  1. 10 Generations Of Honda Accord Show The Family Sedan's Evolution source: https://www.motor1.com/news/446925/honda-accord-evolution/ It all started back in 1976. About two years ago, a nifty set of renderings refreshed our memory about the Honda Civic’s timeline by revisiting all ten generations to show the remarkable evolution of the compact car. Fast forward to 2020, the same folks at Budget Direct Car Insurance have sent us a new batch depicting the Civic’s bigger brother – the Accord. First Generation (1976-1981) Much like the Civic, the larger Accord has also spawned a total of ten generations, with the original launched back in 1976. It initially came out as a three-door hatchback before the four-door sedan was introduced in 1979. Power came from a 1.6-liter with a respectable 68-hp output sent to the wheels via a five-speed manual. The sedan arrived with a beefier 1.8-liter and was also equipped with power steering. Second Generation (1981-1985) The first Japanese car assembled in the United States, the second-generation Accord was larger than its predecessor and had a substantially different look with boxy styling. It gained an optional four-speed automatic gearbox in 1983 and got its engine bumped in displacement from 1751cc to 1830cc to unlock 86 hp. More oomph was added in 1985 with the arrival of the Accord SEi and its fuel-injected engine pumping out 101 hp. Third Generation (1985-1989) Once again, the Accord received an increased footprint for its third iteration, which came along with a third body style in the form of a sleek coupe. It was mechanically superior to its predecessor, featuring a Honda-first double-wishbone suspension at both axles as well as a more aerodynamically friendly body. Honda increased the engine’s size furthermore, to a 2.0-liter unit with 98 hp on tap when carbureted or an optional 110 hp with fuel injection. Oh, did we mention it had pop-out headlights? Fourth Generation (1989-1993) With the risk of sounding like a broken record, the fourth-gen Accord was enlarged once more, fully qualifying for the midsize sedan status. Honda boosted the car’s practicality with the addition of a wagon that replaced the hatchback. A newly developed 2.2-liter engine was rated at a healthy 130 hp for the flagship EX model. There was even a sport mode for the four-speed automatic transmission, allowing the driver to choose gears manually. Sadly, it lost the nifty pop-out headlights. Fifth Generation (1993-1997) The fifth-gen Accord saw the addition of VTEC for the 2.2-liter engine and the sedan’s first V6, a 2.7-liter unit making 170 hp and 165 lb-ft (224 Nm). The versions equipped with the bigger engine had some design tweaks at the front to distinguish them from the four-pot models. Honda stretched the wheelbase for extra rear legroom and proposed a sportier design. Sixth Generation (1998-2002) No more wagon body style with the sixth-gen model, with only the coupe and sedan surviving. The two-door model was developed in North America and had a slightly shorter wheelbase than its four-door counterpart. Front airbags came as standard, with side airbags available at an additional cost. The base engine was a 2.3-liter with 135 hp, while an optional 3.0-liter V6 had 200 hp. Seventh Generation (2002-2008) For its seventh iteration, the Accord got more powerful engines across the range. Even the base four-cylinder unit now made 160 hp, while the 3.0-liter VTEC V6 pumped out 240 hp. Both got a little bit more power later in the life cycle when an electrified V6 was added with a combined output of 253 hp. The coupe allowed customers to order the V6 engine with a manual gearbox for the first time. Eighth Generation (2008-2012) Creating a greater visual differentiation between the sedan and coupe, Honda increased the Accord’s size yet again for the eighth generation. The V6 engine – now making 268 hp – was once again offered with a three-pedal setup. It was bumped to the fullsize car class by EPA, and spawned a hunchbacked Crosstour fastback for the 2010 model year for added practicality. The oddly shaped version was two inches wider than the sedan and added about 300 pounds (136 kilograms) of weight. Ninth Generation (2013-2017) Not necessarily a fully fledged next-generation car, the Accord Mk9 was more of a thorough refresh of its predecessor. The sedan gained a Sport variant with a standard six-speed manual and a little bit more power than the regular four-cylinder models, along with dual exhaust tips as well as bespoke wheels. Honda went back and forth with the hybrid version, which managed to get an EPA rating of 48 mpg thanks to its electrified four-cylinder engine. Tenth Generation (2017-Present) As for the current-generation Accord, the coupe has gone the way of the dodo together with the V6. The base 1.5-liter turbo engine is good for 192 hp while the larger 2.0-liter unit develops 252 hp, with a hybrid version also available with 212 hp. The electrified model does 48 mpg in the combined cycle. Even though it’s larger than the model it replaced, the tenth-generation model has shaved off 110 to 176 pounds (50 to 80 kilograms) depending on trim by making greater use of aluminum and ultra-high-strength steel.
