Hi, I had viewed a COEd Honda Civic and the spoiler seems to be a little exaggerating! (Certainly against LTA regulations for horizontal extrusion) Would like to find out from fellow Honda drivers, how much does a normal spoiler for Honda cost? Thanks! Ed

juz got myself a civic '03 vti...but ain't too happy with the looks of the rims....thinking of upgrading it to a 16".... any recommendations?? And what is the overall effect on the vehicle? Stamford tyres was recommending me to switch to 17" but I was told else where that this will greatly affect the aceleration and the ride will be bumpier...pls advise.

Hi all, Firstly, I like to comment that this is a really very informative and friendly forum. Secondly, I managed to find a stock condition EG9 VTI I am hoping to find fellow happy owners (I hope) to share the experience with this car, especially on modifications My list of things to do: 1. Service, change mounting - cabin seems to vibrate a little with changes in RPM ... 2. Respray - either Championship white or just black. Any good place to recommend ? My present colour is green. 3. Sound system. I just bought a second hand set. Waiting to install after respray. Any good installers to recommend ? 4. Performance - My friend told me to skip all those small stuff. Either go and look for a Integra Type R engine (B18B) or add NOS, or both Any reliable ppl to do it ? 5. If still got money, maybe change to white dials ... then I'm quite sure I'm quite broke after that ... I think that's all I plan for at the moment. Regards !

Just posting a warning in case, from the adverts in the papers and the misleading signs in the Kah motors showroom, anyone here is fooled into thinking that the Civic RS has actually come to Singapore. Basically, the RS is a different car altogether, it's the ES3 while the civics here are the ES1 (VTI-s) and ES8 (the others). It has rear disc brakes, the same 1.7 liter engine as the ES1, full bodykit, no sunroof, no side strips (door protectors), body-coloured strip on the bonnet, body coloured strip on the trunk above the number plate, donut headrests, black interior, and most importantly, the chassis code is ES3. I'm not sure about gearing ratios and clutch setup. Anything else is NOT a real Civic RS. Basically, the "RS" at Kah motors is some cosmetically done up thing, with some of the bodykits, RS floormats, RS leather trim (but is not black), 16 inch rims, and is applied to any of the VTI-s, VTi and EXi for something like $4k, which you can probably do a better price at some aftermarket place. I can't believe Kah actually tried to pass that off as an RS. What are they going to do next? Put DC5 bodykit on the Integra iS and pass it off as a Type-R? *shudder*

Hi guys Im actually deciding which to get. I'm leaning more towards the lancer because its cheaper and the depreciation is not as high as the SiR. Would really appreciate you guy's opinions in terms of performance, maintainance and financial aspects of both the SiR and the MR. Thanks dudes. Cheers.

Hi all Anyone knows wats the best way to mod this baby? Its such a shame its not a DOHC like the Sir or Vti of the yester-years...but im sure its still 'moddable' to increase its performance rite?

Was outside Devil's bar when i saw a porsche C4 speeding damn FAST. Then saw a Civic EG6 chasing it. The EG6 (I think drop until 1/2 gear) still cannot catch the C4. And end up @ takashimaya there. The EG6 banged into 2 cars infront! A girl was inside the EG6, i think end up with quite a number of cuts. I don't know felt sad for the guy or felt sad for the girl. Nowadays singaporeans balls getting bigger. EG6 also wanna chase C4. He think his EG6 is devil!

Hi, i went to the mechanic and was told my carburettor is more or less gone. The parts are hard to find. Wonder if anyone here got any lobang to scrap car yards or 2nd hand shops that i can find spares for my carburettor? Mine is a '83 4dr Honda Civic. Was told the carburettor casket(dun know if its spelt like that) could be leaking.
