  1. My PI quoted me $1450 for NTUC AFTER 40% NCD for this car. Sounds pretty high to me, is that right? It's a 1.8L WISH, FDM 2009 model. Tks.
  2. Anyone knows of a silver wish drove into the ditch after hitting a Tree? Tree no damage, wish quite smashed up at the rear. Yap, i do not have picture as was driving past. Police was there but never see any drivers.
  3. Even the president of the US of A can watch the entire operation live at the white house!!
  4. Hi experts in japanese makes, need help from you guys/girls. Looking at used model of these 2 MPVs... Around 2006 or 2007 model... Size i think is around the same, right? In terms of performance, which one is better in terms of acceleration and handling? What about reliability? Safety? Thanks...
  5. Dear bro and sis, i just bought a 2nd hand 08 wish, but register 07. it never comes with an alarm but the SE told me that it comes with an immobilizer, is it true?
  6. Ever since I was taking bus / MRT, I have fantasized about the Ferrari. I like the beautiful head turning looks, the powerful performance and the sexy red colour. I could imagine myself looking so good riding one. Unfortunately I had only loose change so I can't even make it past the showroom doors. I tried my best and worked very hard hoping to make enough moolah but still failed by a long shot. In fact I probably cheesed off the Ferrari saleslady with my unwanted stooging around the showroom. So I downgraded my expectations to a Porsche. Still a very nice car and won't lose face in front of my friends. Although I could just about afford it if I ate only bread and water, the showroom staff don't even bother to serve me. Feeling very tulan, I flirted with the idea of just importing my car directly from overseas. Although some have gotten nice rides cheaper this way, there are many horror stories about about lack of aftersales support and the car not adapted for local conditions so I gave it a miss. So now I am just driving a bread and butter car, no different than those annonymous thousands packing the roads. Thinking logically, I should be very grateful to be driving a relatively fuss free and affordable car. A reliable machine that don't give much trouble even though it will never win any car awards. In fact, there are people older than me who still haven't gotten their first car yet. But in my heart I still yearn for Ferrari, especially when one zips by with a fat, balding creep inside. What makes him so special? It should have been me.
  7. I would like to post this question to any forummers who are toyota wish owners and has done ice installs with amps, do you change or upgrade the battery? I checked the battery tray and found that it is slightly bigger than the battery and the space in the engine compartment is congested. A bigger size battery seemed to be out of the question, do you install an extra battery at the boot and run a charging cable from the alternator to the extra battery? Or replace the small battery to a higher voltage battery lke a deep cycle battery?any comments welcome. Thanks.
  8. Hi all, I would like to seek opinions on this 2 choices of colours for SSW Spider for my white Cs3. [Left: Gloss black with chrome outline, Right: Full hyper silver] My reason for choosing SSW is because it's affordable, acceptable quality with warranty, established brand, and I can choose to purchase individual rim in future if necessary. Anyone with opinions on which colour to choose? Also, ideas on other established brands with affordable pricing are welcomed. Thanks in advance!
  9. Dear 30sce officer, I saw yr new white wish, less than 1 yr based on your license plate, had a nasty bump on the rear and i really pity you. but after seeing u sway from 1 lane to another numerous times, without signal and recklessly, i think u deserve the bump. please keep it up and hope to see yr new bumper soon. cheers
