Extracted from www.mrbrown.com I took a Silver Arrow cab recently and I have to say, their new Skodas are very nice. They are way more spacious than they look from the outside and the driver who drove me told me something interesting about the cars they use. Apparently, these Skodas are 2.5 litre diesels with a Turbo engine. You heard right, Turbo. I believe they are the only cabs in town that have a turbocharger. "Once, there was this Mercedes cab at the airport, cut my lane dangerously, so I overtook him," the driver told me. "He tried to follow, and I let him. Just when he pulled up next to me, I tapped my accelerator and left him eating my dust. Hahaha!" He went on to tell me how new drivers to the Skodas tend to get caught for speeding, because the cars have so much power and are so fun to drive. "These days, when other cabs see our silver Skodas coming in their rear view mirrors, when we're on expressways, they just get out of the way, because they know our cars can run."

Today was heading straight after traffic light at cross junction turns green...i jam accel first on the 2 way lane in front...i was on first lane. The legacy is on 2nd lane and in front of it..there's lorry stopped at the 2nd lane. After i moved for 2 second...this legacy flew past me and overtake me....wahz...just wanna kw how fast is the legacy...

This morning on my way to work towards tampines along PIE, after bukit timah, I can see from my rear mirror a white 3 digit Aveo was cutting in and out of traffic at high speed. Car dont look Heong, but driver super Fierce man! Overtook me on my left and squeeze in between me and a cab. It Must be a RACE man! But to my dismay, he is racing with himself! Traffic got heavier and Aveo got stuck behind a Cefiro. Aveo's left tyres was touching the road divider markings on his left, waiting for a chance to overtake the Cefiro on from his left! Aveo is reali sticking his nose into Cefiro's bumper man! All the way till before the ERP gantry before steven road exit, it is just a accident in the making since the beginning! Cefiro have to stop as the car infront of him jammed his brakes, Aveo just WACK into the rear of Cefiro! Can see bits of plastics flying man! I am glad both drivers are fine but someone could have been hurt man if you are reading this, Aveo, dont drive like that lah, should leave our skills with us till there is a legal race track for us to show our skills..... anyway glad no one was hurt...

Not sure to put under complaints or race. Oh well, here goes. There was a road hogging silver Hyundai Sonata on lane one last night and I was late for appt as it is. Darn, I was getting a bit pissed off (ok lah, I was totally getting cheesed off by that guy). So I signalled, tap a little highbeam, but to no avail. He's still doing 80 on a 90kmh road with clear traffic in front of other cars of similar speed to his left. As the opportunity opened up, I overtook him on the left, boosting to get ahead of him. Guess what he does? I think he TC'ed his Sonata cos he was coming right up my rear end with his blue fog lamps on, as I saw my own needle climb at exponential rates. I kept to the first lane (was already speeding actually), but I think he figured it was a race. Duh So he started to weave in and out of traffic to get ahead of me. I slowed down as traffic got heavier and heavier. At the entrance of the SLE from the BKE, he was blocked by two vans and he couldn't do much. I was along his side. As we both climbed that slope, I just accelerated at my normal rate (TC helps in accelerating up slopes), and there he was coming for my rear end again, before zig-zagging in and out of traffic. So he got pretty far ahead of me, but he had to exit at Mandai, and so did I. Eventually, he had to stop at a red light (headed towards Yishun Dam), while I turned left along Sembawang Road towards my destination. Conclusion:- I think your car is really fast, congrats on being able to accelerate with me I think your car is illegally modified with a TC (oppps) I think you should SWITCH ON your headlamps, not just your fog lights I hope you don't end up smashing or side-swiping some other car in your "races" In the end, nobody wins anyway Personal Note:- I was not trying to race you. I'm LATE for appt and you were road hogging. Street Racing is DANGEROUS and ILLEGAL. See you during PG night sprints, not on the steets. It's not about balls of steel, but plain common sense that I didn't race you.

Spotted a fast and furious blue skoda superb (SFR 7***) with decal along BKE and going onto PIE(Changi) @ around 6pm. Cool ride, didn't expect your superb could pick up so fast even at expressway speeds [laugh]

met this 10 fast 10 furious 10-wheeler on AYE this morning.... Was bringing my sis to TC auto clinic to service her father in law car..... she was travelling behind me around 3-4 car length in lane 2, when this 10 wheeler filter out from lane 3 and stuck between mi and my sis.... i;m bit of pissed off and also cannot see my sister, thus i slowed down....turning out soon ma.....was around 60km/h... this 10 wheeler tailgated me so close for quite a distance....and traffic was cleared on lane 1...he filtered out..attempting to overtake me....... hoho..i sped up.....till around 100km/h where he's still on my right.....and when he knows he has no chance of overtaking me and jus stay behind me and smell my smoke, he filtered back to lane 2......blocking mi and my sis again.... reach destination le i filtered left to exit highway....this 10 wheeler flashes his high beam at me.. imagine a TP was behind.....how many charges would he face?? any reviews on my act?

