  1. Hi All, Proud owners of Airwave! Please contribute your views on this car!
  2. Am still searching for that calling... the one thing that matters most in life. You get up each day looking forward to engross yourself in that particular life pursuit. Like the saying goes... Do what you love each day and you'll never have to work a single day.
  3. dear drivers, I was hit (black honda civic) on my right bumper at the junction of outram road and eu tong sen street at 630pm today. I was on the 2nd lane from the right. A bronze colour sedan (likely to be a hyundai or Toyota) behind me tried to lane change to the right to make a right turn. The driver hit my right rear bumper and moved off. As the traffic light has already turned red, I couldn't give chase. If you happen to be at the junction and has a video footage of the incident, pls pm me. Thank you.

  5. Aljunied GRC will be the most hotly contested and closely watched GRC in this election. Like everyone else, I am eager to see the support level. For those qualified to vote in Aljunied GRC, will you be supporting WP in this coming election? For accuracy sake, please DO NOT VOTE if you are not qualified to vote in this GRC.

  11. I was reading about Nanolubricant (Tungsten disulfide) with great interest. Just to quote from Car Bibles: "The idea is that unlike oil, the nanolubricant never wears down; it is permanent and requires no maintenance. Theoretically, a nanolubricant can be used for various friction reducing applications, such as on the outer coating of ships and planes to reduce water and air friction, respectively. If you're that way inclined, think of what it could do to the sex toy industry.... The powder will eventually stand on its own as a lubricant, however Applied Nanomaterials realizes that recognition of the technology requires collaboration with lubricant manufacturers as an additive to existing lubricants. The problem of course is that if this lubricant never needs changing, anyone who decides to mass manufacture and market it is going to lose a chunk of revenue - once you dump it in your engine, you never buy any more. Great for you and me, bad business model for the company who dares to market it." Source: Car Bibles The Israeli company, ApNano has started to market their product Nanolub and reported test and positive results here: ApNano The powder form is also sold here: Nanolubricant In one extreme test, nanotechnology-based lubricant continues to lubricate even in severe oil loss scenarios. This sounds like a great product, is it true or marketing hype?
  12. To All JB Grocery Shoppers, My kids frequently cough and have phlegm (once every 2 weeks) due to allergies and about a month back, I started them on goat milk and their situation have improved. My kids love the goat milk sweets as well. The brand of Goat Milk & Sweets is called Karihome, imported from M'sia and distributed here by the same co. but it is pretty expensive, S$48 for 900gm & Assorted Sweeties 200's is S$19.90. I suppose it should be cheaper if I get it from JB, anyone knows the pricing? TIA!
  13. OK I am still smarting from the Liverpool defeat but I am consoled that Liverpool got kickoff from the second position to thiird. Ok sorry Liverpool fans, that not the purpose of this thread. A lot of my ex-schoolmates are football kakis. they could be lurking(like DOM) inside here . I am trying to start a thread to see if any of them are here and we could have a reunion of sort. Maybe some of you may also benefit too even we may not be from the same school, WTH! I will try to start the ball rolling; my storey My school is one of the renown footballing school, SJI at Bras Basah Rd. I am a late-starter for this game simply cos I was introduced to it when I started my secondary education in SJI. By then most of my classmate were from St Anthony's and St Michael, they were always talking about Liverpool and Kevin Keegan. My English stars then were Peter Shilton(Stoke City) and Billy Bremer(Leeds United). I do not remembered how I started with Man U. My father introduced me to Malaya Cup at Jalan Besar. I was drawn to the goalkeeping position by the local stars like Gopalsamy, Lee Bee Seng then. Let see if I can find any ex-classmate here. We parted in 1975. I hope you can find your ex-classmate too.

  16. The 2.2" wheel center caps on Suzuki Swift 15" stock sports rim seem to break quite frequently. They are made of plastic with 4 (plastic) clips to hold them in place. I have replaced 6 wheel center caps in past 5 months... each costing around SGD 14.00. Initially I though they were stolen (when I found them missing)... but later on I realized that the plastic clips are weak and they break easily... the wheel center cap becomes loose and then falls off. I spoke to the service center, and was told that they have not heard of such complains from other Suzuki Swift Owners. Does anyone have the same problem? Also, I am using ArmorAll wheel cleaner, do you think it could affect them? I do not see any visible signs of degradation/damage on the wheel caps after using the wheel cleaner.
  17. Any Subaru Forester Owner in this forum... ? Do you know what size of our Mid speaker @ rear cargo space
  18. Hi, Having some trouble deciding between the Dunlop SP Sports MAXX and Goodyear F1 GS-D3 (German). Appreciate if users of the Dunlop could help out with their comments here. I guess the Goodyear F1 GS-D3 (German) is well known and well-respected so that would be a safe choice, but was wondering if the Dunlop could meet the challenge. My main considerations would be wet and dry grip and I driving a S80. TIA

