  4. Lai, since we have some requests to re-jiak the liu lian, and it has been a 2 months since our last MU, today I bring you, " 13th July 2017 Jiak liu lian MU" Once again, this is more of a get together bonding than a actual eat premium durian session, so I am trying to keep the cost as low as possible for everyone. I am proposing a fee of $25/pax. As usual with any paid event from me, the venue is left private to avoid any gate crash which may upset paying members later, my apologies if anyone is offended but I seek understanding from you guys. As usual, anyone whom like to join us, but do not want to list your name here, pls PM me and I shall take note of that and list the name down as "private" in the list. From past experience, we found that in order for everyone to participate in the grp, a grp size of 12-14 is ideal, any bigger and some may be left attended, and since this is a paid event, we will be limiting the total number to 12. Cut off date will be 10th July 2017, 2359hrs or 12 slots fill up, which ever is earlier, and finalize payment by 12th July 2017, 2359hrs. No collection on 13th July itself. bro @kusje pls check if you can make it, you still have a rain check to claim. Ai jiak liu lian pls cum in! All are welcome, eat liu lian and talk cock. Date: 13 July 2017 time: starting 8pm venue: through Private arrangement. proposed price: $25/pax Please fill in the blanks 1) Tianmo

  6. The new Chevrolet Cruze has not been brought in as of 2017. This model has been speculated to come on sale in sg by first or second quarter of 2018 (iirc) And since there is only talk about this model but no threads on it, I decided to take the initiative to start this thread. This model, if priced correctly, can sell adequately. For this model, there is only a 1.4 turbocharged Petrol or a 1.6 turbocharged Diesel engine, so the 1.6 NA will not be back... Dimensions : Wheelbase:2700mm Length:4666mm 4453mm(hatchback) Width:1795mm Height:1458mm 1465mm(hatchback) Weight:1195-1300 kg* * Chinese models. Rest of them are international (us ) models. Thanks.
  7. @credor @davidtch @dleodleo @easyrider @theoldjaffa @ender @lala81 @rctp @sturtles @silangkia @sadan @tohto Here it is, the return of the 10x10 challenge some of you have requested for. I am putting this thread under "Healthcare & wellness" because I feel that it better suits here instead of under the "meet up" folder. So here goes. Start date: 26 March 2018 (Monday) End date: 03 June 2018 ( Sunday) Total 10 weeks. challenge 10 km a week (run, jog, walk, crawl), as long as you complete 10 km from Monday 00:00 hrs to Sunday 23:59 hrs each week. Those who can do more, pls go ahead and do more, pls do not stop at 10km. I am planning our start of event run on the evening of 27 March 2018, Tuesday. Location TBA end of this week, please refer back here for updates. Any suggestions on location beside the usual few we had? @adrianli @bancoe, do join us for the run if you are available on the day. @roadrunner2029, @mason016, pls do continue to give us your valuable tips and pointers to help us run better, faster and safer. Anyone else who is interested to join the grp, pls download Strava apps, look for "mcf running club" and request to join, send @ender or Tianmo a note so that we know who you are and can accept your request. we will stop accepting on 18 March, new comers can use the following week to get use to the app, fine tune and warn up before the start of the event. Current challengers pls make use of the 2 weeks to warn up your engines. Thats all from me for now, you guys pls carry on from here.

  13. Was at VW Alexandra 1st week of Sep 2017. According to SE, Golf facelift (mk7.5) is already in Tuas, undergoing LTA homologation process. All SEs have already been there to look at the cars, with photos in their mobile phones. Spec sheets have already been drawn up, which I got a glimpse on SE's mobile phones. Some sketchy (I don't have complete picture) details: Current Golf 1.2 will be replaced with facelift 1.0 New 1.4 will again have two versions, named ComfortLine or TrendLine or HighLine or something. Facelift 1.5 is nowhere in sight. GTI and R is also in the works. Active Info Display is "deemed a high-end feature", and only available in the highest models: GTI and above. ACC (adaptive cruise control) is again nowhere in sight. Currently clearing Golf stocks (all ex-stock, limited colors) to make way for the facelifts. They shouldn't have any problems since Cat A just drop a massive 7K on 06-Sep 2017.

  15. As there has not been any thread set up for this year’s sgcarmart 2017 Car of the Year, i have included the link to create awareness as there are prizes to be won as well. http://www.sgcarmart.com/coty2017/ Strange thing though is that there doesnt seem to be a category for MPVs unlike previous years. Good luck guys!!
  16. The Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance! It was a bit out-of-the-blue for me. https://paultan.org/2018/02/01/renault-nissan-mitsubishi-alliance-sold-10-6-million-vehicles-in-2017-overtakes-vw-and-toyota-to-top-spot/
  17. A heady year with many new policies. Amongst the many new laws, the VES and the diesel tax will have the greatest impact on our local car buyers. Last year saw the top ten list filled with predictable best sellers from Honda, Toyota and Mercedes. Will that change? IMO, the best sellers this year will be quite similar, as dealer will still have existing stock of the top sellers, and even though the surcharge goes up, it only occurs next year in Jan 2018. So we should see a small rush for them, and perhaps even a rush for the diesel based best sellers like the BMW 116d and 216d. As a reference, I have included the best sellers for 2016: Top ten for 2015: http://business.asiaone.com/news/toyota-surges-no-1-brand-singapore Top ten for 2014: http://www.carbuyer.com.sg/features/399-can-you-guess-singapore-s-best-selling-car http://focus2move.com/mercedes-e-class-best-selling-car-singapore/ http://www.sgcarmart.com/news/article.php?AID=10795 Top ten for 2013: http://www.lifestyleasia.com/380529/top-selling-car-in-singapore-2013/
  18. Might have some good deals coming up at the Singapore Motor Show, 12-15 Jan 2017 http://www.motorshow.com.sg/2017/home/ So far no exhibitor list available. Don't know which Distributors & Parallel Importers are coming in.
  19. 2016 is almost over, and we still have one or two more blockbusters, but next year, we have quite a few sequels, a few new shows in store.. Are there any shows that you are looking out for in the coming year?
  20. This year is a special year for our dearest Santa Claus, as he is taking alternate transport during this festive season. He is more environmental conscious? or is it because he has promo code? or maybe he like thing free of charge too? Actually is it because... ... ... ... He lost his redindeer to Koti Pizza... I would like to wish all MCFers: A Merry Christmas and A Wonderful New Year.

  23. Just nice to be able to put up this thread before flying off, and by the time I return, about time to start another thread for 2nd round of Dec...
