  1. Which would you choose? Why? I would choose Accord, simply because - Accord comes in 5 speed auto (against Camry's 4 sp auto) - Accord is S$6,000 cheaper than the Camry - Accord carries Honda's F1 racing technology - Honda's overall built quality and finishing is better - Accord's glitches, if any, has been sorted out. Camry is a new model, and there is bound to be some glitches, as in all new models * Prices refer to 2 litre models sold in Singapore
  2. Just saw the new tom yam accord on the road today....conclusion....veli ugly

  12. Thinking of buying either one of them, in your view which one is better? My driving style is first to go when red light turns green, and enjoy taking fast cornering, twisty curve and band. Fuel consumption is also one considering factor. Your view please.
  13. Hi, I'm currently thinking of changing my ride to the new Honda Civic 1.8. It looks really cool on the road & I bet the numbers of it on the road are growing fast. But first, I would like hear some reviews from any of the owners here. Anyone? Thanks.
  14. Hey guys, My ride is about 3mths old..it has alrdy gone thru the 5k servicing, and im still on mineral oil..I am on 15inch rims and evrything is stock and i have no excess items in my boot... I noticed my consumption has gone up..before the 5k servicing, i am still averaging 12km/l..now im abt 10-11km/l...although my routing is abt 40%city 60%highway, i still find it abit high consumption wise.. How abt the rest of you guys? Care to share feedbacks on your rides? Another thing i noticed, when im on reverse gear, i can make out some cackling sounds from the engine..is it normal? My friend's ride is averaging 15km/l and has nvr dropped below 15km/l... I have tried driving slowly and not letting the rpm exceed 2.5k but it doesn't seem to help.. Pls share your opinions and advices..thanks!!
  15. We are looking to start a family and reluctantly looking to let go our 2-seater and buying a family sedan. This is a limited edition Del Sol with less than 15 in Singapore. Our car is in lotus white color (pearl white), is a sports cabriolet coupe with a manual targa roof, with bucket seats. Looking to get $30k. The car COE is till July 2011 and in excellent condition, with most of the parts changed within the last 2 years. Interested, please PM me!
  16. Did Honda Fit ever come in 1500cc? I though it comes in only 1324cc? http://www.sgcarmart.com/main/info-2AWQOkh-1000.html
  17. Saw a row of brand new unregsitered Honda Civics at the Kah Mtrs workshop with the front and rear bumpers unsprayed. Is it cheaper to respray in Singapore than to spray it at the factory in Japan? Cost cutting measure?
  18. My wife & I has a small argument over the new face-lift Honda City recently. We were shopping for a new car and the city was on our list. We both loved the Vtec engine which as both powerful and economy as well as the spacious boot & Ultra seats. But we can't agree on the styling of the car. For me I think the FL City looks much better then its predecessor. It finally managed to look more proportioned and sporty but wife begs to differ. She seems unable to shake of the ghost of the pre-FL city and insisted that it still looks funny. I understand that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder but I am hoping to get your personal comments here fm car lovers, what do you think?
  19. er.. which one you guys will go for?? RX8 engine better or the Type R?
  20. It's Honda's turn. Anyone received the recall notice? TOKYO : Honda Motor will recall about 270,000 of its vehicles, mostly sold in Japan, due to defects in electric circuits and engine-linked parts. Honda will recall Odyssey minivans and Life small cars after receiving reports of two Odysseys catching fire and 104 cases in which Life engines shut down suddenly, a transportation ministry official said. "In the cases with Odyssey, electric circuits for the windshield wipers have problems that they may catch fire when it's freezing due to the cold," said the official. The Life models had generator problems, which can lead to the battery running down and suddenly shutting down the engine, he said. Honda will recall 117,500 Odyssey vehicles, of which 85,000 are in Japan and the rest in China, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand, a company spokesman said. The Life small car is only sold in Japan. The company will recall 153,000 of them, he said. Japanese companies have faced a growing number of damaging recalls in recent weeks, including a battery defect crisis at electronics giant Sony. Separately, Mazda Motor Corp said it will recall 12,235 cars sold in Japan due to defects in airbags that might suddenly open up, a company spokeswoman said.

  23. New fabric and chrome for the FR-V Honda promised to reveal the new 2007 model of the FR-V / Edix on the auto salon in Paris. Compared to the 2006 model there are a few minor updates to spot. It isn't exactly a major overhaul. The grille and the door handles have been updated with darker chromium. At the back side Honda has changed the arches a bit, this to make the FRV / Edix look sportier. Also the darkened reflectors in the rear light units and headlight units make the FRV / Edix look sportier. In the interior the changes are minor as well. Just a bit more storage space and some new fabrics. Further will the FRV be equipped with some carbon elements in the interior and a audioplug for a MP3 player (Ipod). For the first time the FRV will become available with a 5 speed automatic gearbox. This gearbox is mounted to a 140 Bhp 1.8 liter i-VTEC, which replaces the old 1.7 and 2 liter petrol engines. For those who prefer diesel, a 2.2 liter diesel engine with 140 Bhp will be available. The Diesel engine will be equipped with a filter. Hopefully this new model will become a bigger success then the old model, since its sales were a bit behind on the expectations.
