Hi All My gear keeps getting stuck in 'P'ark, only when I use a pin to push the 'Shift Lock Release' do the car be able to shift into other gear. Any simple solution to this before I go back for service? Thanks.

Anyone tried X-REV Engine Oil or the Gear Treatment Oil? http://www.x-lube.com/index.htm Any comment? Especially the Gear Treatment Oil, do u think it will help make ATF oli last longer?

What are the possible causes for vibration after the ATF flush and change of gasket, when the car is stationary at D with foot brake depressed? Thanks

Example: Car's max torque 121Nm at 3k RPM. 1. does this mean that revving above 3k rpm wont give me extra torque? 2. usually when cars need to overtake, they down one gear for more torque to overtake and gain speed rite? 3. if im at 5th gear, 3.2k rpm, i need to overtake, is it advisable to down to 4th gear to overtake?

Sudden Jerk during Gear Change. Auto Car Just got my new ride. 1 month old Auto Gear Car. For some reason, whenever I release my accelerator (meaning not stepping & let the car move forward on it own, you know the kind of suitation when approaching a red light stop) my car suddenly jerk alittle and then followed by a sudden forward push. Not sure if it is the auto gear change that is causing this? Anyone out there has similar experience?

Anyone caught the newest Top Gear Australia? From left to right: Charlie Cox, Warren Brown and Steve Pizzati brief overview of the presenters: Warren Brown, cartoonist and motoring columnist for The Daily Telegraph Charlie Cox, MotoGP commentator for the BBC, and a former radio presenter and ex-racing driver Steve Pizzati, advanced driving instructor, race driver and freelance motoring journalist I think it sucks BIG TIME.... and its making a big ridicule of the original show itself. i just dont know where to start.... but heck here goes: 1) the presenters arent the bit funny 2) hate their accent... 3) what the hell was with dumping the car as shark bait? is this even a car show ? 4) The celebrities can even get a better track time than "The Stig" 5) Whats the layout of the track? it feels like its just 3 corners and all straights 6) Steve bumped his head coming out of the Ford GT??? 7) Charlie spun out on the Ford GT a couple of times? 8) Charlie looked absolutely scared pushing the Ford GT to its "max" speed. Some race driver.. 9) Ok give them a bit of teething problems but the 2nd episode was rubbish too. 10) look at the crowd on the 1st episode.. and the tiny "gathering" at the 2nd. obviously even the Ozzies thought it was crap. 11) And whats with Steve suggesting to rename the Stig to Stiggo ? WTFBBQ?

Hi guys, I've got a friend whose car has the problem mentioned above......the engine stalls while its on neutral gear and happens rather frequently especially when turning the steering...wat could be the cause??any helpful souls pls advise!!! -
GT-R went around the track in 1 min 19.7 sec that is faster than all lambos, even LP640. that is just 0.7sec shy of Enzo Ferrari, and faster than nearly all other ferraris. that is a 4 seater car that is only 3.8litre V6. and a car that cost just $270,000.

July 04 2008 Richard Hammond and James May's futures at Top Gear are in doubt because of an argument over salaries. Their contracts run out at the end of the month, but they have not yet signed a new one leading to fears they may leave the show. The report in the MediaGuardian revealed that the two stars were unhappy that their salaries weren't more inline with that of the show's main host, Jeremy Clarkson. Clarkson has apparently negotiated a pay rise which includes profit share of Top Gear rights around the world. A source told the Guardian: "Internally there is talk that there might be a chance for the first time that there could be a break up of the team, it has got that bad. "There has been a lot of pulling out of hair, a Mexican stand-off. For the first time it is possible that one or both might leave. They don't want to accept second status anymore. What is the longest distance your car have travelled on free gear, if you ever do that? The longest that I have let my car rolled on free gear, without touching the accelerator, was between 8 and 10 km on the karak hwy from genting direction on many ocassions. In Sg at most I could get was no more than 2 km down BS bridge to fort road. Have done that on my manual as well as my auto cars. Dont worry about all that talk of spoiling the gear transmission if you are not using your car till scraped. My last 2 cars was 135,000 km and 129,000 km when I changed them near the 5th year with no problems.

I am getting different advice from AD and petrol station service when stop at traffic light should one put the gear to neutral or just apply brakes and leave the gear as before some say if you keep changing to neutral your gear box will KO faster other say NO also going down hill do one change to a lower gear in an auto car I stop doing it already because this has cost me a new gear box

The Koreans nabbed the former Audi designer last year to liven up their stolid image, and already we're seeing the results of his furious scribblings in the shape of this, the Kia Koup concept (koncept, surely?) revealed at the New York show. It's the second coupe concept from Kia in a short space of time - the canary-hued Kee surfaced back in Frankfurt last autumn - and it's certainly a more mature effort. Large by European coupe standards, the Koup sits on the same platform as the Cee'd. There's plenty of Honda Civic and a touch of Evo X about the front end, but we don't mind that. So does all this concept action mean we'll see a proper production Kia coupe soon? "You don't bring a designer like Peter Schreyer in just to design 4x4s," said our Hyundai UK source. "We've got 12 or 13 new cars to launch over the next year or two, and we'd love to see a coupe in there." With the exception of a few concept touches - neoprene carpets, anyone? - the Koup sounds fairly production viable. It's powered by a turbocharged two-litre petrol engine putting out 290bhp, which sounds suspiciously like the powerplant out of the Evo X, an engine part-developed by Kia in Korea.
