  1. I met one this morning!! He's driving a fully laden trailer but kept to left most lane, unlike other lorry/trailer drivers who like to hog the 2nd lane from the left therefore slowing down traffic behind them even when the left most lane is empty. Nothing really wrong as they are not using the rigth most lane (illegal for trucks/trailers) but when the road/expressway is busy they should let faster traffic use other lanes they stick to left most lane. He kept to the left most and only filter out when the road reaches a Y junction and he had to take the right to continue. It took him quite a while to filter from left most to the right (at about 500m from where the Y split). Other truck/trailer drivers took the 2nd lane from the begining and slow everyone behind down to 'save' themselves the hassle of having to 'struggling' to filter before the Y split...
  2. In my other thread, I slammed the Qatar Airways Boeing 787 Economy class product for the cramped seating. To be fair to Qatar, this thread is about giving good feedback on their newest A350 aircraft economy product. It is really good! We only got to fly the A350 on the final leg of our journey, which was the Doha-Singapore leg. This is the picture of the cockpit (from the aerobridge) of the Airbus A350, after landing at Changi. Here is my flight review video of the A350 experience. https://youtu.be/MeTxDyDYHyQ Qatar Airways A350 Flight on the new Airbus A350 from Doha to Singapore. It was a 0700hrs departure from Doha and landed in Singapore at 1950 hrs local time. We were travelling from London to Singapore, with a 45 minute layover in Doha. We had a 45 minute layover in Doha. The transfer was rather rushed, but still do-able. QR 002 landed in Doha on time, but we did not have an aero-bridge. We had to take a bus to the terminal, similar to earlier experience. At Doha, we had to re-do security screening, which fortunately was very fast and hassle free. There were many transfer passengers, however, I noticed that they cleared us very quickly as compared to say LHR. Some kind of huge yellow ultra big toy in the middle of the hall? Didn't have time to take a look. This picture was taken while walking! We boarded the aircraft rather late, i.e. almost all the other passengers had boarded. From the transfer security area, it was a rather long walk to the gate for the Airbus A350 flight to Singapore. I recall it was at Gate B8. See the time stamp on the Gate - 0647hrs! Yes, we got there just in the nick of time. The plane was new. This flight was rather empty so I had an empty seat beside me. Seat space was decent and the IFE system was modern with a nifty touchscreen.I found this video clip on the touchscreen IFE. Exciting! Onboard the aircraft now. Here is the safety card, Airbus A350-900. I found the safety card to be unexpectedly worn and used, I wonder why. I had thought the A350 was a very new aircraft? I was seated near the front of the aircraft. It was a day flight and I think most pax were not sleepy, unlike us. This is how the IFE system looked like. Very modern, and even better than the system on the Boeing 787. Service on board was good. Overall, Qatar offers a top notch product. Pity, however, the seat space on the Boeing 787 is terrible - that is for another video review. For the food, we had two meals. First meal of breakfast was served shortly after takeoff. We had three choices of the hot meal. I had the Asian inspired Thai-style with fried rice. As this was breakfast, it felt too early for alcohol, but I think I had some. After breakfast, I had a decent sleep, about 4 hours. Woke up about 2 hours before landing. The next meal served before landing was a light one. Sandwich plus cake and drinks. Still, it was a definitely a good snack. Taste was good, presentation was good. Landing in SIN was on time. The FAs were very pleasant and attentive throughout. I appreciate the extra attention they showered on my two kids. In this video, I also remember the recent earthquake tragedy in Mt Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. Several young primary school children and teachers lost their lives, due to falling boulders. Rest in peace. Thanks for reading.
  3. This seem to be a bit of weird size, not many choices to choose from... Have 2 model in mind, Michelin PS3 (too bad this size not available) so the next is RE001, anyone tried RE001 in this weird size?

  6. This thread is for Soccer Manager, the totally pointless game we love to hate. Currently we are mass orgy-ing in World Championship 6223 - Game world ID 28826World Championship 9191 - Game world ID 50548MCF Premier League - Game World ID 60665 (by application only) Register yourself and pit yourself against some of the brightest brains in the world of footy management. Square up against the legendary White One (not so legendary lately), the irrepressible Little Prince (press harder babe!) or the mercurial Lclub (mercurial = blardy inconsistant). Tear your hair out by drawing with the most tedious bus driver or lose all your dignity being trashed by a pussy. Find out that Takumi can beat you in driving and managing and Tarzan yells command at his players while swinging from stand to stand. We will eat you for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 3 times a day.

