Watched plenty of war movies, most famous of course was Black Hawk Down, with the ubiquitous Humvee (actual abbreviation is HMMWV for High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle) seen all over the battlefield as the basic utility jeep for the US forces and then I saw this at a car park: Sua ku never seen this HUMMER H3 before but know that it was made by the same company that churns out the Humvees. From One Motoring website, read that this is a 3.653L monster jeep with a maximum laden weight of 2660 kg and unladen weight of 2231 kg. A petrol guzzler yes? Wonder what is its present OMV...

my car kenah a few spots abt 5 cents/10 cents coin size spots of concrete splattered from a construction site. initially, i thot cud get rid of it the next morning as it looked as it was gonna rain. but next morning, after rain, i find that the concrete spots has hardened and when i tried to wipe off a spot, i ended up scratching my door side panel !! anyone got experience removing such spots DIY ? ... now i also dun dare to wash my car for fear of scratching it more when washing the spots.

i hope somebody can share his experience with me on this. i wanted to enrol my son to NAFA school for his diploma next year. I know we can use our ordinary acct for our child's education loan. but my ordinary acct is drained and my monthly contribution goes to my housing loan. next chance is my special acct. so i wrote to CPF board to see if i could use my special acct. replied from CPF below so my question is, anyone tried seeing their MP and could get special arrangement? or heard of any successful story pertaining to this type of scenario? my credit rating no as good, i think i cannot borrow from bank. thanks for reading.

Hi anyone knows where to get good workmanship of repairing chipped windscreen (Front) Ok you may wanna ask me why dunwan go claim insurance, the reason is becuz for AIG it cost $100 to change and does not include the solar films, solar film company wanna charge me $200+ for the front only. So total damage will be about $400 after GST. If you know any shop or FL that can do a good job, do let me know. Thanks alot.

just came back from pump (Cal***). although my windscreen is visibly dirty due to monday's rain, the uncle and his fellow attendant rather stand and talk to each other. i think for the past few years, i dun rem such a service anymore. how i miss those days when pump prices were $1.00 only and all the uncles will not hesitate to clean windscreen, ask if wan check water la... does any bro here still enjoy such service? which brand and where? im just curious to see if this is altogether dead...thanks. -
Back then, was it awkward especially in the first 3 months in jc ? Think some schools had that policy lol.

Recently my "long lost fren" suddenly contact me say she is from herbalife... drink some powder drink can be healthy and slim down... went to search... seems like lots of supporters... even messi ,FC barcelona... i think beckham's galaxy FC.... lots of online video about how ppl were crazy over it... some video looks like those SUNSHINE empire promo video where thosand of ppl like look at their founder talk all those... dance.... so question is.. anyone have experience with it??? looks like MLM to me.. but .. wow... messi and barcelona???

In my 30s now. Contemplating doing lasik after wearing contact lens for nearly 20 years. My eye seems to get dry easily irritable compared to when I first started wearing lens. Am concerned that Lasik may only offer benefits of a few years beyond which old age problems like Astigmatism or "Lao Hua" etc will still set in thus rendering lasik a temporary solution. Anyone with lasik experience and you are in your late 30s or 40s ? Pls share. Thanks.

Tempted by the used RS3 (not the new one, too ex for me). Anyone here owns or used to own one? Never had an RS car so a bit worried about crazy maintenance (esp the DQ500 and the Haldex). I am prepared for more expensive maintenance compared to other cars but its the time factor if the damn car needs workshop visits every other month. Anyone?

Recently ive been considering upgrading my older system at home and i have finalised my upgrade selection. Im getting a Sony VW95ES and either a Marantz AV 7005 and MM7005 or LX-85. I considered the yamaha aventage 3010 but I found in reviews thats its lacking compared to the Pioneer LX-85. Problem is that pioneer is made in malaysia so i not so sure... Any bros have any comments on the above models?
