  8. Please lah ... Respect other people property. This fat a_se owner of the vehicle has legs but cannot walk. He visited my my property and he did not park his car at the assigned parking lots allocated for non resident. The sercurity guard did their job to wheel clamped his car and he argued with the guards and even call in the police. Please lah. just pay and F__k off. You know jolly well that you have done the wrong thing. Even if it is parking for a few minutes, you should park at the proper place. I doubt it is just for a few minutes as I know that the guards are not so on the ball. You even have the cheek to call for police. What you trying to do ? Calling the police and get your tax money back ? Or you are too fat that you cannot walk to the MSCP .... I really do not understand some people ...
  9. Hi all, I was having my dinner one night and this Toyota altis (goldish or silver, can't remember partly due to poor lighting) swerved and knocked my driver-side bumper and scratched the paint. The culprit came down, apologised and told me to repair and send bill to him. We exchanged contact numbers and I told him I will not anyhow kertuk him. Because of his demeanour (apologetic, soft-spoken), I thought he was equally gentleman. Hence I did not report to my insurance (mistake!!!). Anyhow, the repair bill is small (less than $200), but his attitude sucks! Now more than two months already, he shut off his phone, refused to pick up my calls or message. His details are: Toyota Altis SFZ 338T A certain
  10. Toyota added a sportier Toyota Corolla Altis with a 2.0 liter engine to its Corolla Altis line-up in Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines in mid 2009. According to a report on The Straits Times dated 13 Feb 2010, it looks like this new variant may make its debut in the Singapore market this year, together with a mid life facelift. The 3ZR-FE powerplant features Dual VVT-i (variable valves for both the intake and exhaust). The 2.0L engine is tuned for different outputs at different markets. For the Thailand market, which is more relevant to us, the dual VVT-I lump pumps out 140HP at 5,600 revs with 189Nm of torque at 4,400 revs. The beefier Altis also benefit from the addition of steering mounted paddle shifters and revised gear ratios. However, it is a pity that the ancient 4 speed auto transmission is still serving the 2L Altis, where its rightful place should be the museum instead. I am glad that Toyota replaced the chunky 4 spoke steering in the regular Altis with a sportier looking 3 spoke version. However, the paddle shifters are too long and skinny in my opinion and they stick out like sore thumbs. I am not sure of how relevant a 2L Altis would be for our market. A buyer looking for a sporty Japanese sedan would probably go for a 2L Civic instead, which is endowed with more adventurous styling. A normal Altis buyer looking for a comfortable 5 seater would probably not care so much about performance. Perhaps, Toyota should consider introducing the 1.6L Dual VVT-I unit for the Asean Altis. This 1.6L powerplant is currently utilised in the European Toyota Auris and produces 124bhp.
  11. Hi Bro, Toyota Premio & Toyota Altis Which One Will You Chose. Please give your suggestion. Thanks Regards aNTHONy
  12. Hi all, I just got an used Altis. Anyone who owns the previous model Altis (2004-2007 model) has installed the side mirror signal light? Any lobang and how much does it cost? Any recommendations of shop/sites that sells Altis accessories? Thank you.
