Hi Apology if you'd read this but someone suggested to post separately so as not to clutter's other bros thread. So starting a new thread here first for fellow Skoda bros to have a go at it first. I'm hoping to sell before I renew my 6th year of ownership next month. Here's the details: Owner: 1st Colour: Red Engine: 1.8T Tranny: Manual Date of Reg: 24Mar01 OMV: 20.6k Mileage: 80K (mostly in local roads, only been driven once to JB to Holiday Inn , so never been chiong) Current paper: I think at least 35k or 38k as I got it last week from a dealer but lost it liao. Condition: unmod, all the stuff are factory original, so good for modders & chiongsters. No major accidents (1 very minor one becos of stupid taxi hit my backside but claimed & repaired liao). Some superficial scratches & dinks on sides and I suspect some jealous drivers conveniently walk pass. Maintaintenace: regularly thr Servo (as agent JTA went missing after I got my car...luckily). Can verify with Dennis/Philips on that. Selling becos can't drive a manual (sadly as I love them and been driving a manual all my life since my first car) and baby is on the way.

Haha... lucky we have this private folder, if not I'll be going against the forum rules by posting this Skoda Octavia eyelids looking for new owner! Bought this from C708 donkey years ago but never got round to applying them to the car... Been lying around collecting dust, figured I might as well let go of them... Bought for $75, letting go at $50 flat! There's a slight crack on one of the eyelids, but after spraying and patching up at the spray shop, would be okay. You would have to apply your own double sided tape or glue to fix them on your headlamps Be unique! Heard from the CA guys that management is considering bringing in the new Octavia in early 2006. Anyone knows if this is the plan or just pure rumours? If true, then it will be exciting to see which model introduced and the price range.

They'll be launched by the end of the year, however - probably at the Frankfurt show this autumn - and as seen in these pics, they'll come in Combi estate form as well as five-door hatchback bodystyles. The new vRS will feature the 200bhp turbocharged 2.0-litre engine, with FSI direct-injection technology, as in the Volkswagen Golf GTI. High-performance diesel vRS models, with the VW Group 160bhp 2.0 TDI engine - also to appear in the Golf GTI - are also on the way. Hi, the current battery is about 1.5 years old and current mileage is 41000KM. As I understand, it is high time to change the battery when it is about 2 years old or usage of 40,000KM. What is the specs of the battery? As I understand not all battery even with the right AMP is suitable. Do PM the estimated/best price.

hi everyone, A colleague of mine is purchasing an Ambiente, Silver car, has a malay previous owner. Tested the car, and found out that driving at 100 kmh, the ambiente is showing 3000 rpm where my classic is at 2500 rpm. Guess it is due to the gear ratio, however, like to confirm. Ivan

Ok... Here are the 2 things which I'd like to find out abt Skoda Octavia... 1)Does it have a reserve fuel tank? If it does, when does the reserve tank kick in? 2)The mechanic tat did my 50K servicing told me tat the Octavia aircon doesn't use aircon filter. Is tat true? Because I asked him whether aircon filter needs replacement or not since I'm doing my 50K servicing... Thanks

Went to see an Octy. Wonder whats the going rate for one now? A few Ks above Papare Value? or what? How was the price of a mid 2004 Octy brand new? I was rather perturbed when a 2004 registered octy was manufactured in 2002. Any probs with that? Advice please from bros here. LCL

Some of you guys in the club must've seen those nice Milotec lifters on Tifosi and Skodarr's cars.... Much sought after... After months and months, I've finally found an alternative to the Milotec ones (Milotec - difficult to get your hands on them) I ordered these Bonrath ones meant for the Octy off this webby http://performance.rallynuts.com/ Total Damage was 62 pounds via credit card, billed only upon shipment... The package arrived yesterday and got it fixed up today at Servo... Hi - went to the local website and found that they have renamed the AMB to Tour. The previous promotion price has also been removed. Anyone know what is the latest price for the Tour, and how long more before it will be replaced by the new Octavia?

Hey all, just joined the site, having recently acquired a Skoda Octavia 1.9tdi. Just wondering where can I get some kit for it? i.e. I want to change the front grille, and lower her? Does anyone know how much it can be lowered to? And whats the biggest wheels you can put on? I seen milotecs website, is there any other suppliers? Cheers!