  2. The next-gen hot hatch will still stand out in a crowd. The last couple of days have been busy in the Civic Type R world. Honda shared some "spy" photos, and then we caught video of the car in action sporting a single janky exhaust pipe. Not to fear, hot Honda fans – that pipe was just for testing purposes. A new round of decidedly unofficial Type R spy shots feature another red-wrapped prototype with all its production components, including the triple exhaust finishers out the back. Whereas Honda offered up just a pair of photos, our spy photographer grabbed 14 as the prototype went by. We already know the next Type R won't be as flamboyant as the outgoing model, but these shots offer a bit more context as to just what that entails. The front fascia features a large lower intake flanked by a pair of side intakes that look clean and aggressive without being shouty. The theme continues along the sides where we see rocker trim with a winglet in front of the rear wheel, similar to the current model. The biggest difference comes at the rear. Yes, that spoiler is large and in-charge, but barring clever panels hiding vents under the camo wrap (which actually is a menagerie of Rs when you look close), we'll have a modest pair of side vents flanking the center-exit exhaust. It's a far cry from the current Type R with its large corner vents and a plethora of contrasting angles. As for what's under the skin, expect to see a tweaked version of the current 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, turning just the front wheels with a six-speed manual. A slight bump in power is virtually guaranteed, but with front-wheel drive enduring as the order of the day, don't expect much more than the current Type R's 306 hp (228 kilowatts). The wrap should come off sometime next year as a 2023 model. More photos for your imagination.
  3. Some people don't deserve to drive. Watch the video below and see whether you agree with our harsh comment or not. Posted by My Grandfather's Road, another traffic-shaming facebook page, is this video of a Honda City that almost came to a complete stop while on the first lane of the ECP. It is unclear how long ago this accident happened as the in-car camera video dates the incident on the 27th of Dec 2019 but the post was published today, 22nd of July 2020. We have no idea why the Honda driver attempted to slow down. Could it be that he or she realised that there is an exit and wanted to turn off at the last minute?
  4. This Honda road bully blocks the path of a large bus, randomly stops in the middle of the road several times and ends up getting rear-ended. There is nothing more annoying than a road hogger on a busy road, and that is what this poor bus driver had to experience. The video starts with the Honda driving slowly down the left lane, blocking the path of the bus driver. Annoyed with the car's behaviour, a man beside the driver is heard commenting "Just don't jam brakes. If not, I fall down leh.". As both vehicles approach the traffic junction, the car suddenly stops with its hazard lights on. In an attempt to warn the car's driver, the bus driver presses his horn. However, the car remains still, which earns it a series of honks from other upset drivers as well. The bus driver chimes in with two long honks, which pushes the car to finally move off. The Honda enters the junction, swerves right, before switching back to the left lane quickly. At the same moment, the car is seen braking suddenly as the bus moves forward. This leads to the bus hitting the yellow car from the back with a loud crash, which pushes it further up the lane. At the last second, the car's driver angrily gets out of his vehicle to confront the bus driver. Is road hogging an offence? According to the LTA and the Traffic Police, road hogging is considered an offence in Singapore. Drivers who drive in such a manner as to obstruct vehicles from moving at a faster speed will receive a fine of up to $1,000, an imprisonment term of 3 months and 4 demerit points. For repeated offenders, they will receive a fine of up to $2,000, an imprisonment term of 6 months and 4 demerit points. Netizens' reactions From the video, it is clear that the yellow car is the aggressor as the driver purposely stalls the flow of traffic and recklessly changes lanes (and jams on his brakes) without any warning. 😒 I hope that the TP sees this and invites him for a nice long kopi session soon. --- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. 