  1. Hello Everyone, I saw that some drivers in the Honda jazz fit group on Facebook received notifications of vehicle recall due to Fuel pump impeller. Personally, i have not received the notifications but out of curiosity, i went to onemotoring to check on it since my car is a Honda Fit manufactured in 2019. True enough, it was under a recall program. Under the Onemotoring page, i was advised to contact the importer or dealer for rectifications. I have since then contacted the importer to ask for advice. However, i was directed to contact my dealer to get it rectified instead. My dealer may have closed down and I shared this with the importer. I was informed to get it rectified at my own workshop. My work shop however have turned down this rectification work as they do not know exactly what needs to be replace or changed. As the description of it is very brief. "Improper molding conditions in the impeller (resin impeller) of a low-pressure fuel pump can cause the resin density to become low, causing it to swell and become deformed by the fuel. As a result, the impeller may come into contact with the pump case, causing the fuel pump to malfunction, and in the worst-case scenario, the engine may stall while driving. Replace the low-pressure fuel pump with a countermeasure item." I have since informed the importer that my dealer has possible closed down and that my workshop do not want to do the job - pending their reply. Any advice from anyone who have faced or are facing such issues at the moment ? Thank you.
  2. TL;DR – A Honda Fit cuts into the path of a cam car in an extremely reckless manner, nearly causing an accident. Caption from the video post on Roads.sg Facebook page. Watch the 10-second video below to find out what it means. What happened The incident occurred along Bukit Panjang Ring Road at about 6.45pm on 7th of December 2022. A blue/purple Honda Fit filters onto the main road and immediately changes lane recklessly. This abrupt lane change causes cam car to jam the brakes and depress the horn. It’s a short one today but let this serve as a public service announcement of sorts. Moral of the story There will always be idiots on the roads like this. It doesn’t mean that nothing will happen to you even if you have the right of way. Keep that in mind folks. Online Chatter As always, let’s see what people have to say. True stories. It refers to the Honda Fit. Just in case anyone’s wondering. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!
  3. TL;DR – A Honda Fit turns right onto oncoming traffic and casually makes an illegal U-turn straight after. It’s not every day you get to see a small hatchback like a Honda Fit make a super-wide U-turn. How wide, you ask? Like driving against oncoming traffic before making an illegal U-turn kind of wide. Watch the 31-second video to find out what I mean. What happened It all begins at a discretionary right turn at a cross junction, location unidentifiable (if you know where this is, do let me know in the comments section below). A Honda Fit makes the turn but accidentally turns into oncoming traffic. While most drivers would hit that panic button at this point, this Fit driver calmly makes an illegal U-turn, cool as a cucumber. A very expensive u-turn As noted in the caption of the post in Roads.SG's Facebook page: But there are some other considerations as well: Driving without due care or reasonable consideration for other road users – 9 demerit points and $300 fine Reckless or dangerous driving – 24 demerit points and prosecution in court Personally, it feels like an accident, and the driver made a calm and composed decision to rectify the mistake as soon as it was safe to do so. But as always, let’s see what netizens think. Online Chatter Hmm. Doesn’t seem like it though. That's quite funny. Is this comment targeted at the driver, or the comments flaming the driver? I'm confused. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!
  4. Checking for traffic is always a crucial skill to have as a driver! In this video, the cam car travels alongside a blue Honda Fit in the middle lane of the road. As the Fit drives past a bus stop, the vehicle starts sliding to the left lane without turning on its signal lights. At the same time, an SBS bus was attempting to exit the bus lane and merge into the left lane without checking. Assuming that the vehicles on the left lane would give way, the bus enters the road. Upon noticing that the bus captain was not going to let him pass, the Fit driver started to hit the brakes. As you can guess, the Fit crashes into the side of the bus before coming to a complete stop. This is why you don't zone out during the defensive driving portion of your lessons! Bus priority schemes Several netizens quickly pointed out that the bus driver was wrong to assume that he would be given priority to exit the bus lane when there was no bus priority box printed on the road. According to LTA, Drivers are to stop and give way to buses exiting the bays when they notice this road marking. However, there was no bus priority box marking on the roads in the video. The bus captain should have checked for oncoming traffic before leaving. Netizens' reactions Looks like this bus captain needs to brush up on his driving theory! All jokes aside, this incident has taught us all an important lesson - always perform your safety checks! ========= Receive a $10 PayNow for every submission we publish on Facebook! 6. The driver of a yellow Honda fit attempted to evade carpark payment but ended up failing and was confronted by the driver of the white Skoda Octavia he was tailgating instead. Here's the video This incident took place at the carpark of Takashimaya. In the video, the yellow Honda Fit tries to evade parking fees by tailgating a white Skoda Octavia. But the driver of the Octavia was having none of it and intentionally blocked the Honda Fit. Leaving it awkwardly stuck under the gantry arm. The Skoda driver then exits his car in agitation while walking towards the Honda Fit to confront the driver. Noteworthy: There is an ongoing promotion for 2 hours of free parking at Ngee Ann City, with no minimum spend. Is it worth committing a parking offence over that few dollars? If guilty of tailgating at an EPS exit gantry to avoid payment, the Honda Fit driver could face a $70 fine. Repeat offenders may be charged in court. Netizens' comments The conclusion seems to be clear-cut 🤐 Undoubtedly, there has been an increased occurrence of payment evasion offences, with these offences being committed by tailgating the front vehicle. Here are some recent cases of payment evasion: Mitsubishi Lancer tailgating camcar out of carpark Hyundai Avante tailgating and got confronted by camcar Toyota Sienta tailgating camcar out of SuperBowl Jurong carpark However, the most unusual occurrence of payment evasion belongs to this purple Volkswagen Scirocco. TBH, I am damn puzzled as to why the driver damaged his Scirocco to evade paying his carpark fees. The math just does not add up. --- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. We’ll even give you $100 cash if you find a better offer elsewhere! 