  6. Hi folks, Some of the folks prefer to go without a spare tyre in the boot. Care to share your reasons? Just to reduce overall weight of car without the spare tyre, rim and equipments? Pro and cons? If I decided to change my rims, and also at the same time, make it 5 so that I have a spare rim in my boot, am I doing something unpractical here? Of course I don't expect myself to get a burst tyre everyday ... but as I discovered, can be quite troublesome to get the towtruck in when it does happens. Ed
  7. My engine is old. I want it to last longer than what Viagra can do for a 90-year old man. I've been reading the forums of bobistheoilguy and everyone is raving about this Auto-Rx treatment. Found out it is not in stores so it cannot be found in auto accessories shops here or anywhere in the US. Only can order from the inventor direct from his website. Anyone want to tompang my order? 4+ bottles @ USD18.97
  8. Cannot tahan the bumpy ride liao, need to change tyres. But the bumpy thing goes away once I hit say 50-60km/h. Is this a sign of tyre wear? After enquiring abt the ES100, found out that it cannot fit into my existing rim, so think going for the Potenza GD3(185/65/14) at $82/ea. Price ok or not? thks for all the advise here.
  9. SEAT's Shock New GT Racer EAT continues to be pushed as Spain's answer to Alfa Romeo and now it's going racing. This is the Cupra GT - a 500bhp-plus, carbonfibre-bodied racer that will be built to order from the later part of this year - and it made its debut at the Barcelona motor show. It's powered by the 2.7-litre twin-turbo V6 engine last seen in the Audi RS4, mid-mounted and driving the rear wheels through a six-speed sequential gearbox. Underneath the swoopy styling themes, which echo the Tango roadster concept and look set to be adopted by all future SEATs, there's a conventional steel tubular chassis. The Cupra GT weighs 1100kg and Seat claims it will accelerate from rest to 62mph (100kph) in 4.2 seconds. Top speed will be dependent on specific track gearing but 180mph is feasible. The huge rear wing and underbody venturi ducts are said to create significant downforce. And the rest of the spec backs up the menacing looks: double-wishbone suspension, 378mm AP Racing brakes, over 500bhp and 442lb ft. Initially the Cupra GT will compete in the Spanish GT series but customer cars will be available for teams contesting GT championships throughout the world from 2004. - Taken from www.evo.co.uk
  10. Hi everyone. I just went test driving with a couple of colleagues today. Was surprised to hear that the new turbo charged Forrester is going at 101K. The drive was shiok...pick up very good for a big car and auto one too . Incidentally, the rex is going for 109K now sure got some chiongster out there that will be tempted by these new prices...
  11. My car is producing clunking sound when going over bumps.. Its on the rear right wheel.. I don't know what might be the problem yet.. It doesn't make noise when I try to bounce the car with my hand.. I suspect its the exhausts hooks might be loose, or something to do with struts or bushings.... I guess have to bring it to the mechanic to find out.