5. What do you do when you are rushing for time (for whatever reason), and the odds are stacked against you? Watch how this Honda Shuttle "skips" a red light by taking a shortcut: What happened? This incident took place along Corporation Road, at the junction of Yung Sheng Road. In the dashcam footage, a red Honda Shuttle is seen driving aggressively behind the cam car. Moments later, as the Honda Shuttle approaches the red traffic light, he slows down abruptly. And just when you think he is about to come to a complete stop... He decides to swerve to the nearby filter lane, perform an illegal U-Turn, and go to another filter lane to "skip" that red light (Intelligence +10). Thinking out of the box Undoubtedly, this driver possesses quick thinking and decisive skills, which are used for the wrong reasons. Like the one featured in the video, such manoeuvres should not be performed as they are purely reckless and hazardous to other road users. Exploiting a loophole? According to Chapter 276, Section 112 Part IV No. 54 of the Road Traffic Act, crossing a single continuous white line is allowed only when the road ahead is clear. Don't be mistaken, this is no loophole. What the driver doesn't realise is the fact that he did not obey traffic directions as indicated. Although it is uncertain how many offences he committed, I am pretty sure he has committed at least 1 offence from the "skip traffic light" Jutsu. Netizens' comments Yup, from the looks of it I am sure this is not his first time. Someone forgot about the 9th SAF core value - "Don't get caught" Judging by the way he drives, the sai sure at custom already. Well, what do you think of his actions? And what offence do you think he committed? --- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. 6. https://www.autoevolution.com/news/modern-honda-integra-type-r-rendering-joins-n-a-engine-with-manual-transmission-166793.html?fbclid=IwAR07jJkxfEycqWRW84-x3mAScratQnf-Udp5LeDjhzhgR0TONDIIOUpOFwQ# Sold by Acura in the United States, the Integra Type R is considered a driver’s car. Some people describe the DC2 as the best-handling FWD car ever produced, and I can certainly understand their lyrical waxing. Offered with rectangular headlights in Japan and with round headlights outside of the Land of the Rising Sun, the Integra Type R left a lasting impression on a generation of enthusiasts from all over the world. One detail that Honda got perfectly right is the B18C5, a legendary powerplant that revs beyond 8,000 revolutions per minute, even 8,700 for the British spec. The ultra-collectible Type R is rocking a close-ratio manual transmission with five gears rather than six, a helical-type LSD, a strengthened chassis that reduces body roll in the corners, reduced sound insulation, lighter wheels, and a thinner windshield than the Si, GS-R, and SiR-G variants. Capable of anything between 187 to 197 horsepower depending on the market, the DC2 is universally known for punching well above its weight. Offered in four exterior colors over a black interior, the Integra Type R numbers only 3,823 units in the United States of America. To understand just how desirable this fellow is nowadays, let’s just say that a 1997 model has recently sold at auction for $65,000 at no reserve. By comparison, the original window sticker read $24,000 ($40,630 after adjusting for inflation). A huge fan of the Integra Type R, industrial designer Jordan Rubinstein-Towler has taken upon himself to imagine the DC2 for the 2022 model year. The bite-the-back-of-your-hand beautiful rendering is complemented by a 2.4-liter Earth Dreams i-VTEC powerplant, and in the pixel wizard’s vision, the four-pot motor develops 276 horsepower at 8,600 rotations per minute. Pictured on Enkei forged wheels and Bridgestone Potenza semi-slick rubber, the design study is reassuringly minimalistic on the inside. There’s no centrally-mounted touchscreen to distract you from the driving experience, and instead of a fast-shifting DCT, the center console is where you’ll find a close-ratio manual with a billet-looking shifter and six ratios. Don’t get your hopes up for a brand-new Integra Type R, though. Honda is currently working on a compact sedan the size of the ILX, and a Type S performance-oriented variant is coming as well according to a dealership meeting from 2020. Be that as it may, the all-new Civic Type R is more than enough for Honda because go-faster compacts don’t sell well these days.
