I am talking about "DURING" the actual inspection, after installing the LTA-approved exhaust. Will they penalise you for other mods which are illegal? I mena like if you turn up in really dark tinted windows and stuff like dat. Will you kenna for other mods when getting the approval for the exhasut?

Just sent my car for 3rd year inspection yesterday. I was standing beside and watch as they were checking and testing my car. My car suspension was like 'floating up' when the front wheels were on the roller, and it sort of 'sink down' when it was testing on rear wheels. I suspect the machine(roller) is testing the brake system. But i am curious on why the car will move up and down in the process. The car is stationary and there is no forward trust or momentum. Can someone explain the phenomenon?

hi bros out there, Just a simnple qns to ask. How long does one need to wait for new car inspection? My PI told me my car is Q-ing for inspection. Though i know inspection can be done within a day, but what about the Q-ing?

Guys...I saw many cars on the road with modded bodykits, super-tinted windows, super reflective numbers plates, etc, etc....how on earth do these cars pass inspection? I don't believe they remove everything and then put back again.

How do pass the inspection with those mod in your car? My 1st inspection coming soon, i did some mod on my car, replace extractor & operate muffler. Do i need to change it before i go for the inspection? hope to hear some advise...thanks!

My ride will be 3 yrs old in the 1st week of Aug, & need to send for inspection b4 I can renew my road tax. My next servicing will be due soon, & I plan to do it on this coming Sat. Should I send it for inspection after my servicing on Sat? or wait until end July than go for the inspection?

Received a letter to go for Tuff-Kote annual inspection. According to the letter, the warranty will be invalid if don't go. Must we pay for the inspection? How much?

hi, would like to seek your advice. just did my car inspection. overall result is pass, but i was "advised to remove the sun-x (the sticker) on my windscreen cos it was too "big" and then there's a red ink chop (which i can't see what it's written), except something about 7 days... so would like to ask what's now? do i really need to remove my sticker? thanks alot!

Just kena failed inspection at Ayer Rajar STA because of a very small piece exhaust mod, the technician there si bei on the ball, open bonnet, go under the car, 3 guys examined the car with huge torch light, the visual inspection took almost 15 minutes. Thought that place no business, will relax a bit, but I was wrong.

Hi all, my car is due to inspection in march. Wonder if there is any could recommend some workshop which will help me to inspect & repair any fault before going to inspection. As it is my first time going for inspecting. All I know is that i need to do wheel alignment too. (car drift to left side when moving.) Will they help to check if i need to change type as well? -
I will be going for car inspection soon as required by LTA. This is my first time. Would like advise on the following: 1. What is the cost of inspection? I will be using Vicom at Bukit Batok since near my place. 2. Better to inspect first or service the car prior to inspection? My car is coming to 3 years old, so I do not think any major problem. If I go for servicing and also get the mechanics to look out for inspection fault, I afraid they might take advantage. Thanks for assisting.

Hi all, Anyone knows if i need to go for inspection again if I buy a 2nd hand muffler (LTA approved one with certification) or its just a case of bolt on & keep the cert in the car? Any help much appreciated. Thks!

Hi folks, I don't know what I am typing up there in the topic ... but anyway, here's my query. I read from hardwarezone that there has been many cases of cars failing inspection due to grounding items under the bonnet, and this is something which I actually did not think about all these while. What can we say about stuffs like grounding? Or even voltage stabiliser that comes with grounding cables as well? Are this "pass-able" for inspection? Ed
