With a potent five-cylinder engine and quattro AWD underpinnings, the all-new 2020 Audi RS Q3 provides a real point of difference to the hi-po four-cylinder brigade. It’s a big step forward from the old RS Q3, too, which always seemed to be an afterthought rather than a pre-planning exercise. Audi RS Q3 Sportback Tweaked By ABT With More Power, Custom Wheels The inline-five engine gets a 10-percent power hike. It’s safe to say ABT is quite happy with Audi Sport’s decision to expand its portfolio as that means more business for the tuner. One of the recent entries into the ever-growing lineup is the RS Q3 Sportback, a compact crossover suffering from a multiple personality disorder by trying to pass off as a coupe. While the vehicle’s shape is questionable, you probably won’t find anyone complaining about what’s under the hood. The inline-five engine is a dying breed and quite the rarity in the car industry nowadays, so we’re happy Audi is still installing the 2.5 TFSI in the RS3, TT RS, and the RS Q3. The tuners at ABT have been working on this engine for a while, so it comes as no surprise they’re now announcing an upgrade program tailored to the latest RS Sportback. Courtesy of the ABT Engine Control Unit, the turbocharged mill produced at the Győr plant in Hungary has been taken from 400 horsepower and 354 pound-feet (480 Newton-meters) to 440 hp and 384 lb-ft (520 Nm). The newly gained muscle is reflected in the hot crossover’s performances as the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) now takes just 4.3 seconds (-0.2s). The top speed has been modified as well, increasing from 155 mph (250 km/h) to 177 mph (285 km/h). ABT also made some changes on the outside by replacing the OEM wheels with its own 20-inch set. The wide spacing of the spokes has allowed the tuner to shave off some weight while boosting the visual appeal as the brake calipers are now more visible than before. At an additional cost, a bigger 21-inch set can be ordered.

Despite offering so much performance, there's space for our usual luggage test in the boot! And being a four-door, you'd expect sufficient space for your passengers as well, and the RS5 delivers. Hi All, Just got the Audi A6 about a month ago. Something confusing about the Audi drive select. When it is set to comfort mode sometime the gear shift changes to "S" mode instead of remaining in "D" mode. When i select and set to "Dynamic" and the gear shift changes to "S" but occasionally changes to "D" on its own even when in "Dynamic" mode. It is all very confusing. Audi Drive select does not seem to be consistent. Or is my unit having some issue? Sometimes in "Comfort" mode the car responses well and stays silent but sometime becomes draggy and engine loudness is noticeable.

Hi guys, I was about to commit a second hand about 2 years old A6 1.8 TFSI Ultra Edition. What is the pros and cons of this car? Tried searching but to no avail. Seems like there not much mentioned. Also, do you guys know how to differentiate the Matrix headlight? Heard that this is a very expensive option. Any comments and advises are welcome. Many thanks in advance.

VW Group, which already holds 99.64 percent of Audi, announced the squeeze-out plans in February. "Volkswagen AG announced and specified that it has set the cash settlement to be paid to the minority shareholders in return for the transfer of their shares at 1,551.53 euros per Audi AG share," the automaker said. This compares with a share price of 1,050 euros a piece on Tuesday and amounts to a purchase price of 237 million euros ($267 million) for the 152,749 outstanding Audi shares, according to Refinitiv data. The transfer is expected to be passed at Audi's next annual general meeting, which the automaker said should take place in July or August.

The Jaguar I-Pace rival was recently seen in disguised prototype form, showing design familiarity with the larger E-tron Sportback SUV-coupé. Audi confirmed via social media that the production model will be shown at a virtual world premiere, beginning at 6:15pm UK time. Details of the new electric model are yet to be revealed, but we can glean some information about the production car from last year's Q4 E-tron concept. That's 4.59m long and 1.9m wide - slightly shorter and wider than today’s Audi Q5. Comparing the concept and spied prototype suggests the overall shape hasn’t changed dramatically. Audi claims the concept has the interior space of a larger model, thanks to the substantial 2.77-metre wheelbase and lack of a transmission tunnel. The Q4 E-tron will be the first Audi to sit on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB bespoke EV platform; the E-tron and E-tron Sportback sit atop an adapted ICE car platform. The Q4 E-tron concept has a dual-motor powertrain comprising a 202bhp, 229lb ft motor powering the rear axle and a smaller motor powering the front wheels when traction is lost or full power is requested. The total system output is put at 302bhp. That's combined with an 82kWh battery pack yielding a WLTP-certified 280-mile range and the ability to charge at up to 125kW - resulting in an 80% charge in just half an hour. Expect the production Q4 E-tron Sportback to go on sale before the end of 2021.

