  1. Hi all, a very noob question. My coolant reservoir is running low and I'm not sure which Honda coolant am I using. Can I just add the antifreeze type 2 into the reservoir? If previously my ws is using type 1, can I mix type 1 with type 2? Thank in advance.

Honda updates its cute 'n' cuddly kei hatchback, and makes it stick-shift Every single kei car is cute, but some are lucky enough to hit every branch of the cute tree on their plummet to the streets of Tokyo. Kei cars like the Honda N One. This is it in mildly updated form, but Honda has sensibly left its adorable face pretty much alone. It’s all typical facelift fare: newly LED head and tail lights, minor tweaks for the grille and bumpers, and… nowt else. We want to cuddle it just as much as we did before. The biggest news sits betwixt driver and passenger. Go for the top-spec N One RS and you’ll have the option of a six-speed manual gearbox to replace the standard CVT auto. Being a car that slots into tight kei regulations – governing exterior dimensions not much larger than a roller skate, and engines to 660cc and 63bhp maximums – it’s not going to behave like a shrunken Civic Type R.   4. Hi all, i am looking for your opinion. In recent regular maintenance, my engineer suggested me to change the front absorber and engine mounting which cost about 1.5K inlcuding labor. I can feel the problem while driving and it is getting a little worse in the past 6 months. Howver, I am not sure whether I shall chang them now since the car is due in 3 years and I probably will change another car. what would you do if in my situation? thanks.

