  1. Altis consider compact sedan? Maybe you can consider this. I think elantra is not consider that compact. Unless you are talking about city and vios. To me i always find driving those 2.0L sedan and those 1.6L sedan like not much difference. If i want a bigger car, would go straight to an SUV, would not consider those camry, mazda 6 and accord. Those 1.6L sedan i find is good enough.
  2. Wah what a waste , fortunately the Parf for vios is less than 10k like my altis, so it is still fine to write off over 5 years.
  3. My friends Vios is reaching year 15 this year …mileage is 250k ++.car is still very good condition and drive able but unfortunately he did only 5 years PQP only ……. so mati mati have to scrap
  4. Hi all, I'm a newbie here first time buying car. Im interested at elantra, avante, vios and shuttle. What's the reasonable price for the cars and how much depre to look at? My wife prefer PARF Car but yet to view any yet. Im OK with COE car. But now COE damn high, Used Car also follow COE price.
  5. Small boot... 413L if I convert correctly? Like Vios lol I wonder hatchback version how big is boot
  6. I love 3 pedal car. Not much chances to drive one now. My daughter in Aussie is driving a 3 pedal Vios.
  7. just last night, i encountered the same thing at the same point. a toyota vios in the same lane as this cb XC40. i have beedio downloaded just in case.
  8. I just changed my air-con valve and condenser and thoroughly flushed the piping system. Thereafter, I topped it up with new air con gas and oil. It costs me a whopping $830 😐 There was a leak and since it is an old car already, I might as well just change the old parts in case they fail again. I hope it last me for many more years.
  9. Will it see the daylight on our sunny island soon? I seriously doubt so given the unreasonably high cat A COE premium. The new Vios was launched on 9 August 2022 in Thailand as the Yaris Ativ. It is developed by Daihatsu through a joint Toyota-Daihatsu internal company known as Emerging Market Compact Car Company (EMCC) under the lead of executive chief engineer Hideyuki Kamino. It is based on the DNGA-B platform shared with the Raize and the W100 series Avanza. The model is introduced with a 70 mm longer wheelbase at 2,620 mm (103.1 in). Compared to its predecessor, the car features a fastback-like sloping rear roof section which stretched the window line further back. Following the foot steps of Mitsubishi Attrage, it will be equipped with the 3NR-VE 1.2-litre engine with Dual VVT-iE technology producing 93 horsepower / 110 Nm torque, and paired with a Toyota-made CVT gearbox marketed as Super CVT-i. No words if it will be followed by the regular 1.5L engine.
  10. 👏👏👏👏👏 Reckless driver of Toyota Vios skipped the traffic light by cutting across the road from filter lane when there were oncoming vehicles from both directions..mp4
  11. Uphill also can lose control.. satki vios..
  12. This B&B car is Left Hand Drive! or cam car alter the video to hide something?!?! mirror image? Just surprise the Toyota Vios steering is on the other side.
  13. Jialat liao. Not sure how many Vios here will be involved. The journalist never do homework. Toyota where got Toyota Perodua Axia
  14. hi everyone, i read the threads in this forum with enthusiasm everytime. the comments and discussions are very informative to a new driver like me. I have a VIOS and it runs on a 14" set of rims. i am thinking of upgrading the rims but could not decide whether i shld go up 1 or 2 sizes. has anyone upgraded from a 14" and how is it? pls advise? thks.
  15. But that $145 might already be his upper lilmit, especially with the high interest rate now.... But actually Vios now that bad la, and i saw the upcoming one is even better.... https://www.motorist.sg/article/1631/upcoming-toyota-vios-makes-its-debut-in-thailand-cabin-is-a-big-step-up-from-outgoing-car
  16. But lets say the price for a vios is $145k, wonder who would want to pay such price for an entry level vios. So if people already willing to pay such a high price, maybe they would rather pay another 20k-30k for altis.
  17. This will only be my retirement fun activity. Below video is for Vios for my future reference.
  18. Labour cost tends to be higher than parts cost in Singapore. I also use KYB for my Vios.
  19. Just sharing that the older Toyota Vios NCP93 tends to have this screeching sound during car start-up. It is a sign that the engine belt pulley bearings are wearing out. It costs less than $100 to replace inclusive of part and labour.
  20. I just shared my workshop contacts with you via PM. Based on my earlier repair of rear and front suspensions for my Toyota Vios, around $1.1k should be enough for this model. I am not sure what is your car model. Normally, petrol station workshops charge a slight premium of 10-20% compared to normal workshops. You pay a premium for the convenience.
  21. Don't know why Sunny and Corolla/Altis always link with ah pek vibes de. Even like toyota already improved their design on their Altis recently to move away from ah pek vibes. Anyway, around year 2000 era, corolla and later altis really like only pek would buy. So when they launched the vios, for those who want a toyota and yet don't want to have the ah pek vibes, many flock to buy the vios.
  22. This road anything unusual? I think Toyota vios also can safely clear it leh 🤔
