  1. Toyota of Europe has announced that its lineup for the 2006 Paris Motor Show will include the production version of the Yaris TS concept that debuted at the last Genever Motor Show. The production version will be equipped with a new 1.8-liter dual VVT-I engine that produces 132 horsepower and propels the tiny Yaris to a top speed of 120 mph. The Yaris TS will also receive an updated suspension to sharpen its moves and additional styling elements that further separate it from the crowd. We
  2. HI all, Just purchased my toyota yaris 1.5, model G. This is my first car. Any bro owns a yaris and care to share the pleasure of driving it or the problems encountered???
  3. Toyota Yaris T Sport We've known for a long time that Toyota's Yaris is a great supermini, so a raft of improvements and a minor facelift can only make it even more popular. Our favourite model has always been the fun-to-drive T Sport, and now that the feisty flagship is available with five doors, greater practicality has been added to the tempting package. The aggressive T Sport bodykit has new-look bumpers and a black grille, and all Yaris models now feature revised teardrop-shape headlamps. Despite these changes, the designers haven't been able to disguise the fact that the Yaris is a tall, narrow city car, but it still looks good in hot hatch trim. Across the Yaris range, the most significant technical changes have been made to the suspension to improve ride quality, but the T Sport still uses firmer settings to give a sporty drive. As a result, occupants feel every bump and pothole. But the benefit is that the handling is superb and the Toyota is a hot hatch lover's dream. Power comes from a 103bhp 1.5-litre VVT-i engine, and while 0-60mph in nine seconds is respectable, the coarse-sounding unit has to be revved hard if swift progress is required. Thankfully, the close-ratio gearing saves the day, and the razor-sharp throttle response often makes the Yaris seem quicker than it is. Fuel consumption of 40.4mpg and CO2 exhaust emissions of 165g/km will also keep running costs down. At
  4. Just curious. Toyota Yaris has been selling for quite some time, but I hardly seen any on the road yet. Maybe I'm not observant enough. Anyone bought Yaris and how is it so far?
  5. Hi people, just went down to Leng Kee for a test drive of the 1.5A Yaris on Sat. Below are my observations: - Boot space is a joke! In fact, its the smallest boot space I've ever seen - Engine is SUPER NOISY & rough at >2500rpm, strange...In fact, my current 2006 KIA RIO 1.4M engine is way quieter at that RPM - Read that the 0-100KM sprint takes 9+ seconds. However, when i pedal to metal from 50km/hr on a straight stretch, there's no feeling of being pressed back to seat at all, despite car dropping gear and RPM at 3000. However, the car's not all that bad, it has futuristic and good quality internal fittings/design and if u add the bodykit, its . The road noise insulation is also superb, just like a conti car . However, with the $52K price tag, think I'd go with the Swift 1.5.
  6. which would you wanna get. i know alot of people think that honda is a good brand, but when i test drived the honda jazz, its like, suzuki wagon R. anything can let wind blow down. i wanna know which would you choose. Latio Sport is the most expensive of the 3, followed by honda jazz, then the low-end yaris. if you wanna get a high end yaris, with better specification, why not get from richburg motors.?
  7. Hi everyone, i am thinking of importing myself the original fog lamp for yaris into SG. BM is selling it @ $686 with install... I was SHOCKED! Anione gt ani lobang? Tanks
  8. Audi is adding another diesel model to their compact A4 lineup in Europe with the 1.9 TDI e. The new 1.9L diesel has 115 hp and can get the A4 up to 62 mph in just over 11 seconds. More importantly, it can go over 45 miles on every US gallon of diesel while only emitting 137 g of CO2 per km. The efficient engine is combined with a wide-ratio six speed gearbox that helps keep the engine spinning as slow as possible. Audi also trimmed the weight of the new model with items like an aluminum hood along, low rolling resistance tires and aero tweaks. The TDI e is available as either a sedan or wagon and starts at

    Yaris BHP?

Hi guys, wads e acutal BHP for the Yaris 1.5? I seem 109bhp in the brochure, 107bhp in the brochure, 105bhp in forum and 103bhp in http://www.sgcarmart.com/new_cars/pricelist.php?MAK=Toyota Which is the exact one?
  11. Had a look at the Yaris at BM this afternoon, find it a nice cute little car. Its face reminds me of a fat Tang dynasty lady. There are 2 models avaliable, 1.5E(m) -> $53,988 1.5E(a) -> $55,988 1.5G(a) -> $57,988 The 'G' model comes with fog lamps, side moulding and individually recline able rear seats. Leather upholstery is not included for both models. The interior is spacious and there are many compartments for keeping your stuff, the dash board design is nice and simple. However, the feel and quality of the plastics(esp the dials) feels cheap. The powerplant is taken from the Vios and its pretty responsive, cabin noise level is pretty alright during cruising. The car comes with front discs/rear drums, ABS, EBD & 2 airbags. What particularly irked me was the steering, its over assisted and feels extremely light! There is no feel at all and it does not give me any confidence during cornering. Overall, I feel that its a nice but overpriced car. Attached are some pics from the brochure.
  12. Ani comments on which shld be a better buy? Altis 1.6 - spacious but no FL model. Power average. $57K Vios 1.5 - sporty, performance, gd FC, $47K Yaris 1.5 - new model, funky, spacious, power nt too sure. $52K
