  1. My car plate (front and back) is a bit old and cracks can be seem on the letters. I am thinking of replacing both the front and back car plate. Any shops to recommend? Also any particular designs to recommend and how much will it cost approximately?
  2. Any suggestions from any bros out there? Would the generic power steering fluid that petrol kiosks sell be suitable? I saw from my car manual that it should be WSS-M2C204-A2 type. Any suggestions for similar / eqivalent? Thanks in advance!

    Ford S Max

Test drove the S Max Bad Pricing 118K COE at 18K, OMV at 29K, RM margins is 30K Some bits are really plasticky e.g. side mirrors control, grab handle for rear most seat can cut your hand as you unfold it 2.3L not the T5 No spare tire?? Good Handling, poise very good in the wet and body roll well controlled (test route North Bouna Vista road) Power from 2.3 seems to be sufficient especially from pull Gear box responsive, down shifts readily Seats very comfy Center and rear row are individual seats Center row can slide forward and back for more last row space Center and rear row folding very easy, will form flat floor Titanium trim loads of kit, e.g. bi xenon, adpative headlight, auto wiper, auto lights, moon roof extra vents for center row In short a compelling vehicle to buy if not for the pricing.
  4. Professional Drift Champion Vaughn Gittin Jr. and his Boxer sidekick, Brody, goes for a mad detour in their Ford Fiesta ST after dropping by the supermarket. In the video, the ST is seen getting thrashed hard on an empty construction site and looks at home doing so. Definitely a video for the rally fans. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUecT2eRg0M
  5. Been looking at this... Worth it to make the switch? Haven't seen the car in the flesh and planning to do so later... http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.php?ID=416505&DL=1309 Comments please...
  6. I'm just curious why Ford is categories as Continental car?? Isn't it a American ride?? Manufactured in Germany doesn't meant it is a Continental car right??
  7. Encountered this caucasian driver today who is hogging the right lane. What did I do wrong for him to jam brake until almost complete stop and winding down window to hurl vulgarities to me? Nothing happen before this as he was all along in front. Incident at 00.30. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYWwggL2AMc&feature=youtu.be

  10. If you are into muscle cars, chances are you love racing (or watching races) on a drag strip. Most folks who hang out at the drag strip will tell you that you will need some heat in your tyres to get the tyres to hook up better. So Ford came up with its latest feature, the 'electronic line-lock' to assist the driver in doing burnouts. You may think that burnouts are easy to do but modulating the brakes while letting the driven wheels spin up on the spot is tougher than you imagine (in manual transmission of course). But with Ford Mustang GT's line-lock, all you need to do is to throttle hard. The car will apply brakes on the front wheels only while the rear tyres are free to spin. http://dai.ly/x1r024o_introducing-line-lock-for-the-2015-ford-mustang-gt_auto For those who still like to DIY, you will be glad that this assist can be turned off.
  11. When talking about car rivalry, most enthusiasts will think of Evos versus WRXs or 3 Series versus C-Class. These battles get pretty intense with manufacturers doing their best to be better on the road and on the track. While not really obvious in our local context, Ford's Mustang and Chevrolet's Camaro have been at war with each other since 1966. That said, General Motors maintains that it feels the rivalry is a very healthy one as it is 'driving force for constant improvement'. So with the Ford Mustang's 50th birthday around the corner, General Motors sent a happy birthday card starring the new Camaro Z/28 with the caption - "Here's to another 50 years of rivalry. Your friend, Camaro". We applaud the classy move by Chevrolet!

  14. Ford announced plans Thursday for a prototype hybrid car that uses solar energy from a rooftop charger, reducing gas use and avoiding the need for plugging into the electric grid. The US auto giant said its C-MAX Solar Energi concept car with a solar panel roof draws power from a special solar concentrator lens similar to a magnifying glass. The vehicle, which will be on display at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next week, is estimated to reduce the annual greenhouse gas emissions a typical car owner would produce by four metric tons. The new system aims to rev up sales of electic and hybrid vehicles without the plug-in requirement of some current models. Ford said the system tracks the sun as it moves from east to west, drawing enough power from the solar rays each day to equal a four-hour battery charge. Ford said this car would deliver an estimated 100 miles (160 kilometers) per gallon (3.8 liters) of gasoline. "Ford C-MAX Solar Energi Concept shines a new light on electric transportation and renewable energy," said Mike Tinskey, Ford global director of vehicle electrification and infrastructure. "As an innovation leader, we want to further the public dialogue about the art of the possible in moving the world toward a cleaner future." The car is a collaborative project of Ford, California-based SunPower Corp. and the Georgia Institute of Technology. 15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFLTg49eGt0Need for Speed Rivals, the latest driving game in the long-running Need for Speed series, showcasing a huge range of high-performance vehicles in a classic cops-versus-robbers road race format, have just added the 2015 Ford Mustang, which was recently unveiled in a global event, with a small update over the weekend. It's a minor addition: apparently the car feels largely similar in-game to the existing 2014 Mustang GT and GT500, but the styling is distinctly different. As a free download, the update is a good dose of advertising for Ford's new coupe, which will come to Australia in the not-too-distant future with a choice of 5.0L V8 or fuel-efficient 2.3L EcoBoost turbo-charged four-cylinder. The 2015 Mustang is a significant evolution of the storied "pony car", finally adding independent rear suspension to a platform that until now used an antiquated solid axle setup. ''Rivals'' is the 20th entry in EA's long-running ''Need for Speed'' series. ''Rivals'' revs up the franchise by borrowing some of the best traits from past EA racing games, all while forging its own route with graphics that illustrate what's possible with new fully loaded gaming hardware.

  17. This is probably not your everyday car nor is it going to be setting any track records. But it is, by far, one of the coolest vehicles ever produced in recent years. The Ford Raptor debuted in 2010 as a SuperCab model with 310bhp, 5.4-litre V8 as a truck that is built to travel off-road at speeds that will break normal trucks. Since then it has been upgraded to a 6.2-litre V8, with 411bhp and 588Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. As with the 2010 version, the 2013 F-150 SVT Raptor is also available in a four-door SuperCrew model. With the introduction of the 2013 model, it features industry-first, direct-from-the-factory forged-aluminum conventional wheels that can be upgraded after purchase to extra-capable beadlocks. Beadlock wheels secure the edges of a tyre to the wheel between two surfaces so the tyre is unlikely to roll off the rim if it's aired down to very low pressure, providing extra grip on the trail. For 2013, SVT Raptor adds a new 4.2-inch multifunction LCD screen for the MyFord

  19. Recently, Mat Watson of Carbuyer U.K. got to review the Peugeot 208 GTI and Ford Fiesta ST on separate occasions. Both hot hatches were launched within two weeks apart. Both cars share more similarities than just their launch dates. The Fiesta ST and 208 GTI are both powered by 1.6-litre turbocharged engines mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. The GTI churns out 197bhp with a century sprint timing of 6.7 seconds while the ST produces 200bhp and goes from 0 to 100km/h in 6.9 seconds. Although the ST is slower, it certainly trashes the GTI in terms of hot hatch looks with its "Aston Martin" grille. And from Mat's expression during both reviews, you can guess which one he prefers. The GTI and ST earned a rating of 4.0/5.0 and 4.8/5.0 respectively at the end of the reviews. Ford Fiesta ST Peugeot 208 GTI

  21. Ford Singapore has posted a Word Search game on its Facebook page. Names of Ford models, not restricted to those on sale in Singapore, are camouflaged in the array of alphabets. I've managed to locate the Focus, Fiesta and Mustang. However, I believe there are a few more models waiting to be discovered. Have fun! Focus Fiesta Mustang
