  3. LOS ANGELES, July 19, 2012 (AFP) - A man known for his enormous penis was stopped by security at San Francisco International airport and questioned about the bulge in his pants, he was reported as saying Thursday. Jonah Falcon, 41, has an organ which is 9.5 inches long when flaccid and 13 inches (33 centimeters) erect, according to Rolling Stone magazine. He has featured in a number of documentaries about the world's biggest penises. He was returning to New York from San Francisco on July 9 when he was stopped, after Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents saw a bulge hanging down over his left upper thigh. "They wanted to know if I had something in my pockets, and when I said no, they asked if I had some sort of growth," he said, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. He told them it was his penis, and they checked around his crotch, although not too closely. He was delayed for five minutes. The incident was not his first. "I've gone through the (scanner) before, and I wasn't worried. What was the worst that was going to happen? I was going to have to whip it out for them? I'm used to that. Sometimes when people ask me about it, if I'm feeling up to it, I'll just show them." In a tweet at the time Falcon said: "TSA didn't know what to make of the massive bulge on my thigh. Even after I went through that body scanner that shows you naked..." A 2003 Rolling Stone story entitled "Mr. Big" reported that Falcon's penis was eight inches long when he was only 10 years old. It quoted his mother as saying his organ size was genetic. "He was born like that, and he was always big for his age. But it's not his big penis, it's society's need to fixate on it. We're in a world where men see their manhood in their penises." The TSA did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Nor did Falcon
  4. I got the feeling she hired very good lawyers AsiaOne Thursday, Jun 07, 2012 SINGAPORE - The undergraduate who attacked four police officers after having too much to drink has been sentenced to 15 months of probation and ordered to perform 100 hours of community service. Undergrad in court for attacking 4 police officers Natasha Wan Xue Wen, 24, pleaded guilty to using criminal force and abusive words on public servants, and behaving in disorderly manner. Wan is also required to stay at home from 11pm to 6am during her probation period. Her parents signed a $5,000 bond to ensure her good behaviour. She was warned by the district judge that anything other that strict adherence to these conditions could have her hauled back to court to be sentenced. At about 4am on October 26 last year, two policemen saw a bouncer escorting Wan, her boyfriend Lim Zhao Ming, and another man out of Zouk. Mr Lim had a cut, and bloodstains on his shirt. The two officers asked if he had been assaulted, and if he needed medical treatment. Mr Lim shouted at the policemen, and Wan suddenly punched an officer in the face and began hurling vulgarities. When two female police officers arrived to arrest Wan, she put up a struggle. On the way to the police station, Wan head-butted one of the female officers and bit the other on the wrist and hand. The officer who was bitten had to be warded in hospital for six days and given 13 days' medical leave. [email protected]
  5. I was driving home today from work in lane two at normal speed, suddenly two fast cars, one on lane ONE, the other lane THREE, zoomed past very fast on my right and left sides.... before i knew it, saw few TP bikes in the bus bay 300m ahead, and two TPs moving to the centre of the road to stop cars going pass........ not surprisingly, the two fast cars slowed down, but to my surprise, only the one on lane ONE kena gestured to park by the roadside near the TP bikes, the one on lane THREE was waved off..... i remembered both were 'racing' at the same speed when they zoomed pass me few seconds ago!! there were at least 3 TP bikes there, surely combining the speed cams/guns they have, it's possible to track all the cars, in all three lanes! Any bros saw similar situations before?
  6. http://sg.news.yahoo.com/half-australians-...-063132099.html Some 50 percent of Australians want an end to the nation's immigration programme because they believe the country has too many people, a poll showed on Tuesday. The survey of 2,000 people, conducted for the tabloid Sydney Daily Telegraph newspaper, found 51 percent thought "our population is too high (and) we should stop immigration". Australia has some 23 million people, compared to 19.6 million a decade ago. Canberra set its immigration programme for the year to June at 185,000 places, with another 13,750 slots available to refugees on humanitarian grounds. But in the poll only 32 percent of respondents felt Australia should welcome more immigrants and almost two thirds, some 65 percent, said "migrants should adopt the Australian way of life". The responses revealed a marked swing away from the more tolerant attitudes of previous surveys conducted in 2005, 2001 and 1995, the newspaper said. Immigration expert Bob Birrell said fears over job security in the shaky global economy and local pressures on infrastructure were behind the shift in opinion. The poll came as two asylum-seeker boats carrying some 82 passengers were intercepted off northern Australia on Monday -- taking the number of boats to arrive to four in as many days. A total of 42 boats carrying 3,261 asylum seekers have arrived so far this year, causing Australia's refugee detention budget to spiral to more than Aus$1 billion (US$1 billion). Though they come in relatively small numbers by global standards, the issue of asylum-seekers is a political flashpoint in Australia, dominating national elections in 2010, when a record 6,555 boatpeople arrived from Asia. Immigration Minister Chris Bowen said the rush this year was "unsurprising" given the failure of a planned refugee swap deal with Malaysia in 2011 intended to deter people smuggling, after the High Court of Australia struck it down. The government was forced to abandon offshore processing of asylum-seekers and release many detainees to live in the community after the conservative opposition blocked attempts to get around the ruling. Bowen said it was essential to find more effective deterrents to stop people making the perilous maritime journey, usually from Indonesia. "You are going to continue to see people arriving by boat which means you're going to continue to see deaths at sea," he said.

