Hi all, can i check with you guys/girls, how do you clean the other side of the window at home ar? its quite dangerous to use the hand to reach for the other side right? any tools or small machines that can help with this task? the dust + rain has caused some ugly water marks for some time. thinking of cleaning them soon. SK

Hi bros, i got involved in 3 cars chain accident today. I m in the last car position. Understand that i am liable for the 2nd car that i banged. But i am concerned if i am only liable for the backside or including the front? The 2nd car actually banged the 1st car before i couldnt brake in time and bang the 2nd. Checked with insurance company and they oso couldnt advise me on this yet as they need time to investigate. Any bros can enlighten me? Thanks..

I usually pump 230 on 4 tyres on my car. But I recently note that my front left tyre always leak to 170 while all the other tyres are still ard 220 after one week from pumping... Need yr advise: 1. What problem do u think this is? 2. where/which workshop would you recommend me if you think I need to bring my car in to a workshop 3. Would you know the expected costs involved? Many thanks in advance!

Hi Guys, As some of you may know my cheapo car got into a major scratch by a freak a couple of weeks back. Have been around the forums, work shops seeking price checks on the re-spraying. So far it is in the 1.3k range which I guess is a little on the high side. But question is usually for such respray, how many layers do they do? Guys with trustworthy work shops, pls do share with me. Due to external re-spray I am thinking to do some interior refresh look also. Carbon Wrap for Interior Just thinking on the 4 Side passenger location where you access to open the windows. Not sure what is the correct name. Also on the front panel which houses the headunit and air con switches. Any rough cost estimation on this? I remembered seeing something similar somewhere, does any one know when I can do this? Cost estimation would be appreciated. LED Lighting for Car Doors/ Cabin Actually I found a place to buy this at a very cheap price. Only problem is on installation. Are there available auto shops which helps to install but at not chop carrot prices? Do advise. Appreciate the help.

I'm intending to get a 2nd hand toyota corolla axio cng model. Anybody owns that car can provide some feedback about the reliability? I heard from my mechanic that a lot of ppl who converted cng had problems 2 years later like stalled engine and dunno what then in the end change back. Is that just because they converted at some alon kuku place or is it just something that happens because cng itself got inherent problems? (i'm guessing the corolla axio model is factory fitted and not converted?) CNG model quite a bit cheaper.... :)

Hi guys, went to recent PC show, saw a number of store selling the Media Player. This media player cost range from $109 to $299. Can watch latest HD movies using their player to detect from their server. connect to your TV and with internet access in your home, you can watch it unlimited time. the demotrastion is convicing. wanted to purchase but plan to do some research 1st. Anyone using them??? any advise on brand and model?

I need advise from you guys, saw this 18" wedsport SA70 japan rims at one tyres shop condition 2 rim quiet bad (attached some photos) and 2 is OK la selling for $800. If send for refurishing & respray colour another $200+/- and that would be about 1K for a 2nd hand rim. Or should I get a brand new one Rays rim for about $1400-$1500. Btw is wedsport SA70 a good rim & how heavy per rim???

Hi there, My mum just bought a 2nd hand car for me and my elder brother. It has been almost 2 months since. Recently, a few problems happened. About 2 weeks ago while I was washing the car, I realised that one of the nut of the rims is missing. No, not the air pressure one or something, but the rim nut. I mean for mine, there are 4 nuts/rim and yea, one of them is missing. Last week, my right fog light blew. My elder brother was randomly testing it and he realised that it couldn't turn on. Lastly, this morning, I realised that my fuel tank cover, cannot close. Mine is the one which has to be activated from inside to unlock the cover. Unfortunately, the mechanic at Autobac said that the fuel tank cable was snapped or something. 1st problem I encountered: What are the chances that the one nut could be missing? I mean it just cannot roll out like that right. To make things worse, no shop sells one nut just like that. They sell like a group of 20 for $200! Luckily for me, I received one from the BM workshop. I'm just wondering, could this be a sign of mischief? Because that nut has to be taken out using the wrench(I think that's the name for the tool). 2nd problem I encountered: This one I don't think it's a sign of mischief. But is there any chance it could be? 3rd problem I encountered: This one I'm still wondering how it happened. My elder brother went to fill up yesterday night, I was with him. But when we left the car, I THINK the fuel tank cover was proper. It was not like protruding out. Cause when I drove off this morning, I saw it open when looking at my side mirror. Mine cannot be opened physically, it can only be done manually inside. If someone were to force open, it would leave a mark right? But there isn't. So again, could this be a sign of mischief? I'm asking if each of them are a sign of mischief because my uncle said maybe I'm very young too have a car already. So people might envy. But I'm not driving any wonderful car. I'm not bad to anyone either. Sigh Thanks guys!

