning in he 2 group). @Hamburger costing saving in R&D, technology and part sharing are the push factors for most merger, but there is a limit to how much it can save (or yield). If say any of the brands under the group are not distinctive enough to gain a decent market share, the lower sales volume will eventually make it less profitable than before.
  12. It is a trend now that the so called 'new' model are actually old one with some facelift and hybrid setup... ... 2020 Maserati Ghibli GranSport Hybrid (M157) The spark of electrification ignites Maserati's future: with the new Maserati Ghibli Hybrid, the Trident Brand enters the world of electrification. The new Maserati Ghibli Hybrid represents one of the most ambitious projects for Maserati, which after the announcement of the new engine for the MC20 super sports car now sets the seal on another step forward towards the brand's new Era. The choice to introduce the hybrid technology on the Ghibli sedan is no coincidence: this model, with over 100,000 units produced since its launch in 2013, perfectly embodies the Modena-based manufacturer's DNA. In fact, the challenge facing Maserati was to enter the world of electrification without altering the brand's core philosophy and values. The result? The creation of the best possible hybrid. What's more, Maserati Ghibli Hybrid will retain the unmistakable sound that has always distinguished every Maserati. The arrival of the new Ghibli Hybrid thus expands the Maserati range, which is now even more competitive and responsive to the demands of the market. Design Maserati Ghibli Hybrid is immediately recognisable, thanks in part to the new design of both exterior and interior. The common denominator of the restyling, developed by the Centro Stile Maserati, is the blue colour, chosen to identify all cars with hybrid technology and the new world they represent. On the exterior, the blue colour characterises the three iconic side air ducts, the brake calipers and the thunderbolt in the oval that encloses the Trident on the rear pillar. The same blue colour reappears inside the car, in particular on the embroidered seams of the seats. The new Ghibli Hybrid also introduces new stylistic contents, starting from the new front grille, with bars redesigned to represent a tuning fork, a musical device that emits a sound of extreme purity, and which also evokes the Trident symbol itself. There are significant changes at the rear of the car, where the light clusters have been completely restyled, with a boomerang-like profile inspired by the 3200 GT and the Alfieri concept car. Mild Hybrid In perfect harmony with its DNA, Maserati has chosen a hybrid solution focused primarily on improving performance, while also reducing fuel consumption and cutting emissions. The hybrid technology exploits kinetic energy the car accumulates when in motion, recovering it and transforming it into electricity during deceleration and braking, and storing it in a battery. The innovative powertrain, the outcome of in-depth engineering development work by the technicians and engineers of the Maserati Innovation Lab in Modena, combines an internal combustion engine (4 cylinders, turbo, displacement of 2.0 l) with a 48 volt alternator and an additional electric supercharger (e-Booster), supported by a battery. This solution is unique in its segment, and is the first in a new generation of powertrains, with the perfect trade-off between performance, efficiency and driving pleasure. The battery is mounted in the rear of the car, with benefits in terms of improved weight distribution. This version weighs about 80 kg less than the Diesel. Thanks to maximum power output of 330 hp and torque of 450 Nm delivered from just 1,500 rpm, the new Maserati Ghibli Hybrid's performance data are very impressive: top speed of 255 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds. Maserati Ghibli Hybrid occupants will still revel in the unmistakable sound that characterises all Maserati models, thanks to the optimised exhaust, which includes specially designed resonators. Connectivity Maserati Ghibli Hybrid also marks the debut of the new Maserati Connect program, which enables a constant connection with the car: the information exchange continues when on the move, to improve the services offered to the driver. As well as updating the software packages, the system performs checks on the car and monitors the Safety Security services in emergencies. The Maserati Intelligent Assistant multimedia system is latest-generation, based on digital inputs from Android Automotive, software that delivers an innovative User Experience fully customisable to the driver's personal preferences. The multimedia system's HD screen, with new graphics, more user-friendly and without surrounds, is increased in size from 8"4 to 10"1. A new instrument panel with digital devices and new graphics is also introduced. Electrification the Maserati way The new Maserati Ghibli Hybrid represents the first step in a plan that will lead to the electrification of all new Maserati models. The Brand's first all-electric cars will be the new GranTurismo and GranCabrio, scheduled for 2021.
