hey, since the latio sports is similar to the Megane, and Ive even heard that the latio was based on the Megane, is it advisable or compatible to use Megane Parts on the Latio Sports? Items like the front strut bar and anti roll bar... Appreciate your advises!

Usually, I prefer to inspect the condition of a car out in the open with natural sunlight regardless its before or after the detailing as natural light can show up lotsa defects. For this Megane, it was the opposite. Maybe its due to its colour, the outdoor light concealed most of the watermarks on the 3 horizontal panels. It was until the car was washed and claybared and moved indoor under florescent lights that the state of the watermarks were truly revealed. Extra passes were required on the 3 horizontal panels to minimise the marks and here's the end results. I ended in the evening, so the final pics were taken indoor. Roof:

Hello, was wondering if any owners of the above models (all 1.6L cars for around $71k; Ford Focus not being considered) would be able to give me feedback on the following aspects: 1) the quality of the cars ie any defects causing trouble requiring workshop repair within lets say, the first 3 years 2) the technical support by the dealerships 3) generally what they're like to drive on a daily basis. Looking for feedback on what it's like to own any of these on a long term basis, having test driven them. Thanks so much!

Hi all, I am posting on behalf of my nephew who has some problems with his 3 Yrs + Megane Classic. The engine will die off when there is no throttle response. Last week it was towed to the WS . Scanning did not disclose any problem. Today, same problem happened again. The car just lost power and did not respond to the accelerator, and it needed to be towed to WS. Could anyone shed some light on what the problem is ?

If you have the money to buy and would like the new Megane, would you go for the hatch or the sedan. Views welcomed... The hatch looks good to me but seems like some car lovers think its ugly. I think its clearly a love it or hate it type of look. Anyway, most car buyers voted sedan with the number of sedans on the road versus the hatch.

Been staring at a yellow Megane Coupe today... great looking car if you stare long enough and when in a dilemma about what car to get. Good specs for cars in its class. Any Megane coupe drivers out there who can review the car? I dunno about Renault cars these days, but way back they give as much problems as Alfas and Fiats. i need HONEST views... if it's crap, I'll scrap. Cheers T. Monk

I'm on the verge of taking the last unit of the 1st shipment of the MeganeII 4dr hatchback cos I really like the look and the drive. Am going for the 1.4(M) which is selling at 84777 which is expensive rite? Wonder if its really worth to pay that much for also there are some lacking in equipment like no power window for the rear and manual stalk adjustment for the side mirror thou don't really use them but ain't that std even on the Thailand made Jap model... What is your opinion? If I'm buying it is by the heart cos my brain keeps telling it too X... Hai I'm sick rite?
