May I ask advise from any Axio drivers year 2008 for NZE141? Q: This model fan motor only turns when you switch on the aircon right? When the aircon is not switch on, the fan motor doesn't rotate at all. Is your Axio works the same ? Unlike my previous old car corolla & corolla, even when aircon is not on, the fan motor automatically switch on when the radiator becomes hotter and hotter It will cools down the raidator thanks alot

Long story short, just graduated few months back.from TED automotive, Trying to apply for job as finances at home are tight.. currently working as a temp in the meantime to help with income, but it isnt enough to support.. No luck so far with regards to job applications.. Not sure what to expect or how long usually the job application process take as this is my first time applying for job No driving license yet but currently midway taking class 3, didn't take when i was studying in order to focus on studies.. Anyone working in the industry so far? Thanks in advance!

MY current situation is abit complicated. So I just want to know if the options I'm considering is it feasible. Due to personal issue, I need to change my current car, which is quite new. Problem is I don't want to fork out too much for the new, so I'm considering a downgrade. Current drive, Honda Vezel 1.5X petrol. Less than 3 years old. Out standing loan around 30k. Market valuation is 64 to 69K. Wish to change to either New Kia K3 at 73,999 or 2nd hand MPV of similar value (E.g Wish, Sienta, Etc). Main issue is because I need to change ownership of current car, and can't change unless loan is settle. So only way is to change the car to clear current loan, and get another new loan. Is this move feasible in terms of monetary means. How much do I tend to lose from doing such move?

I encounter car lost power then not responsive when stepping the accelerator ... then suddenly it become responsive but with a jerk ... so what can be the problem ?

Hi all, Need some advise. I am scheduled for 50K servicing for my BMW 120I cabriolet and I just got it second hand. It is a 2011 model and is 5+ years old. I am considering going to juzz for cars for servicing. Need some advise if they are good and worth it? Also, I was told to change the following: 1) Engine Oil 2) Oil Engine Filter 3) Gearbox Fluid 4) Gearbox Oil Filter 5) Rear differential fluid spark plug. Is the above all necessary to change? Appreciate your advise. Thank you in advance.

Hi, My parked car was involved in a hit&run accident and was captured by my dashboard cam, therefore I have submitted to the TP for investigation and left my car unrepaired. I have received the closure of the investigation from the TP with a letter stating the vehicle was charged. I went on to call my insurer and asked whether can i proceed with the repair of the car damages, their answer is you cant UNLESS the other party makes a report to his insurer first, and even if the 3rd party makes a report to his insurer now his insurer may not be paying for the damages because its more than 24 hours - it will depends on the insurer T&Cs, to share its more than 2 months. So my question is - If the 3rd party decides not to make a report, can i still claim? Secondly, if he makes a report to his insurer and his insurer does not want to be involve, does it means it will be a lawsuit? Thirdly, it is a commercial van that hit my car, with the license plate am i able to find out which company owns this van? Troubled.

Hi All, Like to check with you guys. Should you park your car in a condo car park and a light drops from the ceiling and damages the car, the condo management should be responsible and compensate for damages right? Initially the condo management said they would compensate and then proceeded to make claim with their insurer. But here is the twist, insurer contacted me saying that the condo management has done their due diligence to do regular checks to make sure the light fittings are all in good condition and so the condo management nor the insurance company is not liable. This makes totally no sense to me. Can anyone advise on this please? Thanks!

Recently, was toying with the idea of upsizing wheels to 18s. Saw an advert for some 17" used tyres with reasonable amount of meat left so decided to purchase from a tyre shop that lists heavily in this forum while I take my time to shop for used premium 18s. Less than 300km of usage later, one of the tyres developed a bulge on the sidewall. The hump is no more than 3-5mm tall but after doing some research online, everything points to the tyre having being curbed and damaged. Most online advise was to switch out to prevent a blowout. Went back to this tyre shop to seek assistance but was extremely surprised and puzzled that the boss and worker said it was not an issue and that the tyre is safe for continued use. I asked like 5 times but each time they reassured me it's not a problem. These guys run a tyre shop so they should be experts in this field, yet I keep reading otherwise online. Anyone can clarify? Or have personal experiences? TIA