Hi,i'm new here. Visited this forum for a while reading & gaining knowledge for a while.Just few days ago got a shock of my life. Was travelling on sg rd.Was side by side with my friend at a traffic light around town area when a volkswagen van came to a stop on my right,1st lane. Never really noticed as its a van. I rev as i was playing with my friend on my left played with me. When the green light "on". To my surprize, the van actually wheel spin & move off...I and my friend just floor acc but could not even reach it(2 cars length away).OMG...Only to stop side by side at the next traffic light.This time, we were well prepared, thinking to give that van a lesson, but when the green "on" again, that van just jump out & move forward tires screech at 2nd gear i think,lots of black smoke though.I was speechless... Just will like to gain some knowledge about the volkswagen van. Made a search on the net but came out with another caddy model.Not then one i saw half car/van caddy.Its that van really so powerfull? I'm driving a 2nd hand honda civic,0-100km is definetely about 7-8sec..so thet van 0-100km is less than that? volkswagen that caddy possible? Any advice is greatly appreciated, would really like to know more bout that van.Its amazing. Think that van is lowered,but definetely had tinted windows and lots of smoke.

Not in malaysia, but in singapore expressways. I know the speed limit is usually abt 90km/h. But thats not the case always. How fast have you travelled on S'pore's expressways?

What makes a fast car? Or what makes a fast driver? Fundamentally, every thing in the laws of physics are relative. In order to be fast, you have to be moving somewhere. In order to be fast, you have to be quicker than someone else. In order to be fast, someone has to affirm your speed with properly calibrated equipment. Take for example today, during the wee hours in the morning when I was trying to send my friend home quick. On Lornie Road towards Bradell, I met with a 40-ish looking gentlemen in a 325 sedan. The lights turned green and away he went. 325 IS quick! Within a minute he disappeared round the rolling crest leaving me in the centre lane alone. He was fast, no less than 130 kph. As verified by a young chap, sitting on the railings in the dark. That young chap had all the right equipment and motivation. Round another rolling crest, blinking lights and a party awaited to funnel the traffic to the right most lane. Well, I can't say I'm unhappy I wasn't invited. I was obviously too slow. Like I said, everything is relative. Someone has to be slower, if someone had to be faster. Mister Fast has obeyed all the 3 rules required for that exclusive invitation. Good luck, Mister Fast. Hope things will work out well for you. Once again, Panda got lucky with good animal instincts. Technically I broke the law at 83 on Lornie. But hey, its two in the morning with no cars around. Even I do feel its kinda wierd.

Just spotted a Fast and Furious Octy with license number SDX7**6P dark color along AYE towards Jurong... Using the normal route home, I follow the car which filter out to Clementi Ave 6 heading towards PIE Jurong passing through ave 6... Woo, the car is travelling fast man...

Hi All, The water in my reserve tank drain up very fast. Sent to mechanic and check there is no leak, temperature did not went up. Any 1 know any problem. WAter pump leaking? Check but did not fid any. Pls advice.

Just another observation about certain drivers that I just love to poke at these past few days... I noticed that around corners and bends... eg. BKE exit to PIE (eastbound)... sometimes when I overtake a taxi with the fellow on my right... and I pull ahead of him (or her ), they'll normally high-beam at me... damn irritating at night... Now this has gotten me thinking about previous scenarios about taxis cutting fast in front of me or pushing me out of my lane... Frankly, I think they're just sore losers at "street racing"... come on, I'm not even gunning to race them, just merely OVERTAKING them... and they can't stand to "LOSE"... Taxi companies out there - your drivers are now not only reckless in my book, but they're also sore losers... A few exits I can think of where the taxis simply hate to "LOSE"... KJE entry into BKE northbound KJE entry into BKE southbound - taxis don't try me or prepare to eat railguard BKE exit to PIE eastbound - watch it you taxis, don't you know there's a speed trap??? BKE exit to PIE westbound SLE westbound exit to BKE southbound - don't you taxis even dream of cutting me last min, you basically CAN'T... hahahah BKE northbound entry to SLE eastbound - try eating me on the merging lane and I'll let you eat railguard once again PIE westbound entry to CTE northbound with merging lane - don't you taxis dare try to eat me on the right inside lane, or prepare to have your right wing mirror replaced CTE westbound exit to Havelock Road - I don't think you taxis can hold that corner at that speed, so DON'T even think of trying Be a safe "racer" and don't try stupid stunts just cos you're trying to send your customers "faster" to their destination / quickly go and change shift... cos one fine day, you're gonna meet me on the streets and I ain't gonna let you "win" with your "dirty" driving habits

Saw a pretty fast Lexus today along AYE towards Keppel Road around 1245pm. SDD??M Had a hard time chasing up. Nice car! Darn fast too. Wonder what kind of steroids you feed to your car!
