I heard of cases where the car infront roll back abit on a slippery carpark slope then hit the car behind. Any tips on not to rollback? Manual car that is.. My friend told me, he was quite stressed driving up then stop because the carpark was pretty crowded... And anytime the car can just rollback and hit the car behind.. Die die must use the handbrake method to move off? I always use the footbrake and half clutch method..

jus now around 5pm i was travelling along adam/lornie rd towards thomson. came to this traffic junction, n when i saw the red lights gonna turn red, instinctly, i stepped on my accelerator. before reaching the red lights, i saw on the other side of adam/lornie (towards bukit timah) had red light cameras! n before i realised any further, my car already sped past the red lights. But i didnt see any flash, nor i didnt notice any red light cameras on the side of the road i was driving (i cant be 100% sure though...) was wondering if my car get caught by the red light camera, will there be flash during day time? or any bros here know if the side i was driving on got any red light camera? thxx

I was in the process of applying for something important. Then, one part of the application required a guarantor for an amount of somehere 70,000 sgd. I had an unpleasant shock... because the staff in charge didn't inform me of that and gave me only like 3 days to find a guarantor for that amount. So, I checked out my phone list to find someone. One cousin agreed to be my guarantor. But, on that evening before the day we went down to the office, she backed out and excused herself due to last min recall from office. Another friend didn't reply my sms once I asked him if he could be guarantor. It was a frantic search.... then finally I stopped... because I realised that when I needed help, many people don't seem to be there. It seem like people are no longer as helpful. When u need help, they are somehow unavailable. When times are good, they appear. I needed help badly and also because the application was for something very impt (shall not elaborate what it is). My point in this thread is, have a look at who are your real good friends when you are in sh*t, because during good times you will never be able to see their true colors. You cannot tell who you can depend, until sh*t happens. Be wise and be generous only to those who willingly stand by you. Its true also, people look after their a$$ first... then their buddies. So look after your own a$$ 1st, even if your buddy is in sh*t.

http://my.break.com/content/view.aspx?Cont...928&ref=track15 WARNING GRAPHIC: In 1977 Tom Pryce struck Jansen Van Vuuren as Vuuren was running across the track to help put out the fire on another racers car. Both Pryce and Vuuren were killed instantly. Vuuren split into half by the impact of the hit and Pryce, nearly decapitated by a fire extinguisher.

Today heard over the radio many accidents occurred during the heavy downpour. Was driving along SLE towards CTE around 4.30pm and traffic was still ok but suddenly, all vehicles came to a complete stop. inch my way forward and saw quite a few cars are involved. i think a pickup spin out of control and the cars behind couldnt stop on time. Bang... bang... bang...... Pls drive carefully and keep a safe distance esp during wet weather.

With all the new hikes, such as CBD charges of $3 and 35% of the total fare. Would you still take cab or take cab from elsewhere to save the 35% and $3? Comfort is just creating more problems after this hike but will earn alot fr it as well.

Yesterday afternoon was pouring very very heavily. Was driving and just do not understand why 90% of the cars on the road just refuse to turn on headlight. I'm quite sure that most MCF ppl will turn on headlights (MCF ppl are simply different from ppl outside). what are the reasons that ppl does not turn on headlights during heavy rain. 1) save battery 2) save petrol 3) do not want ppl to see u as "chicken" 4) what other reasons?

Hi Guys I just had my Swift on 31/8/07 and had clocked abt 7K so far. Alhough my servicing for 3 years are labour cost free, they are charging me $60 for mineral oil + filter and $95 for syntectic oil + filter. So I asked if I could bring my own instead, the person told me that they will charge me $20 for the labour fee. I am puzzled. Wasnt it supposed to be labour fee free?

Hi guys, 1. With reference to this thread at http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Stupid_Civ...053609/#2053609. 2. It is not an offence to use hazard light during adverse weather condition. So just vote YES or NO on whether you think it should be use or not. Thank you. Regards,

What Do you really do to while away time during severe traffic jams? I read my papers or smoke a cig. Today at the infamous Macpherson Jam, got this lady (quite chio) in a white Aveo was digging her nose furiously. That spark me off to re-Start this topic. What do you guys do? http://kcarclubsg1975.spaces.live.com/