I have a main door that is sagging such that the bottom actually touches the floor at the furthest end when closing but I fixed that by sanding with the door on. The problem seems like the highest hinge is a bit loose causing the tilt but I cannot tighten it because the door frame is steel and the holes are a bit worn. Was thinking of anchoring it with long screws but how can I grip the concrete that is behind the door frame? I cannot insert a plug or anchor through the hinge hole and the screws must be able to seat flush at the hinge. Another is a concrete top that is seeping water, not leaking, just that the splashing from washing causes it to land on the edges n seep to the bottom. Plumbers putty would work but can I get them to cover a 2 inch by 36inch by half inch cheaply. At half inch would cement be able to stop the seepage? I cannot engage pros because I do not want to invest too much.

Hi guys, My car remote not able to unlock my car despite remote control still having light when press. When i try opening the car door,the alarm keep going off. It is a after market alarm and i have no ideas how to deactivate it. Any suggestion on this? Another friend suggest that i cut the wire connecting to the alarm speaker. Was wonder if there other better way. Thank in advance.

Dear all car lovers, Would like to seek some advise here on what am experiencing now. My car IU unit suddenly turn with Green Light "Hard On". Even with cash card removed and engine power off. Is there a way to perform a Hardware reset to the IU unit ? Or I have to send to the authorized workshop to get it repair / replace. Any advise to be shared will be much appreciated. Regards.

Hi, My apologies if I have posted in the wrong forum. Was away for the week and left my car parked in the MSCP. When I went and take my car today, I discovered the bumper and boot have quite a lot of white dots (paints spilled from the MSCP wall painting). Apparently, when they paint the carpark, my car was not fully covered. The paints have dried and I am unable to scratch them off. Does anyone have any advice on how to go about in removing the paint? Thank you.

Hi Guys, If I were to broker a business transaction between 2 companies, is there a way whereby I can get the supplier or buyer to sign a legal document giving me a return for the deal without setting up a company myself? (i.e. I am represented by myself and not a company). Need advice from bros here If No 1 is possible, can I get the companies to sign an NDA with me? Appreciate advice from bros who are knowledgeable in legal terms.. Thanks !!

My car going to due in Dec 2015 and currently hunting a new car now .... Aircon start giving me problem last month, cool air instead of cold air blowing out. Went to see the "MCF recommended" aircon specialist in the north and was told compressor going to kaput. I was quoted $600-$700 for the compressor and decided just to top up aircon gas. After topping up the aircon gas, aircon is back back to norm until today. Went to seek 2nd opinion from another workshop in the north, this time was told the cooling coil leak and need to change else compressor will sure die soon. is it the compressor or cooling coil causing the problem or worst both need to change. Do you think my aircon able to "tong" for 4-5 months by just topping up aircon gas every month?

Hi i saw some vehicle in carmart that is significantly cheaper than same model / year vehicle. Stated as imported used, i understand that it is previously used in another county BEFORE the reg date in Singapore, other than that is there any other non benefit i should watch out for in such vehicle? I understand spare part difference may be possible also but the imported i am looking at is japan made thus its likely to be the same compared to a conti as conti have a lot of different variants. I calculated that i should benefit more from the lower buying price thus lower downpayment, lower monthly installment, less paid for interest also. Vehicle is stated with a additional info of : Additional Imported Used Vehicle. Eligible for PARF rebate. Please correct me if i am wrong. Thank you.

Hi guys, need some advise. I parked my vehicle at an open carpark and left. Upon coming back I noticed a dent on my front bumper. Luckily my car has a car cam and it captured clearly the vehicle that did it. Apparently the accident happened when the driver beside me was trying to drive out but I think because there was some illegal parking infront, the driver tried to steer nearer to my car in order to drive out and somehow too close and knock on my bumper. So what I have done was right after the accident: - lodged a Police Report - went to my insurance authorised workshop to lodge a report to claim against 3rd party This happened like 3 weeks ago. I then checked with the other party's insurance coy and apparently they have already issued a notice to the driver but the driver did not respond. I Was told the insurance will send 3 reminders to that driver over a span of 3 months and if the driver still did not respond, it will be referred to the TP and they said they MIGHT not honour any claims. My question is then what should I do. Who is going to compensate my damages? I assume if this goes to TP, the law will take care of the driver but then how about my repairs? My car is still moving around with the dent right now. Thks.