  7. After killing off the Clarity EV last year, Honda is ending production of its hydrogen fuel-cell and plug-in hybrid Clarity models this summer, Autoblog has reported. The decision reportedly came due to weak demand and Honda's new focus on electrification, according to Nikkei. The Clarity fuel-cell vehicle was handicapped in the US from the get-go with a high $71,200 price tag and a lack of hydrogen refueling infrastructure in the US. With the end of the Clarity EV, PHEV and fuel-cell models, Honda is currently building no electrified models at all in the US. However, the company said that it will build enough Clarity fuel-cell models for lessees into 2022 and will provide support for the foreseeable future. Honda previously announced that it would release an electric car for 2024 and plans to only sell zero-emissions EVs by 2040. Those could include EVs, but Honda hasn't given up yet on hydrogen either, having struck a deal with GM to develop fuel cell vehicles. However, most hydrogen in the US is made by reforming natural gas, so the fuel still releases greenhouses gases even though only water comes out a fuel-cell vehicle's tailpipe.
  8. The driver of a purple Lamborghini Gallardo purportedly shamed a Honda Civic driver for his/her social status and his/her parking skills. A purple Lamborghini Gallardo can be seen parked outside the demarcation of a parking lot. Despite her poor parking, Lambo lady took to her Instagram story to shame the Honda Civic driver. Lambo lady cited that jealousy was the Honda Civic driver’s reason for parking extremely close to her Lambo. Puzzled by her logic? ME TOO. Thereafter, she allegedly threatens the unknown Honda Civic driver by indicating her intention of “creating trouble for him/her”. The Plot Twist Now comes the interesting part...the plot twist. Despite Lambo lady’s success and wealth, she apparently did not pay for her road tax since 27th June 2021. Furthermore, netizens have apparently found her personal information, including her name, social media accounts, occupation and the company she works at. With all this information made public, things certainly do not look good for the Lambo lady. Under the Road Traffic Act, offenders that keep or use a vehicle without a valid road tax will face a maximum fine of $2,000. Netizens' comments Highly doubt 1 tub of aloe vera is sufficient for the amount of burn Lambo lady receives. Tired of reading burn comments on the Lambo lady? Here are some burn comments on her Lamborghini Gallardo. If there is anything to learn from this, it is “money can’t solve every problem” especially if you (LAMBO LADY) ARE THE PROBLEM. --- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. 9. The Rock Realizes He Can't Fit In A Porsche Taycan While On Movie Set source: https://www.motor1.com/news/454579/the-rock-cant-fit-taycan/ It’s safe to say Red Notice is a huge deal for Netflix considering it’s one of the streaming platform’s most expensive movies ever. Originally under development with Universal for a 2020 launch, the action-packed movie has a budget of nearly $188 million and will be out in 2021. It’s the first Netflix movie starring Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot, while Ryan Reynolds will be making his second appearance after starring in 6 Underground. Filming for Red Notice hasn’t exactly been smooth sailing taking into account the coronavirus pandemic put the brakes on production earlier this year. Work on the movie resumed in September, but it wasn’t without hurdles as “The Rock” took to Instagram to reveal a funny yet costly problem he had. Long story short – he couldn’t fit inside a Porsche Taycan that was brought on set to shoot a scene. The “big chase sequence” as described by the former professional wrestler took months to prepare and high production costs, which included buying a Porsche Taycan and shipping it to the film location. When the time came to shoot the scene, writer and producer Rawson Marshall Thurber (the man seen here lying on the ground in front of the car) told The Rock to hop inside the EV, only to realize his back “is a bit too wide.” The unexpected issue didn’t stop the producer and the rest of the film crew from figuring out a good angle to take the needed shot: “In the end we showed our agility to think quickly on our feet and found ‘creative’ ways to still get the shot. “ Actually, this isn’t the first time Dwayne Johnson has a problem fitting in a car, which isn’t all that surprising considering he’s 6 feet 5 inches (196 centimeters) tall. About five years ago, he complained about having an identical problem with a LaFerrari.
  10. Posted 3 days ago (June 13) on Facebook, a hilarious video showed a man telling his friend about the self-driving feature in his Honda, with a surprise at the end. The video starts with the man’s friend exclaiming over the fact that the car was moving and steering when the man did not have both of his hands on the steering wheel. Holding a fried snack in both of his hands, the man then educated his friend on the new ‘auto-driving’ features in his Honda. Throughout the video, the car was seen turning at junctions and even made a U-turn at one point while both men talked about the car's features. The video promptly ends with the friend turning the camera to reveal the hilarious truth: The ‘self-driving’ Honda was hooked up to a tow truck. While it’s not common to see autonomous vehicles in Singapore just yet, they might be a reality soon with news of the government testing several driverless vehicles in small areas of the country. So even if this video was posted as a joke, we may be able to see and own a self-driving Honda soon enough!
