  1. Hi, Does anyone know if it's possible to repair a scratched carbon fibre front lip? Would appreciate any advice and/or contact. Thanks guys. Mil.
  2. Just as expected, my Huper Optik film on the 2 front side windows failed the VLT. No amount of pursuading could get the inspectors to pass the 30% reading. Well, yeah, rules are rules. So I'm prepared to change the film on the 2 front side windows. I'm keen to go back to Huper Optik Ceramic Plus, but I get the impression that just doing up 2 front side windows versus the full package (all windows) doesn't vary very much. I was quoted an astronomical $650 for the 2 front side windows and the front windscreen. I think a fair price to pay for the front 2 windows is around $150~200. Do you think?
  3. Is it normal for the front 2 tires of a front mounted engine car to leak air faster than the rear tires?
  4. Few months back, my car windscreen is badly chipped so I changed the whole windscreen at a NTUC authorized workshop. Looks as per normal but I notice air seep in from all edges of the windscreen when I travel at high speed (>120 km/h) in NSHW recently. Does not happen at all before the change. It's very obvious, very loud air sound through the front. Loud till can get irritated. Is there a way to fix it, as in improve the sealing of windscreen, either workshop or DIY.
  5. Hi all, Thanks in advance if you can advise where i can find the front lower lips Skirtings. Please see picture attached. It was damaged by the Tow truck, trying to tow my vehicle when the Alternator fail.

  7. Hi guys new bie to cars, get my kia forte few months back... Recently found a quite scary thing about the car's front doors: the car will auto lock all doors once speed above 20km/h sth, but recently my wife accidently pulled the front passenger's door handle, and the door open directly, when the car is at around 50km/h!! means it can override the lock , tried driver side it's same also can open directly, but rear doors can not and have to push the lock bottom to unlock first, someone said it's safety feather cos in case of acciddent can open door faster, i doubt so, imaging u r on highway 90km/h suddently the door accidently open, i dont think its safe.... Had confirmed all kia forte had this "feather", so before i send my car to dealer for enqurey, just wanna check with bros here with other brands of cars, is it the same for other cars that front door can open directly without unlock it first? Thx

  9. Any Sunny owner has this problem? When the car is old, in the morning, when I go over a hump, there will be a click-clock sound. The sound is coming from the left front shock absorber. After the car has been running for a while, the sound disappears. My friend's Sunny has exactly the same problem.
  10. xian, I just scratched the front of my door mirror of my cefiro. I noticed that my side mirror seems to have signal light, so I think there is a mirror cover. does anyone know how much it cost to replace this cover? should be very cheap right? I tried call TC but they already closed for the weekend....
  11. my flat abt 20 yrs old liao the front wooden door is cracking and peeling so thinking of changing its fireproof i believe? where to buy such doors at budget prices? thks
  12. I had to admit it was recklessness on my part which cause my swiftie to hit another's car causing inconvenience to myself and another car. Old Swift + going a little faster at amber light + rain + Learner car suddenly stop in front + car behind him e-brake = for me Nobody is hurt though. I need to ask the old swift drivers here? Anyone scrapping their old swift so I can get their parts? Tentatively, I need: Bonnet (think can knock back tho) front bumper Light covers front grille Basically the front parts. The car is still drivable but it looks in bad shape. Any ideas if I will be able to find them in scrap yards? My first accident. If I can't find them, I'll probably going to scrap it and BMW.
  13. Hi guys.... Have a silver color Honda Accord CL7A front grill for sale....... $60 cash & carry.... SMS 93689264 for a quick deal..... Hi Moderators.....posted in wrong folder.....can help to move to sales folder? Thank you very much.....

  15. Many Forte owners are experiencing a soft knock sound when going over road humps. The sound is from the front of the car and the matter has yet to be resolved by AD. Seems like an inherent fault in the car. Any Forte owners here who have the knock sound and got it rectified?

  18. Hi guys, just something to share... I've always wanted to setup something like that.... a video camera to record your driving journeys. This is for self-insurance. Video evidence in the event of an accident. I've tried using a spare mobile phone mounted onto a phone holder on the dash but I didn't really like the setup. Recently saw someone selling the same camera in MCF for SGD155 without memory card. I bought the same camera off ebay for SGD100 with a 4gb memory card and got it mounted on the front windscreen. I've edited my trip of 15mins from Turf City to Holland (435mb) down into a short 2min clip for you guys to have a sample of what it is. I'm sure you guys have read many postings in the other parts of the forum with similar road trip videos.
  19. Is it Legal to mount a Child Seat in the front of the passenger side? This is of cos after I've disabled the passenger Air-Bags. Any repercussions I should be aware about?
  20. Hi to all who do not have a strut bar in their vehicle engine and the feel after installing one which I would like to share with. I have been toying for quite some time as to whether I should install a strut bar on my Mit Lancer GLX as my other 2 cars came with it. Reason being that I could feel lots of difference with and without between the cars. My next point is if I install, should a use a single piece or the type with hinges on both ends of the strut bars. After scrutinising through the various websites and understanding the pros and cons, I decided to go for the one piece one and yesterday, I contacted the supplier of strut bars and get his opinion. He also recommended me the single piece type as it is more stable and rigid. After the conversation, I went to the shop and try both before deciding which one I like. While testing them on cornerings and straight road at high speed, I felt the difference on the driveability as the single piece 'ultra racing' is very stable on straight roads and take cornering at high speed very little swaying of the car. I then decided on a single piece 'ultra racing' strut bar for my Lancer model. After installation, I feel the car totally different as it gives me more fun and better kick to drive. Before installation, I had to slow down the speed during cornering and the car was swaying to one side. But I have to clarify that even with a front strut bar installed, one should drive with care. The above is my view and sharing after installing a front strut bar and have no regret in spending the money.
  21. http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/singapor...nt.jsp?id=71861 i see three ways of getting out: 1) look for owner  2) mount curb 3) brute force (see your brake stronger or my torque higher)
  22. Happened earlier this evening in front of Parkway Parade. The centre barricade was totally thrashed with some parts of it on the opposite lanes. The lamp post was nearly cut down. Loads of debris. Looks like from a white vehicle or motorcycle. Anyone knows what actually happened? From the scene, looks like a vehicle had crashed through the barricade after turning out from Parkway Parade.
  23. Anyone got lobang for aftermarket front brake rotor for Nissan March (current model). Or take-off from brand new March/latio rotors also can. The car rim is 15", so most likely cannot go for big brake kit. My friend wants to change as there is vibration and shaking of steering wheel when braking speed reached 50-60km/hr. Other speed while the brake is applied has no vibration, and the vibration comes only when braking at higher speed till car speed is reduce to around 50-60km/hr and vibration goes away when car is below 50km/hr.
  24. hi, anyone encountered noises from the front panel before? at the steering wheel side