  10. Shortlisted a few compact MPVs and narrowed down to these 2. Appreciate any constructive input.
  11. Some car models can do plastic surgery or heart-transplant? My wishlist:- RX8 has another version with an conventional engine say the 2.3 turbo of the Mazda6.......... i have no real issues with the wankle engine, but due to limited number of workshops to support the rotary engine, maybe a 'normal' engine as an option will be nice? I like the full four-seater and half-door concept, superb!! Similarly, the 350Z or 370z with the older GTR 2.4L engine or even the 2L S15 engine to suit sgp's rdtx system
  12. http://sg.news.yahoo.com/blogs/singaporesc...-190858639.html NSP's Nicole Seah apologises for MM Lee's comment. (Yahoo! photo/Fann Sim) National Solidarity Party (NSP) candidate Nicole Seah delivered a surprise apology to the Singapore Muslim community when she apologised for the comments made by Minister Mentor (MM) Lee Kuan Yew in his book, Hard Truths to Keep Singapore Going. In her rally speech to an estimated crowd of 15,000 at Mountbatten on Monday evening, the 24-year-old said, "On behalf of the Chinese Singaporeans, I would like to apologise to the Muslim community for the comments that MM Lee made." In his recently published book, MM Lee suggested that Singaporean Muslims should be less strict in their Islamic observances in order to integrate better into the society. However, he later issued a statement and said that he stands corrected on how well-integrated Malay-Muslims are in Singapore. Seah, who is part of the NSP team contesting in Marine Parade GRC, also addressed the crowd in Bahasa Melayu, touching on the concerns of the Malays. "I would like you to know that my hopes are for us to progress as one Singaporean regardless of race or religion. I would like to build a community where no one gets left behind." Seah's words had one of her Facebook followers, Alfian Sa'at, posting a thank you note on her page. He wrote: "As Malay voter, I wanted to thank you for apologising for MM's remarks although it's not something you have to do. I keep telling my Malay friends that throughout Parliamentary history, the ones who really spoke up for the Malay minority were opposition MPs such as Chiam See Tong." Seah also touched on the general anger at foreigners in Singapore, saying it may have been "misdirected". She said that the influx of foreigners should not be blamed for Singaporeans' stagnant wages, packed MRT trains and ballooning housing prices. "No my friends, the real target of our anger is the PAP government," she said, to a thunderous round of applause. Seah criticised the government's policies for allowing foreigners into Singapore which led to a variety of problems. The advertising executive also shared the policies she champion when elected. She intends to review industries on a case-by-case basis and will continue to allow work permits for foreigners in industries that are unpopular among Singaporeans. She also plans to review the foreign worker levy to encourage businesses to hire Singaporeans. On a lighter note in her speech, Seah joked that supporters in orange were forbidden from using the toilets at the nearby Mountbatten Community Club. Taking a jibe at the People's Action Party, she said, "I wonder if it was a PAP rally, would they have let us in." However, there was some drama near the rally when a car with an NSP flag was found vandalised with white paint. Photos of the car has gone viral, with netizens speculating that the culprit could have been supporters from the "other" party. A car parked near the NSP rally was vandalised with a dent on the car door and white paint spilled on it. 19. 'My car is longer' -- car takes up entire washing bay and driver refuses to move http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...ashing_bay.html STOMPer me was furious at this encounter at the car washing bay where this car took up two spaces under the excuse that the car was too long. The driver also tried to take the STOMPer's photo, prompting the STOMPer to do the same. The STOMPer said: "This inconsiderate car owner who occupied the entire washing bay meant for 2 cars, refused to move when approached. "They claimed that their car was too long but what they do not realise is that even people with bigger cars than theirs are not as inconsiderate as them. "Perhaps she thought I was blind but the lady even tried to take a picture of my car. "Luckily, I saw her from my rear view mirror, so I decided to take their picture as well. "They even have the cheek to tell me that there are other washing bays around and I should go elsewhere. "Why don't they go somewhere else first, since their car is 'longer' and needs more space!"
  20. Today went to lunch with colleagues in white sand meet a reckless toyota wish driver, driving recklessly, cutting lane here and there without signals. Ok nevermind let him cut. dun let him spoit my day. unforunately he went to the same eating place with me. proceed down to the carpark at whitesand, with him in front. he stop to let a car infront of him reverse into a lot. then suddenly he see a couple getting into a car beside his passager side and preparing to go off. He suddenly reverse gear and reverse in a very fast speed toward my car KNN. I was only half a car body length away from this A****** I was unable to reverse as there are car behind me honk and high beam at him but he continue, after he park his car and alight with 3 , went confront him ask him how he drive, but he reply make me even more , he reply i see your car, not happy complain to LTA. Mr, you want to show off your FARKING driving skill to your female colleagues dun do it in other driver expense. [furious] do you know how close your rear is to my car, if you hit it I'm 100% sure that you will change your story and say I hit your arse KNN. so every bro out there if you see this toyota wish give him a wide gap especially in car park, you dun know when he will do irrational thing
  21. A black nicely done up Wish caught my attention today while signalling left to give way to him. The Wish was going so fast I underestimate the speed which force me to swing back to the right as he decided to over take me from the left. Road condition was clear and soon after, I understand why......a White Golf GTI was super hot on his Tail......Fxxking Fast and Furious man....Which made me think.....Toyota Wish is much much faster then what was stated on PAPER...What do you think?
