Hi all, about car leather seat, how they make it? say from factory is just normal seat, then AD have option for leather seat. is current cover material of the seat they remove 1st then cover the foam with the leather or.. they just cover entire current seat with the leather? thanks for any info/ reply

Hi guys, Was conditioning my leather seats using Meguiars Leather conditioner yesterday,what i did was squeeze a bit of the conditioner on the seats then i start using a MF sponge to spread it out. To my horror,the seats was stained with the conditioner.Please see attached pics.Anybody experienced this before?How do i remove the stain?

alrite..i've receive complaint that my recaros are "dirty". they looked clean to me but probably trap too many dust over the time and pple wif sensitive skin find their skin to be alittle itchy after seating. (frankly speaking i ok leh..maybe i elephant skin) anyone can recommend a good steam cleaning outlet probably ard west/north or sin ming area? also, any idea wat the cost is like? another question is..is it worthwhile to wrap leather? 2 more yrs to go before coe expires and haf no idea wanna renew or not. anyway for my budget probably is go into boleh land and wrap.. any recommendation or advice? thankS!

hi bros, just wanna ask a question, today i was rushing after some badminton game. did not change and drove my ride in sweaty shorts. later discovered the leather seat was creased and soggy after i got off. any advice on wat 2 do after situations like tis??? many thanks

Do you need expensive leather cleaners for car leathers? Nope. Don't get conned as there are cheaper ways of doing it. Here are my candidates: Ikea Leather Cleaner: Freaking cheap. Does the job well but is not a conditioner so it will no introduce oils to keep your leather soft. But it does contain silicones which by themselves are very good for leather. Protects and seals the oils already inside. Murphy's Oil Soap: Originally used for wood floors and wood furniture. It is soap but will not wash away the oils already in the leather so it does not dry up. Nice citrus fragrance. Cheapest of the all. 1/4cup can dilute to 1USGAL of solution for regular cleaning. No rinse. Stronger will be 1/2cup to 1USGAL. No rinse as well but I prefer to wipe over with water when using stronger solution. Lemon Pledge Leather: More of a polisher/conditioner than cleaner. Has silicones to lock in the oil to prevent leather from drying out. Ikea Leather Cleaner can be bought from Ikea. Murphy's Oil Soap can be found in Home Fix DIY. Get the regular and not the spray and mop version. Lemon Pledge Leather can be found in most supermarkets. Just to let all of you know that there are just as effective household stuff that can be used in cars rather than the exhorbitantly priced "made for car" stuff.

Hi folks, I have a watch that was given to me as a present and over the years, the leather strap sort of went kapoot.... I called the distributing agent and was quoted 100+ for a replacement strap. I was wondering if there are other places that can help me replace the strap at a lower cost (obviously it wouldn't be an "original" strap but I can make do without it.) Thanks all.

Instead of leather wipes, you may wish to try using Johnson & Johnson moisturizer to detail your leather seat. No need for huge quantity, just a bit and your leather is going to smell good and protected (Not too sure if it really will do the job). I was impressed by the wet and slick look when my girlfriend's father uses that on his leather seats.

Hi, What is Bycast leather? Difference from PVC or PU Leather? How to tell the difference? Is there different grades of Bycast leather? I have seen Barang Barang bycast leather sofa and other 'no name' shops bycast leather sofa or PU leather. i can tell the difference between Barang Barang's and other shops by feeling the sofas The Barang one feels more like leather. i can even scratch the sofa and marks are left on it. Feels like leather. But the other 'no name' shops', it really feels like PVC or whatever, i cannot scratch it with marks. Feels like rubber or PVC materials

Dear All I spilt my coffee on the rear leather seat of my mazda 3. The coffee immediately seeped into the leather. I tried to use a cloth to blot out the coffee to no avail. I poured plain water and tried to blot out whatever i could, but no use as the water immediately absorbed by the seat. Can someone help me?

Bought it at NTUC Fairprice for less than $13 yesterday. It is really easy to use and cleans my leather seats very well and I am 100% happy with it. The leather also feels softer with a slight gloss. Really value for money and the best I have used so far other than 3M. Just sharing with you people...........

The synthetic leather of my after market armrest started to peel. Thinking of giving it a rewrap with a genuine leather. Does anyone know where is a good & economic place to do it?