  6. 10 Generations Of Honda Accord Show The Family Sedan's Evolution source: https://www.motor1.com/news/446925/honda-accord-evolution/ It all started back in 1976. About two years ago, a nifty set of renderings refreshed our memory about the Honda Civic’s timeline by revisiting all ten generations to show the remarkable evolution of the compact car. Fast forward to 2020, the same folks at Budget Direct Car Insurance have sent us a new batch depicting the Civic’s bigger brother – the Accord. First Generation (1976-1981) Much like the Civic, the larger Accord has also spawned a total of ten generations, with the original launched back in 1976. It initially came out as a three-door hatchback before the four-door sedan was introduced in 1979. Power came from a 1.6-liter with a respectable 68-hp output sent to the wheels via a five-speed manual. The sedan arrived with a beefier 1.8-liter and was also equipped with power steering. Second Generation (1981-1985) The first Japanese car assembled in the United States, the second-generation Accord was larger than its predecessor and had a substantially different look with boxy styling. It gained an optional four-speed automatic gearbox in 1983 and got its engine bumped in displacement from 1751cc to 1830cc to unlock 86 hp. More oomph was added in 1985 with the arrival of the Accord SEi and its fuel-injected engine pumping out 101 hp. Third Generation (1985-1989) Once again, the Accord received an increased footprint for its third iteration, which came along with a third body style in the form of a sleek coupe. It was mechanically superior to its predecessor, featuring a Honda-first double-wishbone suspension at both axles as well as a more aerodynamically friendly body. Honda increased the engine’s size furthermore, to a 2.0-liter unit with 98 hp on tap when carbureted or an optional 110 hp with fuel injection. Oh, did we mention it had pop-out headlights? Fourth Generation (1989-1993) With the risk of sounding like a broken record, the fourth-gen Accord was enlarged once more, fully qualifying for the midsize sedan status. Honda boosted the car’s practicality with the addition of a wagon that replaced the hatchback. A newly developed 2.2-liter engine was rated at a healthy 130 hp for the flagship EX model. There was even a sport mode for the four-speed automatic transmission, allowing the driver to choose gears manually. Sadly, it lost the nifty pop-out headlights. Fifth Generation (1993-1997) The fifth-gen Accord saw the addition of VTEC for the 2.2-liter engine and the sedan’s first V6, a 2.7-liter unit making 170 hp and 165 lb-ft (224 Nm). The versions equipped with the bigger engine had some design tweaks at the front to distinguish them from the four-pot models. Honda stretched the wheelbase for extra rear legroom and proposed a sportier design. Sixth Generation (1998-2002) No more wagon body style with the sixth-gen model, with only the coupe and sedan surviving. The two-door model was developed in North America and had a slightly shorter wheelbase than its four-door counterpart. Front airbags came as standard, with side airbags available at an additional cost. The base engine was a 2.3-liter with 135 hp, while an optional 3.0-liter V6 had 200 hp. Seventh Generation (2002-2008) For its seventh iteration, the Accord got more powerful engines across the range. Even the base four-cylinder unit now made 160 hp, while the 3.0-liter VTEC V6 pumped out 240 hp. Both got a little bit more power later in the life cycle when an electrified V6 was added with a combined output of 253 hp. The coupe allowed customers to order the V6 engine with a manual gearbox for the first time. Eighth Generation (2008-2012) Creating a greater visual differentiation between the sedan and coupe, Honda increased the Accord’s size yet again for the eighth generation. The V6 engine – now making 268 hp – was once again offered with a three-pedal setup. It was bumped to the fullsize car class by EPA, and spawned a hunchbacked Crosstour fastback for the 2010 model year for added practicality. The oddly shaped version was two inches wider than the sedan and added about 300 pounds (136 kilograms) of weight. Ninth Generation (2013-2017) Not necessarily a fully fledged next-generation car, the Accord Mk9 was more of a thorough refresh of its predecessor. The sedan gained a Sport variant with a standard six-speed manual and a little bit more power than the regular four-cylinder models, along with dual exhaust tips as well as bespoke wheels. Honda went back and forth with the hybrid version, which managed to get an EPA rating of 48 mpg thanks to its electrified four-cylinder engine. Tenth Generation (2017-Present) As for the current-generation Accord, the coupe has gone the way of the dodo together with the V6. The base 1.5-liter turbo engine is good for 192 hp while the larger 2.0-liter unit develops 252 hp, with a hybrid version also available with 212 hp. The electrified model does 48 mpg in the combined cycle. Even though it’s larger than the model it replaced, the tenth-generation model has shaved off 110 to 176 pounds (50 to 80 kilograms) depending on trim by making greater use of aluminum and ultra-high-strength steel.
  7. When coming to a car comparison, one of the most important aspect that we will mention is drivability. And today we have two goondus testings out the drivability at CTE on 1st of March. As you can see, the Honda Vezel make the first move at the start of the video cutting from the third lane to the second lane making the Suzuki Jimny braking hard. And with the ALLGRIP 4Wheel drive technology from Suzuki, it easily helps the Suzuki Jimny conquer the Honda Vezel back. As he is again on pole position. While not admitting defeat, the Honda Vezel instantaneously retaliate by activating its i-VTEC that unleash all 130bhp from the engine. Overtaking the poor ComfortDelGro cab and scaring the Suzuki Jimny with a Dom's stare. These two goondus had made the CTE their battleground lasting for more than 1min 30sec. Which fortunately there is no accident involved during this time. Watch the full video here. I am assuming that these goondus have continued the dogfight even after they exited the expressway. For our readers out there, let bygones be bygones. Hatred breed hatred. So when there is a car cutting your lane, just be gracious about it.   8. @RadX pan chan my car lei. Car audio cannot switch off..... You can see the car key is not even connected to ignition and the audio wont off.. mine is not keyless in case you think it's the push button to in engine. Anyway I disconnected the car battery and re connected it. Audio still haywire (and swallowed a CD rom as well) but at least can switch off now..... Maybe I really need to change to Honda soon before more things break down.. btw the HU is aftermarket one that just finished it's two year warranty. VID-20200914-WA0011.mp4
  9. When if comes to overtaking, we bet this Honda Civic driver is one of the most skilled drivers on our road if not the most skilled. This happened on Christmas eve at around 11:45pm along Bartley East Rd in the area of Kaki Bukit towards the CTE and we must say we are impressed with the precision of the overtake. As you can see from the clip, the matt-greenish Civic Turbo came out of nowhere and moved across from one lane to the other with not much room to spare, before proceeding to accelerate away briskly. Today I saw a Honda Airwave parked next to a Mazda2 today and felt like : 1) Honda Airwave is just like an extended Mazda 2. Too small. 2) Question on its ability to pull 7 adults. Any Airwave owner care to comment ?
  11. It is of utmost importance that we keep our brake systems working and healthy at all times. The following video perfectly illustrates why. Seen on 8th of December is a Honda Vezel exiting onto a busy Dunearn Road from one of the smaller lanes. The law-abiding drivers would know that you should never turn into the middle lane but this Vezel bravely crossed the double white line without hesitation. This caused the Honda Civic Type R camera car that submitted the video to SG Road Vigilante to claim that he had to slam on his brakes real hard, causing the brake hose to erm... break. In our opinion, the Honda Vezel driver is a joke but we must point out that the Type R camera car was also going at a good nick in the drizzle. Thankfully, there was no contact between the cars but the camera car driver made sure to give the Vezel driver a piece of his mind (Watch until the final moments of the video).

Spotted on Road.sg, this Honda ST1300 - a road touring bike which is kinda familiar to our SPF choice of weapon, the Yamaha XJ900T. Let's have a look. Wait a sec. Fuiyoh! He is a whole package! A long long time ago, there must be young handsome traffic police who gave him a helping and makes him remember how cool traffic police is and since then, he got inspired to becoming one. Alrighty, so nieces and nephews, please take a second look at our traffic police when you spotted one. It may and may not be one.

