  1. [extract] PSA Peugeot-Citroen (officially Peugeot S.A.) has succeeded in raising 1 billion Euros via rights issue to strengthen its planned collaboration with General Motors. Chief Executive, Philippe Varin, stated that the capital injection will enable them to finance investments associated with the projects at the
  2. Anyone has any feedbacks about their sensodrive technology? would like to hear from users how durable are em as i read online, many times its due to firmware rather than hardware. thanks all!
  3. Hi, my dad is interested in these 2 cars. Just for an example of the exact spec and models, below are 2 links: C4 Focus As for the Focus, we are open to either the hatchback or the sedan version. Priorities are mainly reliability, fuel consumption and again, reliability. As he has spent almost 10k on repairs on his current car. I know for reliability, one should choose jap cars like toyota, honda etc. but my dad likes something different. I know these 2 models are quite low on power, but still drivable i guess. Read up abit and concluded that the focus is more of a fun car as in handling and the C4 is very comfortable. Any one can advise on any of these 2 models regarding reliability and maintainance issues? your feedback will very much be appreciated. Thanks!
  4. http://www.sgcarmart.com/new_cars/auth_car_info.php?AC=815 Hey, my friend is considering this car. Appearance aside, any idea what the maintenance is like? i really hope people wont simply bash at the maintenance cost simply becos its "conti" lets hear some genuine opinion

  6. Although the market is being increasingly flooded by super-minis these days, the super-mini giant is still the Mini.. ironically. There hasn't been much competition until recently with the launch of the new Fiat 500 and the Audi A1. Now though, theres a new challenger creeping up its back. And its no German Eurobox, its a French Citroen! The DS3 has just been let loose not too long ago and I'm going bonkers over it because I think its such a cute little car and with such a cool yet modern yet retro design all balled up into one lump of fantastic metal. It stands out from the crowd, setting itself apart from the boring and pretentious looking Audi A1 and trumps the re-invented Mini and Fiat 500 by miles. As with the Mini, there are many customization options which we can choose from which is a great thing, though of course the idea comes from the Mini, but who cares really? Since when did car companies have independent brains? Funny thing really, the DS3 shares the same engine as the Mini and yet somehow it feels like a happier place to be. The interior as expected, can be customized to your liking and colour combinations, definitely a hit with the ladies and maybe some guys.. and the Citroen can accommodate up to 5 people instead of 4 in the Mini. As for the powerplant, the 1.6l which produces a decent 118hp which is enough to get around Singapore roads comfortably. With its low emissions, this car is green and tree friendly and its fuel consumption is meager as well. The price is where it starts to hurt a little bit, at 94k, it will make you dig deeper into your pockets but at least you know you'll be owning something thats quite awesome..

  8. Alright Guys, I appreciate you all for answering to my previous topics. Now, I've really caught up in a dilemma . My Family and I finally came up with Citroen C4 Picasso 1.6 and Hyundai i45 2.0. My Family is a member of 4, including me. Generally tall(1.75m - 1.92m). We are looking for a spacious, a good branded, and a unique car. Both cars look good and have some similar features. So, I would appreciate it if you all can guide me through this and help me decide Which one to buy??

    Citroen C5

Hi Everyone, I'm a C5 1.8L (auto) owner. Would like to invite other Citroen C5 owners to share their encounter so far with Advance Automobile and the performance of their car. C5 is relatively new in Singapore. I believe it hit the road around Aug 2001 (correct me if I'm wrong). Any views or opinions welcome ! Thank you.
  10. Any feedback on these 2 cars? I'm looking at 2nd hand 06-07 model, i feel the price is reasonable compared to Jap cars of the same yr. My concern is the part availability and maintainence of the car. What are the things i need to take note when choosing 2nd hand C3 or Meriva?