  10. As I was at home nothing much to do and looked out of thebwindow saw my area nearby there is this condo that is under demolition. I looked and saw this swimming pool filled with water. I wanted to highlight to relevant department to send people down to take a look and to ensure no mosquito bleeding but thinking too leachey and decided not to. Then I realise I got this oneservice app that I downloaded last year oct when the news announced that this oneservice app was created for one stop Service. Incharge is under Mso aka municipal platform where if public do not know which agency to send to for feedback or complaint can send to mso and they will take a look to see which department or ministry is Incharge and task it to relevant department to take action. So I opened this app and finally I got to use it for the 1st time. The app is so good and very convenient. All I need is to login, select category, take picture, tag for location write some description and click sent. All less then 10minutes. There is even tracking for you to see whether the case I sent is still open or closed. Overall this app I give 9 our of 10. Here's the screenshot of the app I send for feedback. So if anyone would to want to feedback something regarding construction safety, roadworks etc and find it very leachey, maybe can download this app and just a few minutes to get all the information and Click submit.
  11. Went to the IT Show yesterday, intending to buy a 32gb micro-SD card for my Blackvue. Was told it is advisable to get a Class 6 card. But the price diff between Class 4 and Class 6 is huge. 32gb class 4 = $39 32gb class 6 = $79 The price diff is ridiculous. Didn't want to be a sucker. I put off the purchase. Did some research. Found out that Class 4 is good enough for HD recording. www.sdcard.org/developers/overview/speed_class/ I did an experiment. Took out the 4gb Class 4 micro-SD card from my Blackberry. Format it to install Blackvue firmware. Did a few minutes of normal recording. The video quality was good. No jerky recording. Everything looked good.

  16. I notice many people behave in a manner that cause unpleasant toward others in the elevator recently So basically this is what I normally do for good practice in elevator - Never block elevator door, let people inside come out first - Hold the door with my hand and give way to let people with wheelchair, stroller and pregnant lady enter first - Shift inside whenever there is space behind me to let people come in - Keep my noise level down inside elevator - If I bring kids, I will ask them to stop jumping and shouting in elevator, and play with floor button - Stop munching my food - Lower my ear piece volume if I find it too loud - Hold the door when people go out or whenever people come in or run from far - Help people with hands occupied to press floor level button - Say thank you to everyone who assist me like holding door etc - Avoid staring at people inside lift as I feel thats very rude unless chiobu then quick stare - Smile at babies but wont touch them, my hand may not be hygiene - Remind my friends lower voice whenever there is someone else in the lift - Wont pick nose - Wont sing I hope everyone does the same practice in the lift, respecting others and had a pleasant lift experience

  18. Just now during the heavy rain I saw this car driving with Hazard Lights on, so I think I should create a topic on good driving habits. Feel free to add on to the list. Usage of High beams: Don't turn on your high beams in normal driving conditions when the streets lights are working. You might disorientate other driver's vision, especially if they are coming from the opposite direction. Still don't know why got some kukus drive around with high beam.. In hazy/foggy conditions, high beams should not be used, the high beam will get reflected and actually impairs visibility rather than improves. Use fog lights if you have it. (Even in poor visibility conditions, Fog Lamps that do not meet the requirements must not be used in Singapore). Do not continuously flash high beam at goondus. They will become more goondu instead. Never ever High Beam oncoming traffic, use the horn instead if necessary. If you encounter oncoming traffic flashing their high beams at you, slow down, there is something ahead. In poor visibility conditions: High Beams^^ Turn on Hazard Lights, they are more visible than tail lights. Slow down and watch your speed. Use lane markings to guide where you are going. Be alert at all times and stay focused, try not to talk to others in the car if possible. Others: Turn on your hazard lights if you spot any hazards in front, it is always good to alert other drivers as they are really alot of blur sotongs in SG. Can't stress this enough, Signal early!!! Please be patient and give others time to start off at traffic lights. Do not hog the roads, if you are confused or lost, pull over to the side and ask for directions. If you always get high beamed on Lane 1 on expressways, you know its a good time to start using lane 2 instead. Use your rear-view mirror when overtaking/filtering, the are blind spots in side mirrors. Check your rear-view mirror regularly to give way to tailgaters. If you find someone tailgating you, do NOT jam break, all lifes are precious. Flash your hazard lights twice to say Thank You to drivers who give way to you. Give way P-plate drivers, driving is stressful enough for them. GIVE WAY TO EMERGENCY VEHICLES AT ALL TIMES(INCLUDING PRIVATE AMBULANCES) you might save a life. Also, high beam vehicles in front of you and turn on hazard lights to signal others. High Beam/Horn others if you notice that they are not focused. Go infront of them and flash your hazard lights if you are not behind them. Try your best to signal to others if you notice problems with their cars. E.g. unsecured boot, open petrol covers, burst/deflated tires, headlights not turn on at night. If you encounter problems with your car, turn on your hazard lights and filter to the left most lane and pull over. If you see white lights on the back of a car, Watch Out, that car is in reverse gear. Too tired to think.. feel free to add on to the list.