Jaguar XF we are not bias against any branding and these models fit our budget. have test driven the XF and yet to test the remaining appreciate if you could give your views especially ex and current owners. I am only narrowing down to these few models only Have a terrific Monday !

Hi all, was very unlucky and got hit by a malaysian van today. My Toyota Altis is just 3 weeks old. It hit our car on the back and obviously it's the van driver's fault as we were stationary at the red light. No injuries and did a police report together. Later then found out that Borneo motors won't do a claim against 3rd party and especially a Malaysian insurance conpany. Found out that total repair cost would be $1500 but the van driver isn't willing to pay as he keep insisting he is covered by insurance and have the rights not to pay a single cent. He then verbally agreed to fork out $1k as a goodwill but it has to be over a few months as he is a blue collar construction worker here. That guy has now gone back to jb and I don't even know if he is really paying me the $1k. We definitely won't do a claim from our own insurance as my dad was at the steering wheel and excess would be in the thousands. Any kind advise from fellow forumers here? Any reliable workshop willing to do Malaysian insurance claim?

Hi, Am thinking of upsizing my new Mazda3 from 16" to 19", as i absolutely love the looks. Specific question is, if i am not a heavy foot and speedy driver, how big is the impact on take off, acceleration, and fuel consumption? Is the car going to be horribly sluggish? I am aware of the harder, noisier and bumpier ride. I just love the look. And there's an original Mazda 19" available at a shop. Original is 205/60-R16 , 16"x6.5 , offset 50. The change will be to 19"x7.0 , offset 50 and available tyre options at the shop are 235/35-R19 (-0.8%) or 225/40-R19 (+1.5%). Please advise. Many thanks.

Hi all: Need some advise here. I am in the 40s and looking for a backup plan in case of retrenchment or potentially a part-time income if my job is smooth sailing I am really looking at Workplace Safety Officer or Property Officer and trying to decide which course I should be going for to prepare this. (1) Advanced Certificate in WSH - S'pore Poly (2) DIPLOMA (CONVERSION) IN FACILITY MANAGEMENT - Ngee Ann Poly For WSH, I believe I need to work for 2 years before I could go for Specialist Diploma in order to get MOM licence and not sure if it is easy to accumulate the 2 years experience to fulfill the requirement for the next level. Any experience WSH Officer or Property Officer could provide advise would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The country's top crime fighting agency has registered a case against Gurmeet Ram Rahim, known as the "guru in bling" for his penchant for garish clothes and jewellery, over the operations in the country's north. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) said in a statement late Wednesday Rahim is being investigated for criminal intimidation and causing grievous bodily hurt, saying 400 castrations were allegedly carried out. The guru, who heads the Dera Sacha Sauda organisation based in Haryana state, is already facing trial for conspiracy over the murder of a journalist in 2002 along with claims of sexually exploiting female followers. The latest case was filed after one of his devotees, Hans Raj Chauhan, lodged a complaint in court alleging he was manipulated into having the "painful" operation at the ashram. "They were told that only those who get castrated will be able to meet god," Chauhan's lawyer, Navkiran Singh, told AFP on Thursday. "We will put all the facts of the case to the court and seek compensation for the victims." He said doctors carried out the castrations over a period from 2000, but for years his client had been too scared to come forward. The court asked the CBI to undergo an investigation into the alleged castrations. Forty-seven-year-old Rahim could not immediately be contacted for comment. The Dera Sacha Sauda says it is a social welfare and spiritual organisation with millions of followers in India and abroad. On its website, the group describes Rahim as a saint as well as an author, inventor, scientist, philosopher, philanthropist, peace activist and "the ultimate humanitarian". Rahim also stars in an action movie to be released later this month called "MSG: Messenger of God" in which the guru fights criminals, sings songs and is shown dousing himself in water in slow motion after a rugby game. India has been rocked by numerous scandals involving popular godmen who are mostly Hindu ascetics claiming to possess mystical powers. In November, police arrested Baba Rampal Maharaj after a long and violent siege at his ashram in Haryana when he refused to comply with court orders in a murder case. In a bizarre case, devotees of a dead guru are fighting a court battle in Punjab state to preserve his body in a freezer, insisting he is only meditating. For many Indians, gurus play an integral role in daily life.