  11. Honda updates its cute 'n' cuddly kei hatchback, and makes it stick-shift Every single kei car is cute, but some are lucky enough to hit every branch of the cute tree on their plummet to the streets of Tokyo. Kei cars like the Honda N One. This is it in mildly updated form, but Honda has sensibly left its adorable face pretty much alone. It’s all typical facelift fare: newly LED head and tail lights, minor tweaks for the grille and bumpers, and… nowt else. We want to cuddle it just as much as we did before. The biggest news sits betwixt driver and passenger. Go for the top-spec N One RS and you’ll have the option of a six-speed manual gearbox to replace the standard CVT auto. Being a car that slots into tight kei regulations – governing exterior dimensions not much larger than a roller skate, and engines to 660cc and 63bhp maximums – it’s not going to behave like a shrunken Civic Type R. But if Honda’s dinky kei roadster – the similarly cuddly S660 – is anything to go by, it’ll be a delightful and engaging manual. Inside a truly delightful little vehicle…
  12. So today we have our weirdest accident where the Honda Shuttle (David) decides to lane change into the path of a UD truck (Goliath) that weighs 20 tons. 🙄 Here's the recap. Both vehicles try to change lane at the same time. I assume that both drivers are aware of the other's presence and both must have the "same thinking". Honda Shuttle: Aiyah, I can pick up faster than the truck one. UD Truck: I am bigger and I am at the right of way. After the accident occurred, the honda owner came out of his car probably to confront the truck driver. My personal take is this. p.s. This is my personal opinion, so take it with a pinch of salt. I find that the fault lies on the Honda Shuttle driver, as he wants to avoid the left turn lane and he does not want to wait for traffic to clear before move off. The truck clearly signals his intention of filtering left since the start of the video. Just stop and let the truck driver go lah! So difficult meh? Here's the full video. So ladies and gentleman, please drive with extra prudence especially during this period, if possible stay home and stay safe. Anyway sidetrack a bit, there is a nice ban mian at ARC380 (where the accident takes place) very nice one. You guys can check it out. 😂 NOT A SPONSORED POST. 13. Hi all. Need some opinion here. Rims are 18 x 8.5 for front and 18 x 9.5 for rear. Which would you choose? Option 1 225/40/18 255/35/18 Option 2 235/40/18 255/35/18 Option 3 245/35/18 255/35/18
  14. The video footage is from a cam car, which was also involved in the chain collision. This accident happened on the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) towards Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) before Exit 12, causing a massive jam. In the video, a white Audi A3 Cabriolet performed an emergency brake just before the cam car slams into its rear. Moments after that, an over-turned Honda Jazz slid along lane 2 of the expressway. What exactly happened? A top-down view of the accident revealed that four vehicles were involved in the chain collision. It turns out that the Audi A3 Cabriolet performed an emergency brake because of the car in front of it. However, it remains unclear why the front car braked so abruptly, causing this accident. There are speculations that the Honda Jazz swerved out of the lane to avoid this chain collision. As a result, it turned turtle from the sudden shift in weight balance. A 7-month-old girl and two men were conveyed to the hospital after this chain collision. Netizens' comments As always, please drive safely and practice defensive driving at all times. We hope that all those involved in the accident are well and wishing them a speedy recovery. --- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. 16. A discretionary right turn goes wrong and ends up in a collision at Yishun Avenue 2. The incident occurred yesterday (June 22) when a white Honda Civic attempted to perform a discretionary right turn at a junction and collided with a black Hyundai Tucson. The video also showed another van swerving around the Honda Civic after the crash to avoid hitting it again. A pedestrian was also seen lying on the ground at the end of the video. However, it was not specified if the black Hyundai Tucson had hit the pedestrian. A discretionary right turn refers to a junction allowing for motorists to make a right turn as long as there is a suitable gap in oncoming traffic. The driver is allowed to decide when to turn right when he or she feels that it is safe to do so without the need for a green arrow. This is not the first time that a vehicle performing a discretionary right turn ends up in a serious traffic accident. In 2018, two high-profile traffic incidents involving vehicles attempting to perform discretionary right turns resulted in the deaths of two people. According to Channel News Asia, the Land Transport Authority announced plans to phase out discretionary right turns in Singapore following the two fatal accidents. By 2023, more than 1,200 junctions will have red-amber-green turning arrows. While the importance of discretionary right turns has been a popular debate topic, it goes without saying that drivers should take extra precaution when performing such manoeuvers. --- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. 