sigh...... after several years of use, my beige leather is no longer beige, more like grey leather liow! anywhere or know anyone who restores leather seats? I tried the DIY meguiar's leather cleaner but not much use, becomes soft only but color still the same. pls help, thks! fluffy

My fabric seats are getting crummy and dirty after 2 yrs. Went to 8 Cushion yesterday and narrowed down to these 2 colours. The lady boss quoted me $730 for half-leather. Only the coloured portion of the seats will be leather (either red or blue), the sides and door trims, head rests will be PVC. Do you think the price is reasonable? My interior trim looks exactly in the picture. Please vote to help me decide the colour, blue or red....hmmm my head is spinning

Not sure hv anyone try the both the Autoglym Chamois Leather or Mictopak WW drying towels? Which is better in term of absorbing water and lesser scratch? Current i am using the Autoglym Synthetic Chamois Leather .. find it quite good but wl also like to try out the WW dring towel ...

just like to find out which leather conditioner that gives out the wet look? which brand should i use for my interior such as rubber seal, dash board, trimming that can give out a wet look? thanks;p

The Nissan Sunny leather seats are not 100% leather. It is 1/2 leather, meaning only those places where your body has contact with are genuine leather (the bum and backrest area). Th rest of the seats (sides and back) are actually PVC (otherwise called synthetic leather). The PVC looks and feels exactly like leather, but if you press your fingers against the PVC, the surrounding area is smooth, no ceases. When you press your fingers against genuine leather, you see ceases in the surrounding area round your finger. Realised this only when I sat in my friend's 1 month old Sunny today. My friend was shocked too. He said Tan Chong's SE told him the car seats are "leather", but neveer mentioned anything that it is actually 1/2 leather. Pick up OK, but had to rev to at least 3,000 rpm esp in 1st 2 gears to get adequate pick up (auto). Engine relatively quiet. -
Hi people, I've noticed a slight tear in one of my front leather seat (passenger side) recently. About 2.5cm long. Don't know what caused it though? The tear is not deep. From what I can see, it's only on the surface. But line is obvious enough to be seen. Am afraid that it will detrioriate further later. Anything I can do to salvage it (other than putting a piece of ugly tape over it)? Or having it changed, caused that'll caused mucho $$. Rgds AC

With the popularity of beige coloured leather, leather cleaning is more important than ever. I am finding that its not really easy to maintain. Anyone got good recommendations for DIY leather cleaning that will not cause more harm than good?

I was doing a little window shopping at a shop selling car care products, than I saw this Turtle Wax Platinum Series Leather Cleaner & Conditioner. I had tried the wax and was pretty happy with the result, so thought of trying out this leather cleaner since my leather seat also getting quite dirty liao . The cleaner is quite creamy in texture, slightly off white in colour and the smell is not too strong too. So with a MF towel, I started working with it on my car leather seat and surprisingly, the dirt stain came out pretty easily and it does not leave an oily feel to the leather seat. Before After When I got back home I took it to the test again and tried it out on my leather sofa which was not cleaned with any leather cleaner for the past 4 years . And again I'm pretty impressed by the result. As you can see from the photo the right treated portion looks much cleaner and whiter than the untreated left portion. So for those who are looking for a 1 step leather cleaner & conditioner, this Turtle Wax Platinum Series Leather Cleaner & Conditioner might be something you want to consider .

Hi guys, Any advice on how to take proper care of leather seats? Wad are the steps in cleaning and treating them? - wipe with warm water? - apply leather cream? which leather cream is good and value for money? How often do you have to apply the cream?

Intending to buy one Altis Corrolla. However find the pricing for leather seats at $988 a bit stiff. Fitting not done by JS. May forgo leather but wanna know if there other better after sales packages out there. Also would like to have the wooden grain panels but doubt it could be done for basic entry models. Anyone know where I could get it done after sales and at what cost. Thanks in advance for help.

Been quoted $1200 + 5% GST to do up the whole car (Full leather) including door panels and arm rest. Also they said that they will do up the car brand logo too. So what do you think, worth or not?