  13. Taken from http://www.autoblog.com/2010/11/16/2011-to...-with-new-nose/ Looks much better.
  14. Dear fellow Forumers: Would like to engage your help. I'm currently driving a 1.6L '06 Toyota Altis (G9.5), the Gear for my model has a Shift Knob and an Overdrive Button on the Gearstick. For the 1.8L variant, they get the fanciful shift gears instead. Due to the limitations on the 1.6L Gearbox, we are unable to do direct changes to our gear knobs, but I've heard that it can be done by having a separate button for the Overdrive and doing some modifications (considered more on cosmetic) so that we can change our gear stick and knob. I've even seen a successful case of a complete change to the 1.8L type of Gear Shift, but it's just a cosmetic mod, not a gearbox change. Pictures are as follow: 1.6L Gear Converted to 1.8L style Gear Wonder if anyone has contacts or has any idea of any workshop that is willing to take up such a challenge. I am planning to change my gear stick and knob to the one below, while still retaining the original gearbox: Thanks ! Credits: Altis Group Singapore Forums

  17. Borneo Motors (Singapore) Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Inchcape Motors Pte Ltd, recently launched the New 2011 Corolla Altis 1.6-Litre with Dual VVT-i. With over 37 million units sold in 143 countries, the world's No. 1 has just got better with enhanced performance, better fuel efficiency and a new bold and stylish look. Together with improved levels of cabin comfort , quietness and engineered with Toyota's DNA of quality, durability and reliability, the new Corolla Altis promises a superior driving experience on the road. With that being said, the writers at sgCarMart could not resist the temptation of trying out the latest Toyota. Truth be told, it looks the same throughout, given the fact that changes were subtle. But it gives a totally different feel. It's more torquey and powerful than its specs suggest. Design The new Corolla Altis continually strives to be the leading sedan even after being one of the top-notch selling vehicles after 10 generations. Refined from inside out, the world's best selling car also comes with bolder and sharper looks. Featuring a new dynamic front grille with double concave lines, as well as sleeker headlamps and bumpers, looking sharp is part of being the world's best. Although Toyota said that with a wider rear and sportier design, the new Corolla Altis is designed to express a dynamic and sporty feel. But we feel it's more of the elegance than sporty as the Altis has a strong resemblance to its elder sibling, Camry. Refined Interior Nonetheless, the new car invites you into its bright and spacious cabin. You'll immediately appreciate its superior comfort and generous legroom, available both in front and rear seats. Convenient features are intelligently integrated into the stylish interior of the New 2011 Corolla Altis. They complement your journey by providing greater ease and functionality, all within your reach and a push of a button. 18. Quite surprised, the World's Best-Selling Car Corolla Altis EOL Both Toyota website and sgCarmart took out altis price list already http://www.toyotasingapore.com.sg/cars/new..._asia/price.asp http://www.sgcarmart.com/new_cars/newcars_....php?MOD=Toyota
  19. Hi all, I'm driving a 04 altis which has clocked 150K and yesterday, the ECT Pwr light is lighted up even though the button is not pressed and my engine light is on as well. Wonder if any bro driving altis faced a similar problem b4??? What could be the potential problem????
  20. To lady driver of white corolla altis SFU205** You almost cause an accident today along Dunearn Road towards city. You drove recklessly across 3 lanes from the left without checking your mirrors and came into my lane. I was just cruising on lane 1 and I had to whack my brakes so hard . Immediately I blasted the horn out of you and you just carried on totally ignorant of whats happening. Pls wake up and stop being a nuisance on the road ! To all female drivers out there, its okay to be slow but pls don't be reckless. think before you make a move.
  21. Any Altis drivers who has done up their ride? I am interested to do mine but do not know any place to go to. I see some badly done up bodykits that protrude above the surface of the existing stock bumpers. They are really bad workmanship. Some you can even see that it is not fully in contact with the bumper. The gap you can actually slot in a cashcard. Anyone who knows of any good installation places, with good workmanship and skill???
  22. It seems Indonesia and the Philippines are getting a sportier facelift for the Toyota Corolla Altis. After quietly debuting over in those countries in 2008, Toyota has now refreshed the exterior of the Altis with a new matt black lined grill/bumper arrangement, black-out lights and sportier looking alloy wheels. I suppose Toyota wants to get rid of that 'uncle' image its cars portray and maybe get the hip, youngish clientele that went for their Vios to come back for another Toyota when they get older. The fun thing about this Corolla Altis is that it now sports a power upgrade too. It now gets 120bhp and 154Nm from the 1.6liter 4cylinder engine instead of 107bhp and previously. The 2.0liter 4 cylinder also gets a boost in power; 145bhp over 135bhp. Too bad Toyota does not sell and market the 2.0liter over in Singapore and Malaysia (only a 1.8liter version above the 1.6liter version). It would be a fun car to drive, regardless of its frumpy 'unclemobile' image. Toyota credits a new induction system that allows more air into the combustion chamber which improves fuel consumption and power in the engines. The 2.0liter in the Philippines comes equipped with a CVT type transmission that comes with flappy pedals behind the steering. The 1.6liter over there comes with, get this, a 6 speed manual gearbox. Toyota is really making the Altis into a sportier creature. Sales in the Philippines begin in September of this year. And check out the fully tricked out version that was on display at the recent 2010 Indonesia International Motor Show below. Can we have these very sporty (compared to what we have) versions over here please? Source: motioncars/author's own
