I just changed my air-con valve and condenser and thoroughly flushed the piping system. Thereafter, I topped it up with new air con gas and oil. It costs me a whopping $830 😐 There was a leak and since it is an old car already, I might as well just change the old parts in case they fail again. I hope it last me for many more years.

Will it see the daylight on our sunny island soon? I seriously doubt so given the unreasonably high cat A COE premium. The new Vios was launched on 9 August 2022 in Thailand as the Yaris Ativ. It is developed by Daihatsu through a joint Toyota-Daihatsu internal company known as Emerging Market Compact Car Company (EMCC) under the lead of executive chief engineer Hideyuki Kamino. It is based on the DNGA-B platform shared with the Raize and the W100 series Avanza. The model is introduced with a 70 mm longer wheelbase at 2,620 mm (103.1 in). Compared to its predecessor, the car features a fastback-like sloping rear roof section which stretched the window line further back. Following the foot steps of Mitsubishi Attrage, it will be equipped with the 3NR-VE 1.2-litre engine with Dual VVT-iE technology producing 93 horsepower / 110 Nm torque, and paired with a Toyota-made CVT gearbox marketed as Super CVT-i. No words if it will be followed by the regular 1.5L engine.

I have a toyota vios 2017 and i find the bass quite lacking , want to install a subwoofer or something to improve it. As a student my budget is extremely tight so it would help if anyone can help me with this. i have about 500 to spend. is it possible?

The NCP93 VVT-i Vios engine is really powerful, cute and small at the same time. Now even Perodua Myvi 2017 are using the engine! The boot space is really big, and I can put all my rubbish inside without worrying dirty my car seats! The car come with hybrid of GT Street and TRD body kit that help to improve the aerodynamics of the car that cruising at 200km/h. This is no joke, man. I love the car because it don't have cruise control, volume control, paddle shift control on steering, etc...

I am currently driving the above. Been having 3 unresolved issues up till now. Steering wheel sometimes pull to one side suddenly for no apparent reason travelling on an even/straight road. Do I need to do wheel alignment/tyre rotation and balancing? Steering wheel sometimes pull to one side during braking. Do I need to do wheel alignment/tyre rotation and balancing? Loud creaky noises from front passenger door when making full turns at low speeds (Occur whenever I drive the car out for the first time in the day). I don't know how to resolve this. What brake pad can I change to on a 05 or 06 Vios. Left two yeas left but need to change coz I tried the car recently and the stopping is terrible. Will not vbe doing braided hose as that would be too much effort. Fluid have been changed a few times. I am suspecting brake pads, I have sprayed brake cleaner with no improvement. What pads can I buy? I hope to get some better pads and brake dust or rotor wear is fine.

Hey guys, I am getting my new Toyota Vios in a few weeks but it did not come with a reverse camera. I like to check with Vios owner if I can just install the reverse camera and link up ti the stock dvd player or I need to buy a brand new full set? Thks.

There have been previous discussions on whether the Vios is worth it/not worth it. It always depends on a priority of interests; if you want something tried, tested, with cheap maintenance due to availability of parts, you have to live with the old engine and 4-speed auto gearbox which have been around since the very first rendition of Vios in 2002. I was wondering why hardly anyone brings us the option of going PI and get an Axio instead. Axio: http://www.sgcarmart.com/new_cars/newcars_overview.php?CarCode=11325 Newer technology with CVT, various dealers selling, at most $115k. Vios: http://www.sgcarmart.com/new_cars/newcars_overview.php?CarCode=11315 A Vios costs at least $123k now, and you all know how old the technology is. An Axio is ultimately a Corolla, which is one notch above Vios. Yet it's selling at a lower price, just because it's not from an authorised dealer. Although an Axio is smaller than the Altis, it still shares more technical underpinnings with it that should give it an advantage over the Vios. I really see no case for the Vios now.

To the RED Totoyta VIOS running on ECP on the 30th Nov at 7+pm. You want to drive like a hell driver tailgate, and over take and jam brakes darn go far far away... Your bloody sense of driving is endangering other drivers on the road. SHP2517Z think this is the car plate number... Out of these 3 models, I'm looking at 2009-2010 models I wish to downgrade my 2.0L Impreza Hatchback due to.... Low Usage, only 39K Mileage, 2years+ Have a 1yo baby now (boot space very cramp with pram) Rearseat also cramp with Baby seat and also don't intend to spend so much on car now as want to plan for 2nd baby. My first 2 choices were Honda City and Airwave but looking at VIOS also cause resale value seems like in future, in the event if i need to change car due to car problem/family, it will be able to fetch more than Honda right? Or should I keep my current car? Kindly advise, tia!