  13. https://www.autoblog.com/2020/07/14/lightning-strikes-behind-the-grille-of-maseratis-first-hybrid-model/ Maserati Ghibli Hybrid It's making its global debut on July 16 Maserati's first production-bound hybrid powertrain will be inaugurated by the Ghibli, its entry-level model. The Italian firm released a short preview video to announce the model's imminent global debut. Posted on its official Facebook page, the 10-second-long video shows the front end of a Ghibli with blue lightning crashing across its grille, a feature that will presumably not be available on the production car. Although it doesn't reveal the hybrid's final design, let alone what's behind the grille, the flick confirms the gasoline-electric Ghibli will not look drastically different than the gasoline-only model. Minor trim differences will set the two sedans apart. As we've previously reported, we expect the Ghibli will receive a plug-in hybrid drivetrain (rather than mild or standard hybrid technology) capable of powering it on electricity alone for short distances. It will stand proud as the first in a long line of electrified Maserati models, because every car the brand releases in the coming years will incorporate some degree of electrification. Additional hybrid models are in the pipeline, and the replacements for the GranTurismo and GranCabrio due out in 2021 and 2022, respectively, will be Maserati's first electric cars. Maserati will introduce the hybrid Ghibli online on July 16 at 1 p.m. in Modena, Italy, which is 7 a.m. in New York City and 4 a.m. in Los Angeles. Additional information (including details about American availability) will be published right after the car breaks cover, and deliveries are tentatively scheduled to start before the end of 2020. What's next? The on-going COVID-19 pandemic side-tracked Maserati's plans, but 2020 remains on track to become one of the most significant years in the company's 106-year long history. It's putting the final touches on a mid-engined coupe tentatively called MC20 that will receive a new, 630-horsepower V6 engine developed in-house. The two-seater's unveiling is now scheduled for September 2020, and it will hit the track shortly after its introduction.
  14. I think so but tbh i never tried pushing her. Shes 12yrs old. I did not buy the GT fer raw performance. Its more for the feel of the na v8 just cruising n sound of the engine...n her looks. I think this is the last gen of Maseratis with na v8 4.2L with a Ferrari engjne. Future generations of Maseratis will have reduced capacity, downsized prob on turbo, n the partnership with Ferrari would have ended with this Maserati Granturismo. So its owning a piece of history.
  15. I was torn between R8 n Maserati GT n finally bought the Granturismo fer its Ferrari built in Modena engine, n its looks n its far more pratical. No regrets so far. N yah the exhaust note on its v8 na
  16. Sorry too much GranTurismo and not enough Efini - too many straight lines, missing the double bubble roof, and the face is too different to its namesake.
  17. Businessman with previous convictions jailed 6 weeks plus $10k fine for drunk driving. Licence also kantong 8 years. His ride? A Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale. Reason? His valet driver allegedly did not know how to drive this sophisticated car so he "demonstrated" for 710m.....and kena road block. Story in zao bao: (Source: http://www.zaobao.com.sg/znews/singapore/story20161019-679738 )

  20. Just wanna get you guys opinion on COE renewed (first fresh 10 years) sports cars like the GTR, 997 911, Cayenne, GranTurismo etc. These are going for like 18k depre onwards. Would you bite? I nearly went for a base 997 but the thought of the high road tax, high FC and lack of PARF made me decide not to. And trying to sell it after a few years is an issue too. But the thought of driving such supercars at an affordable depre still sounds like an attractive proposition, running costs aside. Hmm..
  21. Which is the best race car simulator? Personally ive only tried Forza & GranTurismo 5, so Id say GranTurismo 5 is a v close fight w Forza. 24. Judge cuts jail term in 'peculiar' drink-driving case Culprit was showing valet driver how to drive brand-new Maserati A third-time drink-driver saw his jail sentence reduced by a third - from six weeks to four - after he succeeded yesterday in his appeal to the High Court over the unusual circumstances of his case. Having learnt his lesson from two drink-driving convictions, businessman Wang Kim Fatt had hired a valet driver to take him home whenever he went out drinking. Wang, 53, even included the valet driver in his car insurance policy as the second driver. But after drinks one night last March, the valet asked Wang to demonstrate how to drive his new Maserati. The valet told him he was not familiar with the controls. Wang had picked up the $600,000 GranTurismo MC Stradale from a dealer just hours earlier. The supercar does not have a gear shift; instead, the gearbox is robotised and the drive modes are activated by paddle shifters. Wang got into the driver's seat with the valet next to him and drove for 710m before he was stopped at a police roadblock in Mayne Road, off Mackenzie Road. He was arrested after failing a breathalyser test. Wang was initially sentenced by a district court to six weeks' jail, a $10,000 fine and an eight-year driving ban after he pleaded guilty to his third drink-driving offence. He accepted the fine and ban but appealed against the jail term. His lawyer, Mr Daniel Chia, argued that while six weeks' jail is within sentencing norms for the typical third-time offender, Wang's jail term should be shortened as his case was "peculiar and special". Deputy Public Prosecutor Kong Kuek Foo argued that Wang ought to know he should not have been driving and that six weeks was in the lower range for such offences. Judge of Appeal Chao Hick Tin agreed that the circumstances were not typical and cut Wang's jail term. He noted that Wang did make an effort to comply with the law but "a certain situation arose". "He should have left the car in the parking lot rather than try to demonstrate to the driver how to operate the machine," said the judge. Mr Chia said his client's decision was a "costly lapse of judgment". He said: "The prospect of leaving the brand-new car overnight in the carpark was unpleasant." Wang was first convicted of drink driving in 1994; he was fined $3,500 and disqualified from driving for two years. In 2006, he was jailed a week, fined $8,000 and handed a four-year driving ban for his second offence. http://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/courts-crime/judge-cuts-jail-term-in-peculiar-drink-driving-case well done, now precedence set, in future DUI cases will chut the same pattern.
