Hi all, Not sure if some kind souls can help with starting a new thread under "General" as i have not reach 25 posts yet. I had a accident on the 4th April around 1040 pm, Along Punggol Road slip road towards Jalan Kayu/ SLE/CTE. I was on the extreme left filter lane (there were 2 lanes), and after checking clear i proceeded. Suddenly a cyclist (Foreign worker , dark skinned either indian or bangadeshi, wearing a black tshirt with dark colored bottoms ) cycled acrossed the pedestrian crossing without checking. He was going at a fast speed, cycling across and i could not react in time. Jammed brakes but still hit the rear wheel of the bicycle. He fell and i believe sustained some injuries towards his wrist and foot. I dialed for police and ambulance , statements were given and the case is still pending. Would anyone happen to see the accident? I have been prowling the net to search for other such incidents, however, all pointed to the fault of the driver. Acura, the luxury division under the Japanese automaker Honda, has released an image of a new concept vehicle prior to the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show. From the image released, the concept vehicle is seemingly a crossover. Acura had mentioned that the concept will debut for the first time in the world at the automotive exhibition that will take place later this month in Shanghai, China. Unfortunately, apart from that and the image, the automaker has yet to reveal any other details, such as engine specifications and interior features. The concept is likely to create a new market segment, considering Acura has recently launched the 2013 all new RDX and the 2014 MDX. Judging from the tyre sizes in proportion to the car's body in the image, it seems that this new concept vehicle from Acura will be a compact crossover. If so, it'll potentially compete against the BMW X1, the Audi Q3, the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class, and the Lincoln MKC, the latter two of which are going into production soon. It seems that Acura won't be the only one previewing a new concept vehicle as Honda will also do the same thing. The model that Honda will likely preview is a redesign of the Honda Odyssey. Yes, although the North American version (redesigned) of the model had just recently been revealed in the 2013 New York Auto Show, Honda has actually been selling the global version since 2008. Therefore, it seems wise for the model to see a redesign of its global version soon.

The 2013 Lexus GS will be unveiled tomorrow, but the first undisguised pictures have already hit the web. Looking like an enlarged IS with an hourglass grille, the production model has a sporty front fascia, LED-infused headlights and a dynamic rear end. Additionally, the cabin is slated to feature premium leather seats, a three-spoke steering wheel and a 12.3-inch infotainment system. I was walking back to my car when I saw a grey goods van moving out of the lot beside your car n in the process scrapped your front bumper n then move off. I think this year, they will remove the $1200 for old car lic plate to old car lic plate as ppl cannot afford new cars. At least if they want to keep lic plate, they can at $100. Other than that, watch this space...budget time again and live updates will be here faster than CNN, CNA or Parliament house, some say [laugh]

Many here has switch from expensive Japanese cars to value for money korean makes. But in Korea, it maybe the begining of the other way round after tax cuts on imported vehicles were made recently in Korea. Trying to imagine if more models start flooding their maket with foreign Jap imports. I am looking at the new Kia Sorento 2013 model - was wondering any previous generation or Kia owners can shed me some light on the following, 1. Cost of running 2. Fuel consumption 3. Servicing 4. Quality of ride 5. Resale value - Looking at SG Car Mart, the Sorentos are doing quite well in terms of resale value. I test drove the 2013 model and am interested in it, 7 seater, wide body, alot of options, nice styling, good power to weight ratio, good fuel consumption for a vehicle that massive, average torque for the petrol version and massive torque for the turbodiesel version, but heard cant go into malaysia....anyways overall am impressed with it. but never had a Korean make before, previously Japanese and Conti-cars. Any advise would be great. TIA!!

Has anyone been to a Natas Travel Fair? Worth to visit? I am planning to visit Korea in Nov/Dec with my family. This is the first time in many years that we are considering a packaged tour so we could be paying a visit to the Natas Fair this weekend. This will be our first visit to Korea and my wife only managed to get 5 days of annual leave approved. Hopefully it is enough. Any bros got good deals from the fair before? If not, we may just give it a miss.

hmm... Do you think there is a possiblity that there may be a big commerical pty market crash next yr? Many SME business I know is facing crisis. Given the higher rental cost , operating cost as well as manpower shortage... Do you think there is a likelihood that many small business will fold soon. Causing many commerical properties to be "out of rent".