8. A driver was caught reversing dangerously along Braddell Road with a moderate amount of traffic. It's insane! I know! The incident took place yesterday (July 6) at 3pm (which is around the time when traffic starts to pick up at that area). A red Honda Fit having missed the initial exit leading towards Lorong Chuan/CTE(SLE) along Braddell Road (see map to see where we think this happened), stops in the middle of the road with total disregard of the motorist behind it. As the video progresses, you realise that it's slowly reversing and stopping every few seconds to avoid crashing into other drivers. Even heavy vehicles had to stop and switch lanes when they noticed what the driver was doing. Who is this mad driver? According to eyewitnesses, the driver was a lady who appeared to be in a rush towards her destination. This was incredibly hard to watch and it's a miracle that she managed to get away with it. Netizens’ reactions According to the Driver Improvement Points System (DIPS), reversing unnecessarily on roadways is a serious offence. If caught, the driver will be issued 6 demerit points and a composition fine of $200. --- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. 10. Here's another battle of egos between two drivers. Spotted on SG Road Vigilante is the video of a camera car going up against a Honda Fit that has a Private-hire decal. It also has a P-plate in case you didn't notice. To cut to the chase, both drivers ended up facing each other on a single lane road that was filled with other vehicles illegally parked on one side. A not-very-pleased lady then got out of her Honda and went up to the camera car before giving him/her a piece of her mind. We don't hear or see anything from the camera car's end but we reckoned something happened, causing the lady to flash her middle finger before heading back into her Fit. Sadly, we don't get see how this silly battle of pride and ego ends in the video. In our opinion, both drivers seemed foolish. Is it so hard to just give way so that everyone can move on? Let us know in the comments what you guys think!

  18. It seems that Asian automakers somehow have the ability to manufacture pretty interesting super-mini cars. Take a look at the Mitsubishi Mirage, for example. It seems like Mitsubishi tried to shrink the car so that it can just fit into the A-segment. However, with Honda, things seem to change a little bit as the Japanese automaker seems to be lean towards practicality. You see, instead of competing in the A-segment as well just like the Mirage does, the Honda Fit (also known as the Jazz here) plays in the B-segment and it's quite big too. Carrying a chunky boot capacity of 335 litres, I think the Fit is a leader in its class. However, if you are satisfied with the boot capacity of the current generation Honda Fit, you may feel happier to know that Honda is already preparing the next generation Honda Fit that carries a total of 400 litres when it comes to bringing along your stuffs. Yes, you heard it right, it's the 2014 all new Honda Fit that's in the works! The car will make its first bow to the public of its home country by the end of 2013, after which it will also go global. But thanks to these accompanying Japanese scans, we're not going to have to wait that long just to know how the car will possibly look like. These scans manage to show us some parts of the car, including the interior and possible colour choices - two of which seem to be very bright neon colours - that Honda will be offering for its latest Fit. While the car is supposed to play in the B-segment still, it has grown a little, by 60mm (that's around a little above 2 inches). So, the car now measures 3,960mm. Well, don't be disappointed if you're keen on practicality that comes from a smaller size. The smaller the size of the car is, the easier it is for you to manoeuver through traffic, right? But, the good news is that passengers will have more spacious legroom, thanks to the wheelbase that now has a length of 80mm. This growth in size is probably partially due to the new architecture the car is being built upon. I believe it is this new architecture that Honda will also use in order to produce its very first SUV/crossover in the B-segment. Well, honestly, the car looks modern and is also prettier than the previous generation Honda Fit, although it does look kind of boxy in a few spots. The car also borrows a transparent nose that we've come to know from the Honda Civic hatchback of the previous generation. Now, let's get to the most important part of a car - under the hood. With the 2014 Honda Fit, we'll have the privilege to choose between a 1.2-litre and a 1.4-litre VTEC petrol engines. And, if we choose the latter, we'll also be able to choose a six-speed automatic transmission. Yet, for those who live in the European continents of this world, a 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel engine that produces 120bhp is also an available option. Actually, I would say that there's still one engine that Honda will probably offer with its 2014 all new Fit. That would be the hybrid engine with a total capacity of 1,500cc in addition to a power output of 110bhp. This engine is previously used by the Civic as well. However, this engine will only see the light of day provided that the seemingly hybrid car pictured in the scans is actually a hybrid car indeed. Despite a bigger size than its older brother, the car maintains a light weight. This is possible thanks to the fact that the head and block utilises aluminium alloy. So, with its bigger size that makes for more spacious legrooms, do you think that the 2014 All New Honda Fit is still practical enough for you to be interested in? If you feel like sharing your thoughts, the comment section below may be your best friend.