  13. - a Peugeot 107 The Toyota recall debacle over its faulty accelerator pedal has spread its wings. We now find out that thousands of Peugeot 107 and Citroen C1 are being recalled. According to sources, up to a hundred thousand units in total could be affected. The reason for this is that both models are based on a Toyota. The Toyota Aygo. - Citroen C1 - Toyota Aygo Amazing what all of this platform sharing technology has gotten car manufacturers into. While platform sharing saves cost, allowing two or three different manufacturers to produce their own variants of the same car, we now know that defects may be shared due to parts sharing. All three cars are manufactured in Czechoslovakia (most probably for Europe/ left hand drive markets) in the same factory. Toyota is recalling up to 1.8 million cars all over Europe aside from the few million affected over in the United States and China. On another note, Honda would recall close to 650,000 of its Fit/Jazz and City models, including 140,000 in the United States, because of a faulty window switch, after a child died when fire broke out in a car last year. The years affected are the 2007-2008 models of which an overlap of the new and the old Fit/Jazz models took place. In other words, if you bought the last batch of Fit, Jazz or City, your car may be subject to the recall. Unless yours is a grey import Japan manufactured model which according to Honda isn't affected by all this drama. The thing is, to date (10.00am Monday 1st Feb), there have been no official press release on Kah Motors Honda Singapore on its official website. I'd suggest potential 'victims' of this problem contact the nearest Honda service center as soon as it is possible. Imagine a little short circuit causing your Honda to burst into flames. - If you own this Honda, you may want to make a visit to your neighborhood Honda Service Center. It is now time for all of the above car manufacturers to get into damage control mode and really stop the bleeding. Aside from a damaged reputation, an example of the monetary amount that could be lost from this matter, the National Automobile Dealers Association of America estimates that their Toyota dealers could lose up to US$2.5 billion in revenue and another few hundred million in recall fixes. Imagine the stock market losses too.
  14. any good reputable shops that can tune the above car engine to its original high performannce ??
  15. kangoo is almost 5 yrs old ... great ride but heart itching for a new ride... intended to get the big brother dispatch but decided against it.. coz it seemed intimidating to drive and park.. so had a look at the various rides and decided that pricing wise berlingo would be more suited for me ok..small review here of the new berlingo here goes... exterior nice looking..its bigger then the old one.. with long wheel base and short wheel base... think diff of onli a few cm..but 2k diff SWB..will not be coming in anymore..LWB will be the in thing roof flap available onli for the SWB... interior its bigger then the old one.. able to fit in a whole palette supposingly. dashboard is realli deep and nice.. with many compartments hidden and unknown storage here and there.. what i like is able to sit 3 in front.. so it feels like a big van though it is a small one left most seat able to lift up and down... down to accomodate long cargo at the rear.. up to accomodate flower pot(as told by SE) this being done by pulling the blue 'hooks' provided.. center seat able to push down.. to allow the driver to place documents ..or pens.. useful if on delivery where delivery notes can be placed nicely in this manner nice big aircon vents... feels spacy inside.. feels like sitting in a SUV... feels higher then my kangoo.. clutch is super light... yet to test drive..but so far me feel this is a considerable ride for those looking to own a van not sure if this is the same engine as the old berlingos or if parts are the same.. but if they are...i think one can be rest assured.. because of lately .. i am seeing more and more berlingos on the road though for this new model i have seen only 2... test drive did a test drive earlier on... put in the keys, turned them...and here we go stepped lightly on the clutch engaged the reverse gear.. nice and smooth... pick up on the straights..pretty decent.. sufficent to overtake ..and turbo kicks in slightly after 2k rpm braking is good... though SE was not sure if it was rear drums or rear discs.. though i was pretty sure that it was stated rear discs in the brochure comes with standard 1 airbags...ABS..EBD... running on 195/60/R15 if i am not wrong.. there is a premium edition for 3k more... with leather seats gps on radio(2 din HU) or sat nav in short fully carpeted rear interiors will post pics soon..and though this is a car forum.. i hope peeps here will not mind me sharing with u.. what may be my next ride
  16. STOMPer Michael caught sight of this Citroen in flames along the CTE this morning. He says: "I drove past this Citroen Berlingo on fire along CTE this morning around 9.30. "Did not see anyone injured. "Apparently, the driver had time to salvage his belongings (see the island). "I wonder how this could happen, when Citroens are supposed to build safe cars and vans." http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/singapor...nt.jsp?id=48549

  19. http://www.xxxxxxx.com/news/news.php?newsid=1760 New engines are co-developed with BMW, the 1.6 Turbo seems quite impressive. Hopefully it doesn't get paired with a stone-age transmission. C4 1.6 16V VTi 120hp (Variable valve lift and Timing Injection) The VTi 120hp petrol engine, with a manual or automatic gearbox, replaces the 1.6i 16V 110hp unit, offering an economical and responsive driving experience, with fuel efficiency of 42.2mpg and CO2 emissions of 159g/km on the combined cycle (down 6% on the former unit). The VTi unit is fitted with an aluminium block and cylinder head and features continuously variable valve timing. The intake valves also benefit from a system that allows their maximum travel to be adjusted gradually depending on the force applied to the accelerator pedal. These two features boost engine efficiency and increase responsiveness with some 90% of maximum torque available all the way through the rev range from under 2,000 through to 6,000rpm. C4 1.6i 16V THP 150hp (Turbo High Pressure The new THP 150hp (Turbo High Pressure) engine provides the perfect blend of higher performance, driving pleasure and economy with significantly lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. With its six-speed manual gearbox, the THP 150hp