Guys..My car got hit from the back this afternoon. Send in to Borneo, they said need to wait for the assesor from the one who hit me to give approval to repair my car. Tentatively, I need advise for the following issue. 1)I got no car for the time being as my car still movable, but I choose to put it in Borneo, reason being my boot misalign, so if rain, water will leak in. So this period I'm not entitled to car? 2)If I don't want the replacement car, I'm only entitled to $30 to $50 for transport? Is that the market rate? 3)Can I rent car myself and claim from the company? I got experience before they give me a old altis with alignment and balancing all gone. Very scary experience with a replacement car.

Bros, need advise: I bought a 5 year old Nissan Latio in FEB this year, it has been agent serviced all this while under the NPMP Program. http://www.nissan.com.sg/service/plans.cfm?go=npmp2 I bought it just after the last service at 47,000km Its going to be due for the next round of servicing soon (due at 57,000km), and I would like to seek your views if the price is worth it? Hi all, posted this on aroc but not much luck i guess.. lol.. So i try here instead! The media player in my 159 cannot play back my thumbdrive properly. It will either not detect the thumbdrive at all or will switch around FM and media player randomly. Does this happen to anyone here? EA is not able to rectify this issue despite me going back several times. I tried my different thumbdrives using the same music and same thing happens, so the problem is not with the thumbdrive. Is the problem with the music? I have a mix of wma and mp3 files in the thumbdrive and the service guy at EA says having wma inside is the problem and asked me to monitor again after removing the wma files, but i highly doubt wma is the issue as i managed to play wma fine earlier on. (ANU and UniMelb) What i heard and my thoughts UniMelb - Great uni for business (2nd ranking uni in aust) Great life in melb ANU - ok ok for business (1st ranking uni in aust), boring life in canberra. Hi everyone, Need some advice from bros driving jazz... Weneva there are passengers at the back, experiencin a bangin sound on bumpy surface or humps.. Seems like the back left side tyre is knockin against the the body.. My car is now 4 yrs old... Wat shld i do? Need some advice b4 i go to a workshop to check it out... Is coilover suitable for my car? Do i have to change anythin else if i get a coilover? Anythin else i shld look out for? Jazz owners pls advise... Tks

Hey all, I am posting on behalf of my friend whom was involved in a major accident yesterday.. Driver lost control and hit the railings head on at expressway, car spinned and airbags was activated. Few questions: 1) As damages is quite massive, recommended for repair or scrap? 2) If select scrap option, how will the current car loan be settled? As in does he still Have to continue paying the bank the remaining installments for the remaining 5 years since the Car is already scrap? What's the scrap procedure like if select this option? 3) If select repair options, can it be claim full from his insurance apart from the excess payable? What's the repair procedure like if select this option? 4) Any ideas what's the damages payable for the barriers hit as TP & EMAS are activated? 5) Any ideas on the demerit points and fine by TP? Appreciated all your response asap as will be going to workshop with him on coming Monday. Thanks!! Keitho85

my Wife Hyundai matrix has serve us very well all these years. I seldom drive it cause my work require plenty of driving and matrix FC is horrible. I notice that the car act very weird recently when I travel North using the Matrix instead of my own Vios. The car is no longer responsive and its struggling when i cruise on NSHW at 120km/h... the "struggling" is similiar to driving at 50km/hr using 5th gear when driving a manual transmission car. Its at 130K+ now and I have perform oil change using branded fully syn oil (Amsoil, M1, Castrol Edge, redline & etc) every 9K+... As for the AFT, i change it every 30K using Hyundai original SP3 ATF. Sparkplug was gapped and cleaned every 20K, Air Filter using original and replaced every 20K, What could be the problem? any advise? I suspect its the fuel filter cause thats the only thing I have never replace but is my problem sounds to caused by a clogged fuel filter? btw, the Matrix is 100% stock....