  19. Hijacking this to my question. Vehicle Make: HONDA Vehicle Model: FIT 1.3G A An indicator has light up and is up for a a week already but the car still works great. It seems to be related to the key. What does that indicator mean? What do I have to do? Also, I bought this car 2nd hand and I don't have the driver's manual. :( I have downloaded a lot of honda fit driver manual but they do not have the same symbol I have changed my car key battery but indicator still up. I have also took my 2nd car key and hold it near the ignition switch but indicator still up. *photo size is too big, so i link the url http://i.imgur.com/XkxpXIq.jpg http://i.imgur.com/yANvAF0.jpg http://i.imgur.com/tlbZhs1.jpg separately, how much does it cost to clone my car key? I think the system was installed by the previous owner. I am not sure if it is original with the car. The system works like this: When the key is near to the car, I wont have to press the unlock button to unlock the car. I just place my hand under door handle and it will unlock. Also, if the key is not near the driver area, I won't be able to turn the ignition switch. I have went to soxi to ask for cost and they quote me $1000. is this the market rate? *photo size is too big, so i link the url http://i.imgur.com/PwqsKto.jpg http://i.imgur.com/goCYbBT.jpg
  20. Subcompact cars including the Fiat 500 and Honda Fit performed the worst of any vehicle segment so far in a tough new test that assesses what happens when the front corner of a vehicle hits another car, a utility pole or tree. Only one of 11 minicars tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety won an overall "acceptable" rating in the so-called small overlap front crash test, the Chevrolet Spark made by General Motors Co, IIHS said on Wednesday. The Honda Fit and Fiat 500, made by No. 3 United States (US) automaker Chrysler Group LLC, were the worst performers. The results prompted Consumer Reports magazine to drop its recommendation of the Fit on Wednesday. Consumer Reports said, however, that it expected the upcoming, newly redesigned 2015 Fit to pass the test "based on the newness of its design and Honda's recent accomplishments with this stringent test". http://www.straitstimes.com/breaking-news/money/story/most-minicars-fail-new-crash-test-fiat-500-honda-fit-worst-20140123

  22. In order to gain the upper hand in the subcompact car market segment, Honda has unveiled the new 2012 Honda Fit in the United States (Honda Jazz in some countries). The 2nd generation Fit is one of Japan's more popular subcompact hatchback (with a total of more than 500 lots, there are more than 20 examples at my housing parking lot alone). First introduced in late 2007, for the 2008 model year, it is about time that this model gets an update. The Fit lineup continues unchanged into 2012, and still consists of the base Fit and the Fit Sport. Both get new cup holders, console ambient lighting, and additional sound insulation in the floor, front fenders, and A-pillars
  23. I'm interested..further discussion can be arrange from here..
  24. Honda's family hatch has been one of our nation's favourites. Now it seems that the time is ripe for it to transcend into the next generation. So how will the evolution fare? The third generation of the Fit will come in a total of four variants - the 13G, 15X, hybrid, and RS. The 13G is fitted with a 1.3-litre DOHC i-VTEC, mated to either a five-speed manual or CVT (with optional paddle shifters). On paper, Honda claims that the 1.3G is capable of returning 26km/L, with part credits to its new CVT gearbox. The 15X comes with a 1.5-litre under the hood, with a choice of six-speed manual or CVT gearbox. The new engine utilises Honda's direct injection technology for better performance, and is said to be 10 percent more powerful than the one it replaces. The hybrid, as always, packs the most amount of tech gizmos. It features a new one-motor i-DCD Sport Hybrid system that is coupled to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. When moving off from stationary, the system engages EV mode to improve fuel efficiency. Three driving modes are available - EV Drive, Hybrid Drive and Engine Drive. The hybrid claims an impressive fuel economy of 36.4km/L. If you asks us, the interior of the new Fit looks simple, yet appealing. The hybrid will get an snob gear stick that looks like it was taken from a spaceship - and we like this special treatment. The standard petrol-driven Fit, on the other hand, will have a redesigned fuel tank that gives more space to the cabin. From this picture it seems that rear legroom has been enhanced by quite a bit. Then, there is the RS variant for the boy racers. While we are sure it wouldn't outrun any of the hot hatches out there, it sure looks the bit. Of course, there is the question of whether the RS will even land on our shores. That said, the rest of the range should make their debut in Singapore somewhere in the mid of next year. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
