  1. Hi there, During my Camry test drive, I was impressed by the anti-glare rear view mirror. Anyone knows if I can buy it off the shelf somewhere? This is definately a good protection against the ah-beng HIDs. Thanks.
  2. anyone know where to buy 1 set of these? 4 wheels
  3. 1. It seems like major cities in Europe, Paris, Netherland and etc are begining to ban SUVs from entering into cities. Some States in USA, car that is >3 tons are not allowed in cities' roads. This affects those big SUVs. 2. In Paris, the idea being that SUVs are incompatible with city life. They want to limit traffic to much smaller vehicles and provide more space for bike lanes and anything more environmentally correct. 3. In Netherland, a city counsel felt that SUV is merely serve as a status symbol for the owner. They are designed for off-road conditions, but they are not used as such. They consume a lot of fuel, pollute, clog up traffic and are hazardous for the other traffic as well as for the owners. Driving them is considered as antisocial behavior. Denying them parking spaces is the best way to prevent them driving around the city as they cannot be denied entry to the city at the moment. 4. What do you think, this trend will catch on in Singapore sooner or later? It seems like driving a car these days also have to shoulder some social responsibility. Regards,
  4. Hi guys, I'm not sure what to call it, but we know one of the brand is called RainX. Personally, I've tried a number of brands. All are crap. Rain droplets still stick on the window. I have a privacy glass, and somehow, the chemical doesn't seem to wipe on properly on the glass. But water sticks on it very well. I've used rain x, causes all my wiper to judder. I used this japanese brand (some orange and black bottle) which also doesn't seem to work. Autobacs sells SOOOO many different sorts! Anyone can input their experience ??
  5. Any bro can advise where to buy this special anti-theft nut set for the wheels that needed the adapter (that comes along when you buy the nut)to open the nut ? What price for a set of 4 ?
  6. Hi fellow comrades, Have been thinking about adding an after market anti roll bar to sharpen the handling of my spb. any recommendations? Lamy
  7. im driving a 1991 Nissan Presea. It has gone abit crazy since yesterday, the ABS warning light has been on for no reason whatsoever. Anyone has any idea what's wrong? Thanks!
  8. Hi, Just wondering.... Do all cars have/need anti-roll bars, for front and/or back? Don't seem to see them in some cars? Also, if I don't corner hard or at high speed, would a strut bar be of any use? Thanks!
  9. Eugene1 got his rear anti-roll bar installed and I believe its a damn good upgrade for all the starlet bros out there. You guys can ask him about it.
  10. My Anti-Slip mat lasted me 8 months before it partially melted on my dashboard. This is probably due to my ride being parked under for sun for 9 hours at my office daily. Anyone encountered melted anti-slip mat before? The transparent slimy remains kinda mildly messed up my dashboard. Tried spraying a lot of protectant and wiping it away, but still got a bit of mess left.
  11. hi, i'm thinking of getting the anti-roll bar from Ultra Racing (m'sian brand). the set up of the anti-roll (rear sway) bar is shown in the pics below: brand name and anti-malaysia sentiments aside ( ), can anyone comment if this anti-roll bar is any good? a friend has commented that this roll-bar won't be effective because it is not mounted to the underside of the chassis (it is just tied to the torsion beam using 2 metal braces) and hence it will not be rigid enough to be of any use.
  12. http://www.carbibles.com/snakeoil.html scroll down to the section on "The Infamous No Oil Demo". doesn't this demo feel reminiscent of a recent article in wheels asia? the no-oil drive to malaysia and back...
