  1. Saw this on Sunday evening along Boundary Road. A volvo S40 was following a new Lexus GS300 who was speeding away. The GS300 driver was driver (1st car) at a traffic light on extreme right and the volvo was behind. When the light turned green, the GS300 floored the accelerator. But after 50metres, see the volvo overtake the GS300 on the left and sped off. The S40 that fast meh? Thought the GS300 can do 0-100 in 7.5s, somemore V6 engine. Don't know if the volvo is T5 cos too fast liao.

    Lexus LS

Either the LS430 (4.3litre V8 8-speed auto) or the LS460 (4.6litre V8 6-speed auto) Heard the car comes with a harddisk audio system too. That's cool. Wonder whether the ones coming here would have that as standard. A hug car though. A viable alternative to the S-Class? Toyota seems to be pushing all the right buttons, especially with the IS250.
  3. PI Lexus ES300 (current model look) Dark Maroon colour and superbly maintained. Special edition (with sunroof, GPS system/touch screen audio system) Low mileage and accident free. Reg date: 11/06/2002 Looking to RENT at S$1600 per month. Please sms 98262625 (owner).

  5. Set to debut in the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show.
  6. Hi , not buying any of these...too ex. Out of curiosity , how to differentiate betw the Lexus RX300 and the Harrier ah?
  7. Hi everyone, Just discovered this board. Great read! I am considering the Lexus ES300 and wonder if anyone has got any personal experience with the car. The new price of S$162K is quite good but I noticed that the car really depreciates a lot. For a 1+ year old car, the asking is between $120-$130K. That is a lot of money lost in a year, man! Because of the much lower cost of a 2nd hand car, I am thinking of getting it 2nd hand instead of new. Why does the price seem to drop so much more compared to other cars? I have heard some comments regarding problems with the car and also relatively high maintenance cost. Can anyone comment. Thanks.
  8. Hey notice no one reviews or comments on this car ?? any idea why ? the 2006 IS 250 is coming ....
  9. Hey .. I'm not really good at this .. But I drive an IS200. Problem is the system is built in, one piece. So cannot change the unit. I feel the system lacks abit of punch in it. Was told to just get a woofer and it will do. Anyone drives cars with these built in sets ? What did you do ?
  10. Hi, I drive an IS200.. the sound system in the car is one of those built in one piece sets. I find the sound system not really fantastic. But cos everything comes built-in, cannot change. Anyone drives similar cars and feel the same ? What did you do ? Cheers
  11. Does any know know about the Denso Iridium plugs that are made for Toyota & Lexus Cars ? The models are SK16-R11 & SK20-R11 .... suppose to be ultra long life plugs. Read in some US Toyota website that the plugs can last at least 60,000 miles or about 96,000 km ... is this true ?
  12. F1-inspired Lexus Supercar Is Go, Go, Go The most exciting Japanese supercar ever to be developed is under starter's orders, Auto Express can reveal. Toyota's eagerly anticipated road car - to mark its current involvement in Formula One - has been given the green light, and is expected to make its public debut at October's Tokyo Motor Show. The rear-wheel-drive machine will be powered by a 4.5-litre V8 and wear a Lexus badge. It heralds the arrival of the prestige brand in the maker's home market, where it has never been sold. Taking inspiration from the stylised red coup
  13. Saw a pretty fast Lexus today along AYE towards Keppel Road around 1245pm. SDD??M Had a hard time chasing up. Nice car! Darn fast too. Wonder what kind of steroids you feed to your car!

  18. I think I remember reading about this somewhere, but somehow couldnt find the thread, so am posting it here. For our Lexus IS200 owners, just read in the latest issue of WHEELS magazine. Page 44. TTE [Toyota Team Europe] www.tte.de has developed a TTE supercharger kit based on the Eaton M62 Supercharger [similar to the one in the C200 Kompressor] and is also approved by the LTA. 0-100km/h readings improved from 11.1secs to 9.03secs. Installation and more info from Autofix. Cheers