19. Subaru EyeSight vs Honda Sensing Sources: https://blog.carsforsale.com/subaru-eyesight-vs-honda-sensing-tech-tip-tuesday/ You can’t buy an autonomous car yet, but automotive safety technologies like Subaru EyeSight and Honda Sensing foreshadow a future of self-driving cars. This article will compare Subaru EyeSight and Honda Sensing, two similar crash avoidance technologies that are revolutionizing automotive safety. Primary FeaturesSubaru Eyesight is in its second generation since it was first introduced at the 2012 New York Auto Show. All 2015 Subaru cars with EyeSight earned superior frontal crash test ratings by the IIHS. This driver assist technology is now optional in the following 2015 Subaru models: XV Crosstrek, Legacy, Forester, Impreza and Outback. Here is a look at the primary features Subaru EyeSight offers. Adaptive Cruise ControlOf the features Subaru EyeSight uses, adaptive cruise control is the show stopper that reflects a future of self-driving cars. Other car makers have attempted this technology with minimal success, but Subaru nails it. Do you hate constantly setting and resetting cruise control because of surrounding traffic? EyeSight is similar to conventional cruise control features, but it will automatically adjust the speed if you come behind a slower vehicle. If the slower vehicle leaves your lane, the car will return to its original speed. Even in stop and go traffic, EyeSight will automatically follow a car in front of you at one of three distance settings. If the car in front of you stops, EyeSight will come to a smooth stop as well. Simply press a button when the car in front proceeds and the Subaru will return to the original cruise control speed when possible. Blind Spot DetectionNew to the second generation of Subaru EyeSight, blind spot detection senses cars coming into a vehicles blind spot. If a vehicle is in your blind spot and you engage your blinker, Subaru EyeSight will display a flashing light on a side view mirror until the car leaves the blind spot. Pre-Collision BrakingIt happens to even the best drivers. You’re calmly cruising in your car and before you know it you’re only a few feet from the vehicle ahead of you. Pre-collision braking will detect when you are getting too close to a vehicle. The car first produces an audible beeping, followed by automatic braking. Imagine you’re driving toward a stopped vehicle that you are completely unaware of. Even if you have your foot on the gas the entire time, the car will automatically brake for you to either avoid or lessen the severity of the collision. If you are applying the brake too lightly, the system will apply stronger brake automatically to help you avoid the collision. Pre-Collision Throttle Management Suppose a driver in front of you at a stop sign begins to accelerate. You begin to accelerate in anticipation, but the lead car slams the brakes. The system will see the danger, provide an audible beeping and decrease the throttle to give the driver more time to react. This is also beneficial in parked situations. Have you ever put the car in gear, cranked your head 180° to back up your car and been shocked when you slam the obstacle in front of your car? Pre-collision throttle management helps you avoid these costly mishaps. Lane Departure and Sway WarningWe all do our best to avoid momentary distractions while driving, but even the attention of the best drivers will occasionally slip. EyeSight will use the lines of the road to detect your car’s position. EyeSight will give you an audible warning if the car begins to drift into another lane without blinking. The alert will help the driver correct the car’s course quickly. If the vehicle drifts back and forth in the lane, EyeSight will trigger an audible lane sway warning to alert the distracted or drowsy driver. This warning does not steer the car, but will afford the driver extra time to avoid costly and dangerous accidents. Lane Keep AssistNew in 2016, Subaru offers Lane Keep Assist, a system that will automatically steer and correct a vehicle drifting from its lane. This has the potential to dramatically reduce accidents caused by drowsiness or distractions. When your turn signal is activated, Lane Keep Assist will NOT correct the vehicle, allowing you to freely transition between lanes. Primary FeaturesThe Honda Sensing