  3. [extract] A few of my friends recently test drove the 2012 Range Rover Evoque and most of them basically decided that those that decided to save SG$20,000 or thereabouts for the BMW X3 or the Audi Q5 must have been either mad or simply too 'poor' to afford that extra amount asked by Range Rover for the Evoque. The car is totally 'worth' the SG$260,000 in terms of looks and its interior appointments. It looks stunning in the flesh and is one of those cars that one yearn to own. If one could afford it of course. Anyway, what owners of Range Rover, Land Rover has done is come up with another stunning Evoque, in a chunky Tonka toy sort of way
  4. Sorry for noob qn. 1st time buying..
  5. [extract] Ferrari has brought its current range for display in Paris, each equipped with either a new generation of the company's 8 or 12-cylinder powertrains. The F12berlinetta - the most powerful V12 ever built by the Maranello based factory, contains 740bhp within a light, compact architecture. Complementing the F12 is the FF, Ferrari

  9. Introducing the Moon Rover. No unlike the name suggests this is not a new moon buggy NASA has built for transportation on the moon, though it looks better than ones NASA has built. Big Daddy Customs from India has made a Moon Rover, which is essentially a Tata Safari SUV that is retooled to look like an erm, Range Rover Evoque, despite the Evoque being wider and shorter in wheelbase and height. Nonetheless, from the pictures, you can tell it is neither horrible, nor is it anywhere close to the original. The front resembles the Evoque or it tries to and the "custom white paint job" comes as standard. The custom conversion kit comes with an Evoque replica front bumper, angel eyes for headlamps, LED daytime running lamps on the front bumper. Also included are Alloy wheels, replica tail lamps and quad exhaust pipes with chrome tips. Photo Credit: Big Daddy Customs
  10. [extract] Lately, Mini is moving forward with the announcement of a commercial model, the Mini Clubvan. And now it seems that the Mini model range is expanding even further. 11. wah lau, now NS so good life, no more night shoot liow. I wonder if it is air conditioned? it is a matter of time that all Field trg & exercise, jungle trg, topo, Fibua, SOC, dig trench, charge hill will be all indoor, and all computerised, like playing battlefield or counterstrike in cool comfort. Oct 5, 2010 New SAF shooting range By Daryl Chin THE Singapore Armed Forces has added a new firing range to its training arsenal. The three-storey indoor complex, dubbed the Multi Mission Range Complex (MMRC), will house seven shooting ranges when it is completed in 2013. The aim of the MMRC is to provide a one-stop marksmanship training centre which will, for the first time, simulate both day and night shooting environments, as well as different weather conditions. The state-of-the-art complex also has features not found in other firing ranges, such as the use of computer-generated imagery to provide realistic training scenarios and video targetry systems to coach soldiers in shooting skills. Also included is an Urban Operations Range which facilitates urban live firing with after-action review video feedback, and a Support Weapon Range for training involving sniper weapons and machine guns. A Multi-Tier Range, which gives soldiers the opportunity to simulate firing at ground targets from various levels of a building, will also be available for the first time. Currently, the SAF has 18 firing ranges located in Mandai, Nee Soon, Poyan, Pulau Tekong and Bukit Timah, among others.

  21. The new BMW 1-Series gains a fresh batch of engines. These new variants, presented in Europe, are the diesel-powered 125d and 116d EfficientDynamics Edition, and the petrol 125i. Of more interest to the Singapore market would be the gasoline-powered 125i. It has a 2.0L petrol engine with TwinPower Turbo Technology. It produces 215 hp and 310 Nm of torque, enabling the 8-speed automatic version to sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 6.5 seconds, which is 0.1 seconds faster than its close rival, the Golf GTI E35. The 125i has a top speed of 245km/h. It is rather environmentally friendly and returns a fuel efficiency of 6.6 L/100km with CO2 emissions of 154 g/km. Up next is the 125d powered by a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder diesel producing 218 bhp at 4,400rpm and 450Nm of peak torque. It sprints from 0 to 100km/h in 6.5 seconds when paired with either the 6-speed manual gearbox or the 8-speed automatic transmission before hitting a top speed of 240km/h. It averages 4.9 L/100km with CO2 emissions of 129 g/km. The 116d has a 1.6L four-cylinder diesel engine with 114 hp and 260 Nm of torque. It is connected to a six-speed manual transmission which allows the car to run from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 195 km/h. Thanks to an aerodynamic body kit and low rolling resistance tires, the 116d returns an impressive fuel economy of 3.8 L/100km with CO2 emissions of 99 g/km. The BMW 1 series M Sport package will include an aggressive body kit, a sports suspension with 10mm reduced height and either 17 or 18-inch alloys. On the inside, the driver/occupants will be pampered with fabric/Alcantara sports seats. Other highlights include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, aluminum door sill plates and lots of
  22. The Range Rover box at the Paris Motor Show revealed the 3 door version of the fantastic looking Evoque, and now, they've rolled out their 5 door version of the sporty, scaled down SUV. With 5 doors, the Evoque is set to be more versatile and practical than before and besides the additional 2 doors, there aren't any aesthetic changes or any major differences in its dimensions. The 5 door version is identical in width, length and wheelbase but there is a difference in height; 30mm above the driver's head and 40mm at the back. With more doors comes an airier cabin and the best thing I would like to have from this Range Rover is that ultra cool dual view technology display at the front where the driver sees a map for example, while the passenger at the front watches a movie! The Evoque also comes with sophisticated suspension, called MagneRide Adjustable suspension, which make the SUV more car-like in terms of its handling and though we won't use much of its Terrain Response electronics to handle off road bumps and crests, its still a pretty neat thing to have in your baby Range Rover. Under the bonnet, you can either have a two-wheel drive eD4 diesel which emits 135g/km of CO2 from a 150bhp 2.2l engine, or a new 240bhp turbocharged petrol engine. I'd rather go for the latter if I was going to buy one, but anyhow, this thing looks great! Probably the best looking SUV ever made. (photos courtesy of autoexpress)