Described as “a highly efficient electric car that is scheduled to be on the road as early as 2024”, the advanced Audi is an extension of the Aicon project showcased at the 2017 Frankfurt motor show. The new electric flagship is set to be a direct rival to the upcoming Mercedes-Benz EQS and Jaguar XJ and have the latest in electric drivetrain, battery cell and autonomous driving technology. It will also have 5G connectivity functions, including extensive use of ‘car-to-X’ features, augmented reality and over-the-air upgrades. The new model has the internal codename E6 and is in the early stages of development. Insiders suggest it will take the form of a sporting saloon or liftback. It is claimed to mirror the current A7 in external dimensions but offer the internal space of the larger A8. Sources at Audi’s Ingolstadt HQ in Germany suggest it could take the A9 E-tron name into production. Once launched, it will act as a technical showcase for up to 75 electric cars and 60 plug-in hybrids already planned by Volkswagen Group brands such as Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen as part of its €60 billion (£53.8bn) electrification strategy through to 2029. Audi has already revealed plans to launch up to 20 pure-electric and 10 plug-in hybrid models in a programme for which it has set aside up to €12bn (£10.8bn) of its planned €37bn (£33.1bn) R&D spend through to the end of 2024.

The Q2 1.4 TSFI now selling at $118K, thinking of getting it. Any feedback for those driving Q2?

You see it first in MCF! The two A1 models depicted in these photos are the 35 TSI and 40 TSI, both in S Line trim that apparently comes with more aggressively styled bumpers, a rear diffuser, rocker panels, bigger wheels and honeycomb grille on the outside, along with sportier details inside, like the trimmings, steering wheel and seats. At launch, the engine lineup will largely mirror its VW Polo cousin, with 116PS / 114hp 1.0-liter three-cylinder and 150PS / 148hp 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo gasoline units. Later on, we will see a hotter S1 with a 250+ hp 2.0-liter turbo and Quattro all-wheel drive. The A1’s dash is chock full of lines and angles (and pronounced air vents), typical of VW Group products these days. Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital instrument panel makes its way inside the A1, as does the new haptic MMI Touch touchscreen display used on the latest A6, A7, A8 and Q8. The colorful accents around the vents suggest that the smallest member of Audi’s lineup will offer plenty of customization and personalization options. The new A1 is built around the VW Group’s ubiquitous MQB A0 platform that combines aluminum and hot-formed steel within the floorpan. You can expect an increase in overall length, width and wheelbase, which will result in improved interior space for rear passengers and luggage capacity.

Hi, How many of you all have the Audi UTR installed in your car? I personally think it does a fairly ok job, though I won't get it separately if it is not already included in the car price. It is sometimes buggy and not very seamless to use. One of the gripes is that you can't just retrieve the saved recorded videos from your phone (I am using iPhone 7), to say sharing it on whatsapp or saving it in the phone's gallery etc.. To get the videos in file form, will have to take out the memory card to open it on a computer. Unless I am missing out on how to do it. Any reviews?

As they're old, cheap and four wheel drive, I'd always wanted to turn a Mk1 Audi TT into an off-roader. Then my daughter wanted a project so she could learn some mechanical skills... so we're doing it! Been going a little while but I wondered whether you guys would like to see it. A recent video uploaded on SG Road Vigilante of an Audi A4 using red and blue flashing lights to impersonate law enforcement vehicles has gone viral. The “less than 24-hour old” video has since gone viral and has about 250 shares (as of present). Here’s the video if you haven’t already seen it Video from SG Road Vigilante YouTube Colours of the law At about 19 seconds into the video, we see an Audi A4 light up with red and blue flashing lights to overtake or get past the car that was recording the video. A string of vulgarities can be heard coming from the driver. This is forgivable because ANYBODY would be pissed off if they had to scoot over and give way to a “police vehicle” only to find out that it was all a big fat lie. The footage doesn’t show the red and blue flashing lights tho, but it does show where the incident took place – Terminal 4, Changi Airport. A weak chase ensues The driver then decides to chase the Audi down (which was uncalled for but ego probably kicked in). For some reason, the Audi slows down at this single lane for a couple of seconds and the vulgarity spewing driver wastes no time in honking and high beaming to signal his displeasure. It’s a good thing that there was the Hyundai between them though or things might have escalated even further. The Audi seems like it wanted to stop but decided not to in the end and drove off. Angry driver tails for a while and the video cuts off. Two wrongs, no right We did some research and under no circumstance should you be using red and blue flashing lights unless you are from law enforcement. Mitsubishi Lancer and Audi TT survive one close shave!

Now that is one close shave. As seen on SG Road Vigilante's facebook page, an Audi TT failed to stop at the give way line, nearly crashing into a Mitsubishi Lancer Ex which had the right of way on 29th of April Eagle-eyed readers would have definitely spotted the P-plate sign on the Audi, signaling to us that this might just be a rookie's honest mistake. In our opinion, we thought the camera car would have gotten a larger shock, seeing the Lancer swerve into his lane along Sengkang West Road. On another note, should the Lancer have slowed down instead of (recklessly)accelerating into the camera car's lane?
