When starting aircon during cold engine, theres a visible aircon sound discharging from the outlet which sounds like aircon gas. Does anyone encounter this?

Posting for a friend. His Nissan Sunny about 2 yeard old, when start without aircon sound normal. Once the aircon/blower is on, there is a loud humming sound from the engine compartment. It used to be fine just suddenly appear (the sound). Any ideas? Normal? Thanks

hi bros and sistas, some qs on aircon: 1) any diy method to check whether aircon gas is sufficient? think I read somewhere about checking the glass window on the receiver/dryer? 2) what is the hang cheng(market rate) for checking aircon and topping up gas? agent quoted me $35 for this service, me never take up. 3) Will insufficient aircon gas cause the aircon system, particularly the compressor to failed prematurely? Thanks!

any saab95 (2002) owner has alcohol smell coming from the aircon? Is it normal? It has flooded my car with that smell. Getting very pungent. Changing air filter didn't help. Spraying deodoriser didn't help. Workshop not very sure why it happens - still under observation!!

Whenever I open my vents for outside air, my A/C blows out some mist like vapor as well. Issit just condensation from the humid outside air or should I be worried??? Doesn't happen if the recirculation is closed.
