hi all, my friend is hovering ard the idea of getting himself declared as a bankrupt as he cant afford repayments over his loans..could i jus enquire if his car can be trf to his dad wout his dad incurring his loan as it's still under the term loan as he jus bought it 6mths ago..he dont wan to lose it as he spend quite some money on refurnishing it though..any advices? thks on behalf of my friend..

Just wondering if the Golf GTI is considered an ah beng racer nowadays? Very sad if true because this is one of my favourite cars. If a car gets labelled as ah beng racer,does that mean insurance will shoot sky high? I heard that insurance for WRX is $3~4k??

I am planning to spend a few months in Malaysia. Can anyone advise me how long can I drive my Singapore-registered car in Malaysia? I have checked with LTA; there is no problem on their side be it for normal cars or OPC cars. They have no idea regarding the laws & regulations on the Malaysian side. Do I have to pay to drive my Singapore-registered car beyond a certain duration??

Hi guys this is a newbie question. I intend to buy a COE civic car. For example this car http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...977&DL=1122 So the coe is until 2019 Price is 29K So its about 9 years left. Can i instalment up to 9 years? Until the COE finish? I understand the downpayment is from 500 to 2000 depends on the shops. But for COE car i dont know how long can the instalment stretch up to. Thanks!

Seen a few old cars on the road lately, like Datson 120Y wagon, and a early 80's Toyota Corolla sedan. But this is much more rare. Guess what car is that? Those born in the 70's or earlier should know.

Looking at the rate the COE increases, I don't think I can afford when my COE expires in 2yrs time..... That means I can only scrap the car. But I am unwilling to part with the car. That only leaves me one path....... Hopefully, I won't have to go that way then.....

Hi, recently my dad has retired and has pass the usage of the family car to me. What should I do to "take over" the car? Including the bank loan and stuff.. Do I look for LTA or the bank that is financing the car? What is the procedure? Thanks in advance! =)

Our car price is expensive due to the many formulas used to calculate based on OMV of a car. This causes the car to sell at a very high price in Singapore. Anyone knows which country sell more than here?

Do you pick an auspicious day to collect your car? Do you avoid buying car during 7th month? Do you have a lucky car colour that matches your ba gua? Do you try to avoid "X" and "4" on your car plate? Are there some cars you avoid because they sound unlucky? (KIA = Killed in Action, Suzuki = lose it all) I don't bother that much unless the symbolism is very obvious. (for eg, SGH 164X). My SE asked if I wanted to bid for a car plate. I joked that I am not fussy unless the number is something like 4444. To my suprise, she said people actually bid for that number!

i have added lights to my car, door knobs, under bonnet, under car, interior also changed the sound system with a woofer in the boot, loud enough to blast techno up to a few meters away yet my friends say my car not beng enough wonder what else should i do 1 of my friends suggest to repaint to purple or yellow color my car changed seats to racing seats and adding turbo soon what else can i do to make it look more fierce?

I have a question. I paid my car last week. The agent said i can get my car this week. My question is how did they manage to do it? I was told by my colleagues that it takes two weeks to get a license number. I wonder if my agent just wants to get my $$$ - that is, her commission. -

Recently checking with 3 colleagues and was shock that they only tested once when they bought their current car (first). When decided to buy then test, then latter realised it is under power. Even see see doesn't mean u understand the car. For me, even if there is not particular car in mind, I will still go for a test ride, especially if it is a new model. It is a good overview of whats current market can offer,and to avoid disappointment with the purchase. It is good to have some test ride b4 1 decide to sign on the dotted line, I have been hearing bro regret with their purchase. So ppl think it is cheating if test already don't buy,feel like it's the comsumer is the victim most of the time.

Call Now. COE $3,200 OMV $31,547 what struck me was the extremely low COE, hence translating to an extremely low paper value. What then would be the appropriate offer he should make? A Paper+body quote would obviously be a very low offer, while something depreciation-based as the dealer would wish would be too much to pay...

No matter in highway or normal street, my car always keep to left. I did wheel balancing and wheel alighnment. tire air pressure checked. also recently change tires. Pls advise.

Just curious, what is the shortest duration ever for yourself, in which you have bought a car and sold the same car? and why? (if its really short). Mine, shortest ever was 13months.. 1 year just to roughen the edges because just passed last time lol -

Last time people like to paste big big stickers on their cars that said SOHC or DOHC. There was a time when many cars would have a tiger tail dangling out the boot. White used to be the colour for private Mercedes. This died almost overnight when the taxis came along.