In an SUV-hungry market, it’s refreshing to see Honda hasn’t given up on regular cars. A year after introducing the City Sedan, its five-door counterpart is premiering today as a replacement in some markets for the Jazz / Fit supermini. It largely carries over the sedan’s styling, but adapted to the smaller footprint as the City Hatchback is 208 millimeters (8.2 inches) shorter. At 4345 mm (171.1 inches) long, the new small hatch is significantly larger than the Jazz without stepping on the Civic Hatchback’s toes. Even though it carries over the sedan’s wheelbase, Honda says the five-door model boasts greater legroom and so-called Ultra Seats with Utility, Long, Tall, and Refresh modes for extra convenience. In Thailand where the City Hatchback was unveiled today, Honda will sell the car with a turbocharged 1.0-liter gasoline engine. The three-pot is good for 120 horsepower and 173 Newton-meters (128 pound-feet) of torque channeled to the front wheels through a continuously variable transmission. There’s a sporty-looking RS trim featured here in red, but it’s all show without any extra go. This City Hatchback RS range topper has more than just visual tweaks as it also comes generously equipped with paddle shifters, six airbags, cruise control, rear charging ports, and an armrest for passengers sitting in the back. Honda also installs an eight-speaker sound system, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment, and red illumination for the digital screen in the instrument cluster.

  15. Here's another battle of egos between two drivers. Spotted on SG Road Vigilante is the video of a camera car going up against a Honda Fit that has a Private-hire decal. It also has a P-plate in case you didn't notice. To cut to the chase, both drivers ended up facing each other on a single lane road that was filled with other vehicles illegally parked on one side. A not-very-pleased lady then got out of her Honda and went up to the camera car before giving him/her a piece of her mind. We don't hear or see anything from the camera car's end but we reckoned something happened, causing the lady to flash her middle finger before heading back into her Fit. Sadly, we don't get see how this silly battle of pride and ego ends in the video. In our opinion, both drivers seemed foolish. Is it so hard to just give way so that everyone can move on?   16. Hi, Just got my Jade in August. Having some problem with the doors. Advice appreciated. Problem 1. Car locked. Remote in pocket. Not able to unlock the door on the passenger side. Have to unlock the door from driver side. Once unlock from driver side, then only can be lock and unlock from passenger side. Once car locked, and walked away from car for 10 to 15 mins, cannot unlock from passenger side again (no response when holding on to the handle). Have to first unlock from driver side before the passenger side door work normally again. Problem 2. Boot door. Almost the same as above but with additional problem. Cannot lock with the button under the handle. When I pressed the lock button, no sound, no light, no function. When I pressed the unlock button, got sound, got light but cannot open the boot. All doors able to lock and unlock using the remote control Any bros with similar experience or can recommended workshop that can resolve the above issues.

  18. After watching this clip that was spotted on SG Road Vigilante, we can't help but see the importance of being able keep our own temper in control. Losing one's temper is easy and when not kept in check, you might end up doing something you will regret in the future. Shot on the evening of 26th of September 2020 along Central Blvd, a Honda Accord can be seen in the video cutting in from the left of the camera car at high speed before slamming onto its brakes real hard. The camera car, which itself seems to be going along at quite some speed, could not stop in time and crashed into the Accord as the result. While no one can confirm the Accord driver's intention, it is almost safe to say that he just wanted to let the camera knock into him by braking hard to a stop for no reason. As it was a slight bump, no one was hurt. The Accord driver then got out calmly and proceed to take some photos. So guys, what do you reckon? Is this part of a road rage incident which the camera car's footage did not show? Or is it an insurance scam? Or is it a combination of both? Let us know in the comments below!

  21. Now this is a good one for debating. Do you think the lady in the Honda Shuttle is wrong, or its just the taxi driver being difficult? As shown on SG Road Vigilante's page, a clip shot by a Premier taxi driver, shows a lady in her Honda Shuttle blocking the drop off/pickup point of Katong Shopping Center on 7th of Aug 2020. The reason she is blocking everyone is that she wanted to reverse into the parallel lot beside the taxi but in order for her to do so, all the cars, including the taxi behind, her has to reverse. Now that can be quite a hassle to everyone... So without seeing the first part of this incident, could it be that the taxi driver was being difficult from the start and could have just reversed for her to go into the lot? Or do you guys reckoned that the Honda driver was just a little bit too self-entitled?

Posted by My Grandfather's Road, another traffic-shaming facebook page, is this video of a Honda City that almost came to a complete stop while on the first lane of the ECP. It is unclear how long ago this accident happened as the in-car camera video dates the incident on the 27th of Dec 2019 but the post was published today, 22nd of July 2020. We have no idea why the Honda driver attempted to slow down. Could it be that he or she realised that there is an exit and wanted to turn off at the last minute?
  24. Last weekend saw Singapore going into Phase 2, whereby almost every industry could become operational again. With showrooms closed for more than a month since the start of our lockdown, naturally this weekend also saw some decent traffic. Unfortunately, one test drive in particular went bad for this particular Honda shopper at Leng Kee... We don't have details on exactly what happened but it does look like this Red Honda Jazz that was probably going through a test drive, isn't going to be sold as a new car anytime soon. On the bright side, we can be sure that Honda's safety features sure work very well. P.S. We reckon with the upcoming all new Jazz's Honda Sensing safety suite, this accident could have been avoided.