Dear Bros/Sis. Just to check if anyone knows whether changing the timing belt helps in reducing the FC cos I am currently on a 2006 combo 1.7m (approx 78XXXkm) and the FC is about 13-14km/l.... Not sure if my FC is reasonable cos I've heard from some of my friends that my FC is pretty high and I've just collected my van a month ago? Please advise... PS. I will be changing it this weekend le... Please pardon me as I am being curious.... Many thanks...

hi guys juz encounter a minor accident. need ur advice again. kindly view e video from my car recorder here: The story goes like this: I was driving out from my carpark. When i checked left there's no car. the video also showed there's no car approaching from left when i reach the junction. i proceed to turn out slowly as there's a car n some pedestarians on my right so naturally i focus more on my right (i cant be watching my left while doing right turn right?) and as u can see e car appear from my left n i cant stopped in time n bang into him. would like to ask does major/minor road rule applies within carpark? cos there's not stop line on my side to state dat i'm minor or he major. although at junction he's going straight while i turning right. but do take note he was not there yet when i was turning out. it ends up his car in front as i was slow n he's fast. (i was slow as there r pedestrians on right) damage: his car - rear right rim scratched, fender n door dent in. now he wanna claim 100% liability on my side and wanted me to pay for one set of rims as we going settle private. but i still think there's some point of contest as it could been avoid if he din insist 'his right of way' as he could hv slow down seeing me alr turn out from my road. thus wanna confirm whether minor/major rule applies in carparks so i can negotiate with him a fairer compensation. cos if repair cost bcoms too high i will go claim insurance. one new set of 19 inch rim cost easily $1k+!! going by video evidence, is there a possibility it will be 50-50? i know going insurance is lose-lose as it's not a big repair, but if he want me to pay for all four rims dun think it's fair. even my previous accident when pple bang me n scratched my rear right rim, insurance also nv compensate full set. btw i'm not trying to shirk any responsiblity here but i dun to juz pay blindly thus bros kindly give adivce pls. thanks

I'm the owner of the vehicle in the pictures and also the victim of this hit-and-run accident, which happened just infront of blk 113 bt batok open air carpark, just before midnight on Sat 21 Aug 2010. I had parked there earlier that night, and noted that there was a lively seventh month auction going on in the open field just beyond the carpark. Fortunately no one was injured, but as you can see my ride has suffered some really serious damage. Kudos to two great civic minded witnesses, I managed to track down the license plate of the culprit - a huge 18-footer lorry ferrying workers. The scum bag driver had obviously reversed his lorry into my car, and ran off without a sound. The damage says it all, as the bottom portion remained largely intact without scratches but top was smashed beyond recognition. He even had the audacity to cover his tracks by clearing the notes left behind by the kind witnesses multiple times TP was called in, I approached the temple organiser Wu3 Dang1 Shan1 Shan4 Long2 Miao4 (武堂山善龙庙) for assistance to find out who the culprit was, made a police report and finally accident report at IDAC. The car is now awaiting assessment by an authorised workshop, but it seems that most of them avoid taking on such cases. Nothing heard from the temple either, but I wouldn't pin my hopes on these equally irresponsible fellas. Come on, at least have the basic courtesy to inform me who the driver was and let us settle ourselves! This should have been a straightforward case.. ie. Lorry driver establishes contact with me, I do a 3rd party claim, get the car repaired and case closed. Why complicate things with a police case, implicate the event organiser, make things difficult for everybody? I have no idea how the investigation will turn out, but let's just say that there is no way I'm going to let this guy off lightly after going through all these tedious processes. Personally would like to hear some opinions on what my chances are, avenues available and of course if there are more witnesses willing to step forward, I would really appreciate if you could contact me at [email protected].
