  1. Yup try and even sit inside. The doors are so heavy like German cars when compared to even Toyota Harrier hybrid at the car@expo. Nowadays even Korean brand cars doors are heavier than Japanese brands. German, Korean and all those EV, they are already at digital instruments cluster and large infotainment display, ventilated seats etc yet when walk over to look at Toyota and Honda, I just sigh. They just cannot keep it up to date when today trends, still typical Japanese old school mindsets.
  2. Fellows

    Kia K5

I really like their 2024 KIA Sportage 1.6L hybrid, but it never come Singapore at all. My dad still got the old mindset in 2024 that Korean car like KIA and Hyundai more difficult to maintain and not much resell value when selling perhaps 6-7 years time later compare to Toyota as he drove Honda and Toyota throughout his life. I told him downgrade the car as he tiring soon no need to drive such a big car with high installment and road tax. So I recommend him KIA NIRO Hybrid SX or Hyundai Avante Hybrid but of course cannot compare with current PI 2.0NA Toyota Harrier SUV that we had now. He never even test drive these Korean brand before, die die don’t want these 2 Korean brand then say Conti expensive + high maintenance fee and he dislike Mazda. Not much choice left, I told him then you go test drive the 2024 1.6L facelift Toyota Corolla Altis which also around $150K as we looking for new car these few months as the new 2.5L Harrier Hybrid cost $235K, wth $235K for a Toyota is really sucks.
  3. the new harrier rear signal lights is at the bumper....1st time saw it, was like...wth!! totally awe....seems like someone forgot to design the signal light on the main lamp cluster and this is an after thot design process where they just install it at the bumper....
  4. u comparing harrier vs camry? or harrier vs Rav4? PI Rav4 hybrid seems like the more affordable option right now. Though of course it's bit long in the tooth liao. I think the camry has aged well aesthetically.
  5. Yes, but Rav4 is still one notch below the CRV so it has to be cheaper. probably Harrier would be a better comparison.
  6. doesn't look anything like abrupt lane change....so slow...almost as if the harrier is aiming for the kerb...😅
  7. Always wondered, how much can the Harrier claim against the motorcycle in cases like this? Can/will the bike's insurance cover the full damage to the Harrier?
  8. Harrier comes from Japan. It uses Li-ion. Camry comes from Thailand. It use Ni-cd. It could tie to production site.
  9. harrier has a subsized boot for what is supposed to be a mid sized SUV.
  10. @Verceroygo & get the Harrier.
  11. This price look quite attractive for 8 days. Budget rental book under ToCoo. But I still prefer to look for SUV like Forester, RAV 4 or Harrier. RAV 4 or Harrier for 8 days from Toyota Rental will cost around 170k Yen before add on. 😰
  12. The toyota harrier driver could have just headed-in into that parallel parking lot along the left, so much space.
  13. Back then in 2016, $150K can buy Toyota Harrier Premium 2.0NA JDM from PI, sadly now only buy a lame 1.6 Thai made Altis. Times has change so much after Covid.
  14. Haven’t seen any new Toyota Crown Sport aka the SUV variant on our road yet locally via PI, wonder if BM bring in this Crown SUV and remove the current Harrier that was here since 2021, considered an old model already. Not sure will Harrier get a facelift this year though.
  15. TL;DR - This female Harrier driver double parked her car to go shopping at Clementi’s Sheng Siong supermarket, got unhappy when being called out. If you didn't already know, the popular term ‘Karen’ is used to describe an entitled and obnoxious middle-aged woman. This lady definitely hopped into the Year of the Rabbit as one. Watch this 41-second clip to see what I mean. What happened? This driver decided to park beside a row of vehicles already parked parallel to the curb, to go CNY shopping at Sheng Siong, blocking other cars from exiting the car park. When confronted, she was unapologetic and even said “I park here all the time, I can do whatever I want. You are not the police.” She then continued on with “It's Chinese New Year!” Not too sure what the link is but ok… Online Chatter I guess in her terms, Chinese New Year is the season to get a free pass of double parking… ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 16. Any recommendation for car rental from Sapporo Station? I check Toyota Rental and price seems more expensive. I am looking at a SUV like RAV 4 or Harrier but the price from Toyota Rental is ex. Almost S$150 per before all the add on. My last trip to Hokkaido in Dec 2018 I rent from Nippon Car rental, but now their choice of car like very limited. Last time they have a lot of Subaru option and Forester or Outback. This 2 are my prefer choice but this time round can't find.

