  1. Hi fellas, Anybody know if valet parking is offered at Marina Mandarin, Conrad Hotel or any other hotels within walking distance to Suntec? Got a full day of events at Suntec tomorrow from dawn till past dusk, and am thinking of flat-rate valet parking at the abovementioned hotels to save on parking costs. Any info on the flat-rate valet parking fees at these hotels would be very useful. Any advice? :) Thanks much.

  3. Saw this White Honda Civic zipping in and out of lanes when I was at BKE going into KJE towards Jurong. Must be rushing to pang sai so I simply shrugged it off when he was ahead of me, zig-zagging here and there.. Suddenly when I was cruising near CCK exit, saw this civic struck behind another car ( make unknown ) for a few seconds.. The car was going at perhaps 100km/hour. Yes. Road hogging. I got no problems with it as I was in middle lane. Suddenly this white civic chut pattern.. sped in front of the car in lane 1.. Jammed brake to 50km/hour. Then when the car behind knew that he was road hogging, switched to 2nd lane which was my lane and I was already in front watching the show unveil.. The white civic idiot still not happy, switched back to middle lane to jam brake on the car who is not finding trouble. I was already way in front as I kept my speed to 110km/hour.. then when he finished his s--t, he sped and overtook me and disappeared into one of the Jurong Exit.. Anyone knows where he stays exactly? I hope to pay him a visit one of these days to check out his nice car. Please pm me. I tried searching for his car details but seem that this car did not exist. Cant be leh.

  5. Baffles me as well... From ST Forum: http://www.straitstimes.com/STForum/Online...ory_703082.html Baffled by body find near Istana YESTERDAY'S report ('Decayed body found in drain near Istana grounds') concerned and baffled me. The grounds of the Istana, its surroundings and peripheral roads and byways are supposed to be protected and heavily guarded by auxiliary police officers, Singapore Armed Forces personnel and officers from the Security Command of the Singapore Police Force. I also understand there are round-the-clock perimeter patrols carried out by auxiliary police officers who are tasked with maintaining stringent security standards. Thus it baffles me that none of the auxiliary police officers on perimeter patrols came across the corpse, even when the body was decomposing. It takes about 30 hours for decomposition to occur in this climate and the stench can be detected kilometres away. It is strange that police officers who are trained to be alert did not stumble across the body, let alone smell the decomposition in the air. Lionel De Souza
  6. http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/S...ory_702663.html An unidentified body has been found near the back gates of the Istana this morning. Police have cordoned the area along Cavenagh Road and are investigating. Onlookers have reported a rotten stench in the area.

  23. I came across an accident between a Stream and Lancer GLX if I am not wrong.Apparently the Lancer kena kissed backside . First thing that come to mind was that I felt like getting down and kicked the stream driver bloody ASS. Not only he jammed up the whole expressway cos of accident, dented the whole bumper of the other car , cant help but to think "Jialek, next year car insurance going to rocket sky high !!! Thing is, everyone knows it is not the driver's will to create the accident giving reasons like the front vehicle jammed brake suddenly lah etc etc.. But many time cannot escape from the fact that it is carelessness and taking things for granted attitude that caused the accident. It don't just concern you and the other driver so exercise caution and consideration when on the roads.
  24. wtf http://www.theage.com.au/world/plane-explo...1104-17f40.html A plane has exploded over Batam, Indonesia, en route to Singapore, according to Indonesian media reports and there are fears it may have been a Qantas jet. The reports of the explosion, which occurred at 9.15am local time (1.15pm Australian time), are sketchy and the type of plane unconfirmed. But local media are speculating that some of the debris was from a Qantas jet. Advertisement: Story continues below Kompas reported on its website that it "was suspected that a Qantas plane exploded in the air near Batam". "The big explosion happened near Hang Nadim airport," the report continued, adding the plane was heading to Singapore. It provided no sourcing for the report. An eyewitness, Hana, told Metro TV, that she saw a plane that was on fire overhead before hearing a loud explosion. Parts of the plane have reportedly landed in heavily populated areas in Batam and near the airport, including near a shopping centre. Batam, in the Riau Islands, is just south of Singapore. Comment was being sought from local transport authorities and Qantas. More to come
  25. Just helping a fellow motorist. If you happened to witness the accident, do contact the Stomper. http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...n_accident.html STOMPer AlvinL was the victim of a hit-and-run car accident last Wednesday (Oct 20) and is appealing for eye-witnesses to come forward to help him claim justice. The STOMPer gave more details: "I was involved in a collision last Wednesday night, 20th Oct 2010, at around 11.25pm, along the PIE after the CTE exit near the Woodsville flyover. "There were road works along the PIE that had already caused an accident. "While I was going around the accident, a white van that was travelling too fast behind me hit the left rear end of my car with a bang. "The van then sped off into Kallang way exit while I was stabilising my car. "If anyone witnessed the accident or notices a white van with a damaged right front bumper, please come forward." Anyone with information pertaining to this accident may contact Stomp at [email protected]