  21. Dear Fellow MCF Gurus, Intro myself, I am a skeptic who do not trust commercial easily, I have bought products that does not work and it is absolutely a waste of money ... I am very sure that many of the BRO/Sis here who have bought car products that does not work and later you guys worry about these products will have any negative side effects on your precious car, Whenever you check back with the sales rep of respective companies... they will assure you that it will not happen..... BASE on WHAT!, only their words !? Therefore I am starting a test campaign myself, because I want to know. I am calling our for fellow Car lover's support. The Test result will be posted after it has been tested. I do not think it is wise to trust the commercials.... , so called their claim of dyno test of anything.... they all tested by Their companies so what if they have tested and have posted their dyno test, on their website... They are just trying to promote their products only. I dun think Pivot even have a DYNO test. I am curious and cautious therefore I do a personal project, using my own car or some of my friend's car ... to go DYNO myself... I really want to see .. if the products has been BULL SH**ing or even OVER - CLAIMED. I will hereby request for all the fellow brothers/ sisters in MCF if 1 could borrow their VS. I am paying for the DYNO... man .. can only do it part by part. Perhaps monthly or fortnightly a TEST result.... Dyno is real Expensive. Sorry guys, I cannot afford to buy all the products and test it and pay for the DYNO. For instance MAX zone GT is $288. I can do a few DYNO test with that kind of money. The price for a DYNO test is ard $100 plus / hr. I am requesting to borrow the following product below, and I will return it immediately once the test is over. Owner of products can witness dyno test with me. 1) Violence VS 2) Pivot Razin 3) Maxzone GT 4) D1 Spec VS 5) RMK VS 6) Hot InaZma 7) EZ - Stab EXTREME 8) ADM Power pass 9) Power Max Version R I am going to test for BHP gain. Will post the DYNO test result for all to see. I have beginning to feel cheated by all these VS, some of them even claim that they can have 20HP gain. Any brothers/sisters willing to Lend their gadgets for testing? Sorry man i am paying for the test fee out of my own pocket. Will not accept any sponsorship by any commercial companies. Cheers Gimmy Ong
  22. Any advice on the situation below I am on a maxonline contract till Jan 08 Currently i am paying $70 Plus dollars for a premium 12mbps plan the thing is i was told that after my contract ends my price will go up to $80 plus dollars ! what's really ridiculous about this is that new customers are now paying $65 and me being a long time customer of starhub (10 years) have to pay more - this really takes the cake. the only way for me to enjoy a lower price is to take up the laptop promotion and pay $65 a month and get bonded to a 2 year contract. the thing is firstly i do not wish to be bound down by a contract. secondly i already have 3 laptops and 2 desktops (some which are relatively new and more branded than the compaq ones being offered) at home and do not need any more computers at home which will probably end up as a white elephant - nothing worse for tech equipment to end up as white elephants due to the fast depreciating nature of such items. if i opt to recontract and sell the laptop - noting the abundance of sellers of this laptop model i doubt that i will even get a good or fair price which means i am better off keeping the white elephant anyway. i have asked the customer service if there is an option to lower my subscription price to that of $65 after the end of my contract - the answer was - impossible. seems like starhub is trying to force its customers to sign contracts. anyone with experience on what happens after your MOL contract ends and etc care to share how i can approach this to get an equitable consumer deal. I do not wish to pay $299 and be bound to a contract for 2 years just to enjoy equitable pricing. to make things worse - i know i can t compare but we are still having one of the highest broadband prices in the region - despite singapore being a technology hub - in malaysia a similar plan costs RM 80 and in hk and korea you can get unlimited broadband for $20 plus SGD. the only plan starhub has in this price range is the 1 mbps plan but judging from how shitty the connection is at times on maxonline premium 12 mbps, i suspect the 1 mbps plan will be a disaster. help anyone.
  23. As per subject, got some queries which I need some answers to. Appreciate those in this line full-time to PM me. TIA.