    Harrier 2017

i went to test drive on sat, sharing my views below Likes - exterior design - size of car, notable presence on the road - sound proofing - boot size is huge - space for rear seat passengers is huge - front sequential turn signals looks cool; would really loveit if they used sequential for back and side signals as well - sunroof Dislikes - touchscreen on dashboard is pathetically small. those in japan seem much bigger ( )- from the boot, there is no lever/button for making the rear seats lie flat - no safety options: blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic monitoring, tyre deflation monitoring - they removed the panoramic view monitor, which i think is available in the japanese brochures - lag before turbo engine kicks in Some excellent reviews here from Richard too: http://www.mycarforum.com/topic/2705478-harrier-2017/page-7?do=findComment&comment=6159941
  18. The current Toyota Harrier may still be fairly new to the Malaysian market (unless you count the myriad of grey imports that existed before UMW Toyota Motor’s offering), but the truth is third-generation SUV has been around since 2013 and in need of a replacement. Well, it looks like the forth-gen model is coming soon, and a promotional video has just surfaced on social media. It shows a car that draws much of its profile a fair bit of inspiration from the outgoing model, but with a couple of touches of its own. The characteristic blanked-off upper grille and slim headlights remain, but the latter now sport new LED daytime running lights with dual branches, much like the latest Avalon sedan. The lower grille is also much larger, reaching towards the upper grille and only separated by a full-width chrome strip. Along the side, the shoulder line sweeps upwards between the strong front and rear haunches, while the D-pillars have been made slightly narrower. But it’s the rear that’s the biggest departure – the full-width tail lights have been reduced to slits which, together with what appears to be a reverse-rake tail, gives the car more than a hint of the Jaguar F-Pace0 about it. According to Japanese automotive portal Best Car, the new Harrier, set to make its debut on June 17, will ride on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) that underpins most of Toyota’s latest models – specifically the K variant (GA-K) that the Camry, RAV4 and aforementioned Avalon are also based on. It will reportedly be significantly larger than before, in part to accommodate an optional third row of seats. New features include an electrochromic sunroof that can be dimmed (eliminating the need for blinds) as well as a dash cam integrated in the rear-view mirror. As for powertrains, expect the Harrier to come with an M20A 2.0 litre direct-injected Dynamic Force engine that makes 172 PS and 203 Nm of torque in the RAV4. There will also likely be a hybrid model that pairs a 2.5 litre version of that engine to a pair of electric motors, delivering a total of 211 PS in the Camry Hybrid. The 8AR-FTS 2.0 litre turbo mill, introduced in the facelifted third-get model (which we get), will apparently be dropped. source: https://paultan.org/2020/04/07/2021-toyota-harrier-fourth-generation-model-leaked/
  19. i not sure if the coil is out at this stage for this benz. if the coil is already out, then this is consider easy. wait till u see some korean cars or toyota like harrier etc, strip totally empty
  20. 😅 Toyota Harrier trying to drive away with a wheel clamp.mp4
  21. Planning to get a new car. Any thoughts on harrier 2.5 premium?
  22. TL;DR – We see seven vehicles involved In yet another massive chain collision on the PIE. Footage of the aftermath shows a Harrier resting on top of a Prius. The first half of the day saw many news reports and posts about this accident that happened along lane 1 of the PIE. Channel News Asia The Straits Times Tik Tok You can watch the vido of the aftermath on Tik Tok. Facebook Or you can watch it on Facebook (courtesy of Roads.SG) 7 Vehicles involved Besides the obvious Toyota Harrier sitting on top of the Toyota Prius, we also spot 2 Honda Vezels, a Strides Taxi, a blueSG car and what seems to be an Audi A3. How the Harrier ended on top of the Prius is definitely a huge question mark for everyone. Hopefully, someone will post the footage of the actual accident soon and I’ll update the article. Injuries and arrests It’s reported that five people were injured, two of which were sent to the hospital while the other three declined to go to the hospital. Additionally, a 38-year-old man was arrested for suspected drink driving (Source: The Straits Times) Online Chatter I think you drive anywhere also there’s always a chance of an accident occurring. Always keep a safe distance from the car in front of you and look out for idiot drivers. This person might have a point somewhere. I would like to know as well. blueSG, care to comment? I try to steer clear away from blueSG cars when I see them on the road. Not all of them, but most of them drive like they don’t want to see tomorrow. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 23. can ah, just that feel very sian to drive a modded car in traffic, like holding the car back. Nowadays the traffic is rubbish HAHA Toyota can be a bit bland, but the Harrier is fine la, just abit underpowered and the CVT dulls acceleration. Car is still smooth and quiet, no leaks, no issues, just drive only, didn't even bother to change the oil HAHAHAHA
  24. Then it is money talking here... 😄 The harrier is just the decision that makes the most financial sense.
