Hello people, anybody know where i able to purchase the battery head inorder for me to install additional HVS lug; grounding lug on to the battery head as the current stock is so short in which i'm unable to tighten them. or any better suggestions/advise. thank you

Yo bros... Recently changed my car's battery (22 months from time I picked up the car - warning indicator on the maintenance free battery already show white colour) to another maintenance free one. Question - noticed from my voltmeter reading that the voltage drops frequently to below 12.5 - even lower than my original old and worn out stock. Especially when I stop at traffic lights and leave the gear engaged. It's worse when the headlamps are on. Only jumps back up to 13 plus when I shift to neutral. Sometimes see that even when the car is on the move, as I accelerate from stop. I've tried with and without HVS - same problem. Could it be the battery is faulty (but no problems starting in the morning, and the starter motor turning sounds seem ok), or rated too low for my car ?

I've a full size 65Ah battery that I am seeking to swap with a smaller size battery, coz need the extra space for new project It's changed on Sept'2003, and seeking a similar age battery.

I've just installed a voltmeter and it shows 13.x to 14 during driving. However, I notice that when picking up from stop at traffic light, sometimes it'll drop to 12V holding consistently until I reach cruising speed... why is this so ?

may i know is there any guage can help to check the battery water. I'm not sure when should i top up the battery water, when I open the battery cap, I can't tell whether the water is low or not

Just wanna find out, how long did yr last battery last u? Pls put down the brand too, if possible. Asking coz a fren S'pore told me the Japanese batts there easily last 6-8 yrs (which I kinda doubt)... while the average lifespan of the batts here in M'sia is only around 2 to 2.5 yrs, or less, if heavily used.

Hi guys, i think i may have to change my puny battery to a higher rating one? Anyone know of the correct rating to get for the Corolla G9 to match the alternator? 60A? I prefer maintenance free ones. Heard Optima, Hoppecke are not bad.... Any recommendations for the correct one to use and the place to get them? Thanks.....

Want to check with you guys, will battery water corrode my paint work? I notice that my battery seems to be leaking, and i also realise the paint work inside the bonnet near the battery all different color, as if stained with something... Dun know isit that the battery water really so powerful to corrode it.. Pls advise!!!!

Hi everyone, Dunno if this question has been asked before, but is there a sure way to tell whether it is time for a battery change before the battery completely fails on you? Measure with voltmeter across the terminals?

My battery is believed to be spec-ed at 12V 65Ah (or 70Ah) while my previous original battery is 12V 45Ah. My Alternator is 12V 90Ah. Is this sufficient ?

What will happen when we use tap water into the battery box instead of battery water? My battery water was on the low side, then my dad pour in the bottle of mineral water he was holding into the battery box. Stop him!But he say its alright, then LL have to listen to him . WHY?( cos he paid for the ride).How? Will it damaged my battery or not? wahahha... Pls advise!!!!

i need ur kind expertise here.......i recently changed my car battery to the maintainance free type. after i drive for a month or so.....the battery died on me in JOHOR!!! wah liow...panic like what!!!! luckily being an ex saf driver i know what to do.....push start liow....... it works ......after reaching sg safely i checked and realise that the battery has go bust.......i prick open the covering and there was no battery water left. i gingerly top up with battery water and my car cranks up okay....so now my maintainance free battery become need to maintain battery. i checked in with the battery shop and he show me that the alternator is overcharging the battery thus leaving it dry.....i look and checked the voltmeter and see that the reading really goes to beyond 16volts so he confirmed that my alternator need changing.... any of u guys has the same problems....any lobang to share?

Intend to leave country for about 10 days..was told to disconnect battery terminal to prevent battery from being flat by the time i returned... Will the engine computer settings be affected? Are there anything I must do,besides connect the terminal back to the battery? Pls advise....thks

My battery just died...cannot even crank the car... so I changed to a new one myself. After changing new battery, car can start perfectly on first crank....but then...car remote cannot work...central locking also cannot work. Took out the Stinger Alarm main unit...see see look look...unplug and plug in all wires...still cannot. Tried to reset the alarm...manual say press reset switch 3 times, etc, but cannot find reset button on the main unit.... Does the central-lock depend on the functionality of the alarm? Sian...now got 3 things to fix liao...cracked windscreen, remote and central lock...zzzzz Want to change car when my OMV for this year finish in 8 month's time...scrap this one and get a new corolla -
wats the difference between a normal battery & dry-cell battery?? dry-cell is definately maintenance free rite? and somemore got difference voltage, wat diff does it make?? does a good battery have anything to do with better performance? better ignition??? any bros out there can enlighten?? thanks in advance.

I've the original battery from Honda and it is supposed to be maintenance free. However, on the battery, there is a window which says that IF I see BLUE, it's ok. If I see red, it needs to be topped up with battery water ! Recently, I vaguely sees a bit of red, so am wonder if I am supposed to "add battery water" to the maintenance free battery ? BTW, the battery top up holes are covered (as usual) and there's a tape that "loosely seal them up" .... Just wondering. -
Hi guyz, do you know how to check if a battery is maintenance free or not? I changed about 1/2 year ago, being topping up regularly by the month, but got a funny feeling it is maintenance free...(can shot me if you want cuz I have no idea about batteries) The brand of the battery is Mareg Die Batterie, the guy who installed it only tell me make in Germany....he also blur blur

Damn siow...recently had accident. Then after repair, my battery die flat. Need to change and cost me S$120 (exclude S$20 for NTUC workshop people to jump start). BTW, quite difficult to find Skoda battery as our seem to be a high amp type. Spec is 65 amp. Most battery usually come in 55 amp. So Skoda owner check your battery. Call Czech Auto for help but once they heard is a 1 year old car they sian liow...(becoz not buy from them.) Ask me to tow car to them and never offer any other assistance. BTW, I also encounter the POWER STEERING WARNING light. Intermitten, any owner face similar problem?

Hi all, I just took a look at e battery terminals of my stock 3.5yr old NS55L battery. There's a thick layer of powdery green iron(2+) deposit at the +ve terminal. The battery was never over-filled. What's wrong?

Fact or Myth? A bigger car battery is better for the car than your normal car battery? I read about it somewhere before but forgot about it. Of course your engine compartment need to have space for the bigger battery