  13. OK there has been some products surfacing over the weekend and this prompts me say something. First of all, X-Rev. It is hard not to miss it because it has been going around in flyers on windscreens in Ikea's carpark. I point you to the website: http://www.x-lube.com/All%20frames.htm It touts the ZeroFriction formula. You know what the surprise is? It has been around. See this link: http://www.lubricants.co.uk/zerof_friction_reducer.html Quite similar to what this product touts: http://www.emtacorp.com/products/default.aspx A lot of fallacies are already evident in their website. I quote their FAQ. First of all, what is an effective lubricant? High performance cars? You mean sub-120bhp engined cars are high performance? Hot and humid? Since when does an engine mind "hot and humid"? Engines and their oil are extremely comfortable at such temperatures. It is only blizzard cold they start to cough and wheeze. The humidity does affect the oil in a way because this will increase oxidation. Engines are not humans and don't need air conditioning. Major oil companies interested only to sell petrol with increased fuel consumption in cars? Then they won't be selling 20 to 30wt oils and hide these from us! How about Amsoil, cxxxxxe, Royal Purple, Redline and Schaeffer's. They are not associated with any oil company. So they are also interested in increased fuel consumption?
  14. hi all experts out there, i am a dunno-nothing-about-car getting my first car (suzuki liana hatchback) on tuesday. sales rep asked if I want to take up their anti-rust and anti-bird sxxt ($300), and vkool solar film ($650). i hope to use my car for ten years. is the anti-rust really necessary? i hope to do long malaysia trips regularly. (once a month). does the solar film really make the car more comfortable? should i take up the champion motor offer or should I look else where? by the way, when i bought the car the sales-rep told me no need to do anti-rust because car is already "galvanised". no need solar film because the glass already "tinted". feel a bit lost now. :-))) thanks.
  15. Drek chan from Wise Club got his Rear Anti-Roll bar at RM150 from a Wira 1.6 Half Cut. To all Wira 1.5 owners: Our ride doesn't come with ARB. I have also installed mine recently. http://images4.fotopic.net/?iid=y7y4kz&outx=760&quality=70 http://images5.fotopic.net/?iid=y7y4ly&outx=760&quality=70 http://images1.fotopic.net/?iid=y7y4l1&outx=760&quality=70 http://images3.fotopic.net/?iid=y7y4ng&outx=760&quality=70

  18. I find that my side windows tend to fog very easily (on the outside). Is there any anti-fog cleaner for cars?
  19. Yesterday night , at about 10:30 pm ... I asked my wife to tell the maid to prepare the car washing pail with my new car shampoo (just bought about 3 days ago). Then I went inside to change and didnt hear what my wife told the maid. Once ready , I stepped outside and voila, the bubbly pail was ready for me. As I picked it up I thought .... manz this new car shampoo smells damn good !!! Not thinking anything about it , I carried the pail down go give TarzanBoy a good wash. Hence I carried on my washing with TarzanBoy as per normal .... until my neighbour driving a Hyundai Accent parked about 2 cars away. He came over .... wah brudder , so hardworking ah ?? Then he said, eh wat car shampoo u use ?? I said , this one I just bought dah .... smell nice right ? He looked at me and said ... how come your car shampoo smells like my hair shampoo REJOICE. Then I realised .... My wife told the maid "Prepare the car soap, sir wants to wash car. And sir says to use the new shampoo" My maid looked blur .... "use the new shampoo ??" she asked my wife again. Yes the one sir just bought. On that fateful day , I bought a new car shampoo and a new REJOICE hair shampoo. And she mixed the pail with the REJOICE shampoo. But wifey and me saw the funny side of things. Morale of the story : NEXT TIME MIX IT YOURSELF !!!
  20. A simple question for all. Are anti-roll bars normally mounted at the bottom of the car and strut bar at the suspension tower top ? Because I notice this thick bar holding both side of the engine bay (at the engine mounting height), but not on the top of the suspension tower, probably 10cm below. So, am curious if this is anti-roll bar or strut bar ???
  21. Hi, A few threads in this forum seems to suggest Zaino attract dust. But from www.cazcomp.com, here is part of the description for Z6 : "Super anti-static formula reduces dust and dirt pickup by up to 60%. " Anyone care to comment about Zaino dust-attraction level before and after Z6 ? THANKS !