is an avoidance safety technology that has only recently been introduced to U.S. automobiles. The umbrella term, Honda Sensing, covers a suite of six safety features to be included on select Honda vehicles like the 2015 CR-V Touring. The 2015 CR-V received a superior front crash prevention rating from the IIHS. Let’s take a look at some of what Honda Sensing brings to the table. Collision Mitigation Braking System™Thanks to a small camera stored behind the front Honda logo, drivers with Honda Sensing in their vehicles will have braking assistance to avoid frontal crashes. Honda Sensing will detect objects in front of the vehicle and attempt to slow the vehicle and give the driver an audible and visual warning. Unlike Subaru EyeSight, the Honda Sensing will not bring the vehicle to a complete stop. It is only designed to reduce impact or give the driver extra time to manually stop the vehicle. Lane Keeping Assist System Should the driver accidentally leave his or her lane, the Honda will not only give an audible and visual warning, it will assist steering and bring the vehicle back into the center of the lane. Although not recommended, with Lane Keeping Assist activated you could hypothetically let go of the steering wheel and stay on the road. (Insert Carrie Underwood joke) Adaptive Cruise ControlHonda makes setting cruise control a little less annoying in traffic by automatically adjusting your vehicle’s speed based on the speed of traffic. Honda Sensing’s adaptive cruise control feature is unable to completely stop the vehicle, but it boasts four following distance settings, one more than the Subaru EyeSight. Honda LaneWatch™ Image courtesy of ExtremeTech.com Make confident and safe passenger-side lane changes with Honda LaneWatch. This feature is essentially an attractive, tech-savvy version of old blind spot mirrors. When the driver activates the right turn signal, a view of the passenger-side lane will appear on the display screen in the Honda. This camera view displays nearly four times what you can see using the mirror alone. Although this tool is not intended to be a replacement for checking your blind spot, it is certainly comforting to clearly see the entire area your vehicle is about to fill. Comparison Subaru EyeSight has been turning heads in the U.S. for much longer than the Honda Sensing. The ability of Subaru EyeSight cars to come to a complete stop with adaptive cruise control and to avoid a collision is incredibly impressive, setting Subaru above its competition. Despite this, Honda LaneWatch is a progressive, practical tool that EyeSight can’t compete with yet. We eagerly anticipate more ground-breaking safety advancements from both companies over the next decade. Crash avoidance systems and other automotive safety technologies are preventing accidents, and ultimately saving lives. Subaru EyeSight is easy to find, as it’s optional in the 2015 XV Crosstrek, Legacy, Forester, Impreza and Outback. Honda Sensing isn’t as prevalent, but it’s popularity and availability are increasing in new Honda vehicles.
  20. I purchased a Honda Civic sedan 2018. Any recommendation for accessories to make it look cooler (LED headlight bulbs, cup holder, body kits, etc.), and also websites or places to buy them are welcome.
  21. Hi all, a very noob question. My coolant reservoir is running low and I'm not sure which Honda coolant am I using. Can I just add the antifreeze type 2 into the reservoir? If previously my ws is using type 1, can I mix type 1 with type 2? Thank in advance.
  22. When coming to a car comparison, one of the most important aspect that we will mention is drivability. And today we have two goondus testings out the drivability at CTE on 1st of March. As you can see, the Honda Vezel make the first move at the start of the video cutting from the third lane to the second lane making the Suzuki Jimny braking hard. And with the ALLGRIP 4Wheel drive technology from Suzuki, it easily helps the Suzuki Jimny conquer the Honda Vezel back. As he is again on pole position. While not admitting defeat, the Honda Vezel instantaneously retaliate by activating its i-VTEC that unleash all 130bhp from the engine. Overtaking the poor ComfortDelGro cab and scaring the Suzuki Jimny with a Dom's stare. These two goondus had made the CTE their battleground lasting for more than 1min 30sec. Which fortunately there is no accident involved during this time. Watch the full video here. I am assuming that these goondus have continued the dogfight even after they exited the expressway. For our readers out there, let bygones be bygones. Hatred breed hatred. So when there is a car cutting your lane, just be gracious about it. Let's keep our road safe and our car free from an accident! BTW, listen to the video with volume on, the dramatic background sound makes the video even funnier. 🤣
