Hi brothers, Driving a 2nd hand 5-year++ 1.1M Getz. Odo about 73k Km. Recently experience the following problem: Started engine, gear stick very very stiff to engage through all the gears. Must use a lot of force to engage. Any brothers experienced the same thing before? What is wrong? Where is good, honest, reliable workshop to troubleshoot/repair manual transmission/clutch problems? -

hi all... serious question... dont mind pls no lecture inputs on how dangerous blah blah blah... many thanks... CTE after braddell exit... about 12 midnight... road condition dry... white Avente signal right and cut straight into my lane... my speed was too fast so in order not to brake i had to change lane... so i passed the Avente close and rev rev... he immediately sped up to catch up with me... i was quite in front so i slowed dwn and waited... when he approached we were next to each other at AMK ave1 exit 4th lane... he blast all the way to 1st lane and i blast behind... out of a sudden suddenly very heavy down pour while i was climbing the up slope... full throttle at either 3-4 gear... (the avente was fast... or maybe i was slow...) just before the road was to end its upslope.... i 'hao' abit the clutch... and i confirmed the tyres spin... i lost grip.... the avente zoomed off... like when you throw your clutch at a traffic light on a wet day... but this time was at 100+km/h CTE 1st lane... it was not scary, but i was like what the hell sia... is it normal?... cause upslope/rain just started/i full blast and 'hao' a bit of clutch.... or simply tires F#$%ked up?... confirm was not clutch slipping.... was it a normal incident?...

Hi all, I am having difficulty shifting in to gear 1 and reverse gear; often it would result to grinding of the gear. Do note that I have fully clutched in. Any expert advice on the remedy or is it the gear box up the lorry already. Thanks for reading Best regards, Rustyz

Hello, I have recently did a gear oil change at autobacs ubi and forgotten what kind of oil they use. Anyway, after changing, engaging gear become smooth. But it last for 2 weeks only. Now back to normal, gear 1 and 2 a little difficult to engage. The specs for my gear oil is 75w90 GL4. Dear bros here any recommendation which oil to use they can be smooth and last a long time? Don't want to change and then 2 weeks later become not smooth again like autobacs. Please do comment and give your recommendation and experiences. Thank you.

Just now my car was on a downslope then I engaged e-brake and then changed to P gear cos I had to insert cashcard into the machine cos I drove too far from it. Then when I changed back to D, it gave this groaning sound. Why is this? Will it damage gearbox or something? Thanks

My car is with automatic gear. In a HDB carpark, i stop in the slope while waiting for the cars in front to park their car. After the cars clear, i accelerate up the slope, then turn right while releasing accelerator totally. My engine die off. Then i off everything and restart engine. I never imagine that auto car engine will die off halfway like this. Is this any sign of any problems? Or it is possible that the engine will die off like manual car at rare occasion.

When approaching red light whilst your car is still moving, is it alright to engage the neutral gear until the car stops? Heard from one of my pal that it may dmg the gearbox? I am doing this rather regularly and is not sure whether there will be nay implications? We are assuming automatic transmission of cuz..

Which gear oil to use for Mit Coltplus CVT, Diaqueen SPIII ATF or Diaqueen J CVTF? i had called-up C&C service centre, they advised to use Diaqueen SPIII ATF, even user menu also stated use Diaqueen SPIII but i thought CVT gearbox should use CVTF and ATF & CVTF is totally different? can anyone can help to explain?

Folks, I'm just wondering if is possible to swap a compatible gear from a 4 speed gear transmission to a 5 speed gear transmission? Just wondering if is possible as my current ride is a 4 speed gear trans n seems like can see some probs surfacing thus have this taut of changing it.

Posting on behalf of a friend. Got a new chery T11 1.6 and the problem is ..... this car cannot go up slope on Imm carpark in 2nd gear. when engage the RPM never go up. so hv to go up the cp all the way using 1st gear... not much ppl in the car only driver n 1 passanger. anyone knows why?? Chery mach say this car no power so hv to drag 1st gear to 4-5k RPM to be able to go up in 2nd gear why??? any long term damage other than petrol in long run?? Will ask friend to monitor this thread.. thanks alot!!!!
