Gobsmacked. This guy takes home $1800 all in and his wife is not working. He has 5 kids with a 6th coming. They can even go Genting for holiday.

Hi, like to check if anyone tried calling the number to report parking offences in HDB area? In my area, there is a truck who had parked overnight, illegally in the loading bay for the last 2 weeks, despite I called several times to the hdb carpark enforcement office to complain about that, the truck is still there...no summon issue...? I have no issue with these people parking illegally cos sometimes I did that too...but doing it everyday and I supposed they dont buy the season parking becos a truck can never enter a multi storey car park, so I think it is not fair to those who bought the season parking. The last call I made to them, the officer asked me if I like to have the enforcer to come down....! WTf, I tot they supposed to attend to such complain...! So guys, look like I have being a kapo and getting nowhere.... Any alternative beside call the HDB...legally....

In light of the post, of an FT claiming that our authorities are 'hindering' him to get hitched here becos he was earning about $1700 per month... Who says if you are earning $1800 to $2000 per month, you are financially able to get hitched here( at present living standard and inflationary rate )...with the fact that you have... 1) NO housing... 2) Parents to support...siblings too... 3) Kids coming along the way, with not much increase in your foreseeable salary structure?

Happened to go buy breakfast early morning 7+ today for my family and saw a car that parked illegally at the handicap lot. He (Impreza OPC) actually parked illegally there on a few occasions, sometimes he will choose to park at the washing bay if he arrives home late at night. Very tempted to call up the authorities. When I came back after buying food, saw his car got issued with a ticket. Cisco do work on Sunday. $400 FINE Those who choose to illegal park, think twice!

when performing Project Shed Weight, guess what I found... almost 4cm of water flooding in my spare wheel well! i cleaned it out and seems like there's rust forming. i went for a car wash today and seems like it's seeping in from the side, where the jack is stored. i can only imagine how long that puddle has been accumulating under the board. damn, looks like another mini project for me to sand it down and give it a coat of pylox.
