  3. Just came back from Leng Kee Car Mart. Never expected I would get what i didnt actually want at first. A Nissan Sunny. I was searching for a Honda Civic 98-99. But everyone said most of them were scrapped coz the COE at that time was sky high. So couldn't afford a 2001 Civic VTi ($77k). Only had a under $60k budget. So narrowed down to a Clio, Lancer and Sunny. Clio was out, coz twas too darn small, but cute. I test drove the Lancer, acceptable but laggish on the pickup. A 2000 1.3l, that was the drawback, 1.3litre, but $57k. Never gave a Nissan a second look till i sat inside. The one i was in was the Super Saloon with full options. Leather seats, wood grain and blahblah. Dammit, i already imagined my gf sitting inside with me. HAHAH. Its a 2+yr old, 2001. And what's more, the colour was Grey, not that super common silver. So decided to test drive it. Didn't turn out that bad, rather smooth, quiet. Then did lotsa checks and stuff with my dad. So in the end, got it for $62k. And to trade-in my old crappy proton saga, finally! Is that a good buy? Tell me what I can actually add on to this. And i really wanna debadge the 'Sunny' and 'super saloon'. How do i do that? Thanks to MCF which showed me some light in buying a car. Thanks alot, else i'd be super blur just now.
  4. Good Day to all. This is my first post and i am asking for advice, very pai seh and pls dont feel offended. My friend went to view a Sunny 1.5 VIP Auto car today. The dealer is asking $55,500. OMV at $15,324. COE at $40,484. Its a 07/99 car. Paper value is $45,843 as of 01/03/03. Fresh coat of paint. Tires still got abt 80 to 90%. Looks accident free. Milage 70000km. Will be sending to STA for inspection. May i know whether this deal is worth it? Thks for any advice.
  5. I am just curious, are there aftermarket Japanese Suspensions? As I understand, Koni, Sachs and Bilstein are European or US made. For Camry and Cefiro what can be used?

  7. An interesting article about the legendary Skyline Full article available at http://www.autotrade.com.my/emzine/review/...d=RT.ATC.CAR.FS ======= The Skyline is a respected model in Japan because it has quite a long history. The first generation was built in 1955 by the Prince Motor Company. At that time, Prince Motor was an independent automaker, having evolved from the Tama Electric Car Company which had been formed by the Tachikawa Aircraft Company. Prince Motor was merged with Nissan in 1966 when the Japanese government urged the larger car manufacturers to take on the smaller ones in order to make the motor industry stronger and more competitive. However, given the fame of Prince Motor and its Skyline, the company still has a