  10. Pooling resources in property investment This 27-year-old accountant wants more than just a fixed salary in her working life and property investment offers a way to financial security. Sat, Mar 24, 2012 The Star/Asia News Network By Daniel Sim Singapore-based accountant Melissa Low, 27, wants more than just a fixed salary in her working life and property investment offers a way to financial security. While many professionals in her age-group are enjoying life, Low spends her weekends visiting showrooms, properties for re-sale and seminars to enhance her knowledge. Growing up in Malaysia, Low has always been a go-getter. She was a scholar, an avid chess player and also a valedictorian in school. Despite being employed full time, she still finds time to follow in her father's footsteps in business ventures and property investment. Melissa graduated with a degree in accounting and finance from Nilai International College with the help of a scholarship from the Star Education Fund in 2003. One of her latest property purchases is a 37sq m (400sq ft) studio apartment in Johor Baru. Her investment acumen has been honed by previous business ventures. "I started with selling bags online but the market was too competitive. I also started a bubble tea business with a partner that I met online. But things didn't work out, so we closed it after six months," recalls Melissa. " I began reading property investment books by Milan Doshi and Ho Chin Soon. I was attracted to the idea of earning passive income from investing in property. "What's more interesting, is the fact that it offers me flexibility and time to focus on my work in Singapore while enjoying good rental returns with my properties in Malaysia," points out Melissa. Landlady The young landlady bought her first property two years ago. It was a 115sq m (1,200sq ft) condominium unit in Mont' Kiara in Kuala Lumpur. The property value has since appreciated more than 20%. Stock vs property "When I explored the possibility of investing in something that would give me a stable rate of returns over the long run, many people told me to invest in the stock market. I did that once but it was not my cup of tea," says Melissa. "Unlike the stock market where shares are traded through a piece of paper and prices fluctuate - and hard to predict - property is tangible and would not suddenly lose its value overnight. If the company goes bust, the shares would be worthless. On the other hand, if you can't sell your property, you can always rent it out while waiting for the property price to appreciate. "Buying property allows you to leverage on money borrowed from the bank where you can borrow up to 90% of the purchase price. This multiplies the buying power of your investment and makes your money work harder. Investing in shares usually involves little or no leverage at all, hence, it is more difficult for your capital to grow. "Investing in property is more focused on location. Based on your budget, you can choose to invest in high-end property or mid-range property. Then zoom in on the location with the property type you want, either with the help of a real estate agent or, in my case, I would Google property portals, such as www.starproperty.my. "But investing in property has its downside too, as it is not as liquid when compared to shares. A property buyer needs to be able to hold the property to generate a profit on a greater scale before selling it. "This is particularly true in times of an economic downturn and there is an oversupply in a particular location that you have invested." Calculated risk It is generally hard for some people to take the first step in property investment because they lack practical guidance and the willingness to take a calculated risk. "The difference between successful people and average people is that besides having ideas that are larger than life, successful people make things happen." For example, one investor would take up personal loans to invest in four units of a particular property development, if he thought the project was a good buy, reveals Melissa. "It is true that you can learn a lot on property investment through books and seminars. But it is different to have someone who not only recommends good properties but also invests with you. "Fortunately, I met Roy Teo who became not only my mortgage broker, real estate agent but also my mentor," says Melissa. According to her, Roy who has five years experience in property investment, changed her perception about studio apartments. Through Roy, she realised how profitable it was if she chose the right studio apartment to invest. To date, she has invested in four properties, one of which, is a commercial unit located near the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC). MISS Club Besides being an accountant and property investor, Melissa has also ventured into event management. In 2010, she started a club called Malaysia Investors in Singapore (MISS). She uses the social media such as Facebook to network with other Malaysians working in Singapore. They all share a common interest in property investment. MISS was formed by Melissa to leverage on group investment power where members can share their knowledge and pool their resources to get better deals. Currently, the group has about 260 online members who meet every three to four months. Millionaire property investors such as Juanita Chin and map-maker Ho Chin Soon are among the personalities invited to share their insight with MISS members.

  20. I was driving into Malaysia and at the Malaysia side of the customs, there was a a traffic jam and cars were inching/merging slowly in multiple columns into the customs lane. All the vehicles were crawling forward and I wanted to change lane and signalled my intention. After a while, when there was a sizeable gap, I shifted my car nose in (about 20% in at an oblique angle). A maroon Toyota Wish driver in the adjacent lane, unhappy that I made it into his lane, came near and pointed his bumper into my driver side door. I stopped moving but he did not. He deliberately turned his steering to the right and continued moving forward, scrubbing his left corner edge of his bumper across my driver side door, leaving paint marks and abrasive scratches, after which he stopped his vehicle right next to mind and gesticulate with the palm-up wave that communicated "you think you can just barge in, dream on!". I'm not going to argue who's right and who's wrong, but I would like to make a claim against his insurance. I only have pictures of his vehicle's rear, and a very blur picture of his face (through the windscreen), and a picture of the damage to my car. What can I do to make the claim?
