Parry Liu, a foreign student from Beijing, China currently studying at the National University of Singapore (NUS), on Tuesday published a controversial comment regarding Singaporean students. On the popular Chinese social networking platform Ren Ren, Parry Liu posted in Chinese, "There is a lesson we can learn from the recent Singapore vs China soccer match -- and we can apply that into our (university) final exam. No matter what, do not give up, because there is always a Singaporean student who will perform worse than us." His remark attracted hundreds of comments from netizens on forums and social networking sites, most of them negative although some users agreed with him. 27-year-old business manager Leroy Lim said it is very irresponsible for PRC students like Liu to make such a remark about Singaporean students, especially when the university final exam is around the corner. "It's inappropriate for him to publish such a comment on a social networking site, particularly when the final exam is nearing. Furthermore, his Chinese peers might perceive we Singaporeans as inferior and academically-disinclined, as compared to the students from China," he told Yahoo! Singapore. However, a few locals think what Parry said was rather accurate, and that we Singaporeans should accept that fact. "This is hard truth, and indeed the high-achieving students are usually from China and few from local," said Ng Wei Jun, a 23-year-old engineering student from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU). In a later post published last night, Parry said he regretted posting such a foolish remark. "I agree. My sensitive remark has caused major dissatisfactions among the local community, and I sincerely apologise," he published on his Ren Ren blog. Parry Liu has since deactivated his Ren Ren and Facebook account. Yahoo! Singapore has reached out to him, but he declined to comment. The writer is a 17-year-old student and technology blogger who loves social media and gadgets. He is also Singapore's top Twitter user with over 220,000 followers.

Do you agree ? And why like that ? No parking lots, it's like that one. Driving very reckless, it's like that one. Service not good, it's like that one. Housing expensive, it's like that one. We cannot think on our own meh ? It's heaven's fault ? It's gahmen's fault ? I admit sometimes I'm guilty of this myself.

Mine is pork. Taste better than chicken, mutton, beef etc.... Wonder why do muslims think its a "dirty" meat... What is yours?

Which mass production cars look good/ugly in the different categories?? Since beauty can be subjective, please feel free to share your views and we dont have to always agree with one another..... For small cars, i think the Mazda2 looks quite good: nice curves and good proportions. The I-car from Mitsubishi looks good from the side, but it looks too narrow from the front/back. For the medium size cars, the alfa159, fiat bravo, civic, kia credo(?) look quite good. I cant think of any good looking large size car yet.... maybe the VW passat CC??.... (some say it's quite difficult to design good looking large and super-large cars) MPV??? SUV???........ sports car (not the exotic cat)??? .... Van??? Thank you

The motor programmes are:- 5th Gear, Engine Block, Top Gear (?)... and others.... Tough fight between 5G and EB.... both are not exactly SYT, but not too bad.... one actually can drive and ride fast!!!

Hey there's been much talk before about plugs... cost vs performance vs durability... since my bike days... was always 'wow' by splitfire... then NGK Racing Plugs (red package)... now there are soooooo many in the market.... actually i wanna know what is the most popular plugs in the market now... i've always thought it was Denso Iridiums since the early 2000s.... presently i am using OWS plasma iridiums... seems great till now been using for 16000kms... this morning just experience my 1st time needed a 2nd crank to start the engine... 1st time its happening since i got the car... maybe its the batt (1yr 6mths old)... maybe lately put too many additives in the fuel... anyways i do wanna find out about plugs... well please do share your type of favourite kinds of plugs... do state the brands if you wish... also if you wish.. car or type of car... As such, Windows and Mac. I like Mac better because I find, there is not much viruses for Mac and much neater I find. But however, I do like the Windows 7 OS installed on my MacBook too. What do you think about my desktop? It is much neater now and I changed my wallpaper to a 1080p GT5 SLS photo.

Guess many motorists sure got shot cos many tend to speed esp after the ECP cam just after ROCHOR exit. Damn hard to spot cos hidden by bushes. I was doing slightly below 100km. Will I get a ticket?
