  1. Hi all, Just wondering which petrol / ron grade type do you guys use for your Honda Jazz. I will be collecting my vehicle 1.3A Jazz LX soon and am quite curious. So which ron number/grade do you use and how has it been for your vehicle's health? What do you recommend etc. Will be curious to see the different views in this especially for cars which have been more than 3 years in comparison. Thanks
  2. I am seeing lot of Jukes these days. Juke is currently top selling for Nissan. How come no one talks about it here. Let us join... Mine is Juke white and stay in the west.
  3. Ever night without fail, my sleep will be disturbed by car owners with loud alarms. Their alarms are those horn blasts of 7 or 8 intermittent bursts. Its LOUD and IRRITATING when it goes off in a quite night. The funny thing is that its set in a way that it will go off blasting w/o any reasons. Am I right that its just sending out warning by blasting away or to tell ppl around the car is arm with such loud alarms? Cos thru out the whole night it will just repeatedly goes off. Last year, I was carrying my sleeping baby at night when I walked pass this car and for some reason its alarm went off with its loud horn. My baby was so shocked that she felt sick the next day. Who can I make a complain? Can I call the police?

  5. Got this letter from LTA: "We have received feedback from WEC/OPC/ROPC users who suggested that LTA review the penalty imposed for cases where users had missed the payment deadline and had informed LTA before receiving the offence notices. We have reviewed this feedback and are pleased to inform you that users who miss the payment deadline and voluntarily inform LTA of their use of the vehicles within 3 days after the deadline will now be allowed to settled their violation at $30. Payment has to be made at LTA's office at 10 Sin Ming Drive Singapore 575701." hope this helps...

  7. I have attended the Nostalgic Car Owners Meetup on and off in the past 2 years and the group is growing. Basically we meet once every two months or so. Full strength is about 30 cars mainly Jap cars more than about 12 years old, lately conti models such as 1st gen Golf cabrio, classic mini etc joined us also. It's a layback group and the meetups involved chats and ocassional roundings......... it's a low key group but we have 'Concourse' level restored Jap iconic model all the way back to the early 70s!! The guys are easy going and keen to talk about nostalgic rides. S13, Mazda Infini, Beemers, etc turn up when they have the time. My friend is the 'boss' who basically just plays the role of sending sms notice for meetup. If you own / drive a nostagic car, or are interested in these cars, please let me know and I will txt you when 'boss' sends his invitation for the next meetup. PS: do let your friends who drive / own nostagic cars know about this.
  8. Hi to all those who owns Kei Sports Cars in SG. Looking at owners of Suzuki Cappuccino, Honda Beat, Daihatsu Copen, Subaru RX-R. 660cc SPORTS Cars and below. Seems like there are no racings organisations here nor Kei car sports club. I was thinking to set up one and even a forum. Am looking to split the sports enthusiast from the normal city car drivers. Hoping to get a reponse from you guys and hopefully we can work something out to make our Kei Sports Car ownership more enjoyable. Cheers!
  9. Even though I paid a lot for my COE, I have to say I despise car owners and drivers. I have travelled the world and found that car owners are the most arrogant and brash low lifes there are. This is why I prefer to take a bus even though I drive a car. In fact that is where I met my wife Hail to all those down to earth bus commuters and a big screw you to all you speed limit abusing car drivers. In fact you all should PM me if you see any cars speeding. I will report them to TP on your behalf. Next time when I have son, I will tell him to take a bus for life and forget about ever driving a car. It is so much better to wait 15 minutes in sweltering heat at the bus stop and then be crammed like sardines onto a bus then travel in private airconditioned comfort. It is so much healthier to walk 10 mins to my destination than park directly in front of the building. Buses even allow people who were wrongfully dismissed to bring their greviences to a worldwide public! PS: Please don't flame Ahtong for posting this. I am a friend using his account.
  10. Recently, I found my very kilat, highly polished car scratched by someone possibly using car keys since the width of scratch marks resemble them. I had parked my car in a proper lot at a shopping centre as always and right in the centre of the lot so that as to prevent dents on my car doors by other careless drivers when they open theirs. Perhaps whoever the scratcher is, is red-eye and jealous because it's a luxury car. I have this to say to all such low-life car-scratchers. The more cars you scratch, the more bad karma you collect. And you will wonder why your life is so miserable and why people can afford nice cars? Well, you can jolly well blame it on yourself because you will remain low-life for life without any hope whatsoever of living the good life. Sure, it affects me to see my car scratched. But I tell you this. I have the money to send my car to the best car respray centre and it will look as good as before and I can afford it without batting an eyelid. Before you scratch another car, think what come uppance you will receive in the future. You may feel shiok for a while, but the price you ultimately pay is many times worse. I hope you have enough sense to change for the better. If not, continue to live low-life you deserve!

  13. Folks, Pls share with us your experience on ur ride of the Mazda3. The pros and cons. Need to get some feedback from owners before i can deicide which to get I heard that M3 is made from the Volvo S40 platform. That is why it's heavy but has a firm and confort ride. Plus it's 1.2tonnes that makes the stability stink on the road. Sadly it is also known as a drinker or rather petrolholic.... I maybe wrong thus M3 owners, u know the best. Pls share your ride experience and good lobangs on mods as well. Feedback pls.
  14. I am scouring the market to get another car as my 3rd kid is gonna pop. Some cars I saw had CNG installed. I believe when these guys purchased the car, they had a rebate. How much was the rebate? A car dealer told me that when such cars are sold or when scrap, deduct 40% off their OMV cause of the rebate the car owners got when they bought the car, is that correct? Anyway, CNG is a dying fad? All comments welcome.
  15. I think you guys heard the new Proton Inspira , it look totally the same as Lancer If this car comes to singapore , Mitsubishi Lancer owners will be pissed off .
  16. Just asking if there are any other Satria Neo owners in this forum. The car is good at low RPMs but runs out of breath above 5-6K RPM. Can no longer feel the pull. My car is stock except for a K&N filter. A Hotinazma MR VS installed and a Pivot ignition VS (they do improve my FC a little though). Remove spare tyre and no other mods. No grounding wires.
  17. Hi bros or sis, I am looking to get this as a family car. I drove the sedan sti many years ago... Things i don't like about the STI Sedan at that time, was mainly the understeer. Doesn't slice the air as well as my MR2 when travelling at least 220km/h. Feels a little floaty after 250km/h. How does the new Hatchback STI compare to the old one??? Being hatchback, does it handle worse at high speeds? I just need your experience thanks.... I've yet to try one... none of my friends own one. One thought in mind, I'm going to lock the front diff to make the car FR.. Am into drifting...

  20. im looking to upgrade from my current 15" to 17" tyres and rims but the promoter at autobacs told me that i will regret my decision and eventually might wanna downgrade back to 15" as he said that it will be very heavy on the car. anyone here upgraded to 17" on latio? hows the response? is the diff in power very big? bcuz i have considered this drawback but didnt think it will be affected that much.
  21. Hi guys, May I know if there's any methods whereby I can check how many past owners does the 2nd hand car that I'm planning to buy soon have? Even though the SE told me, there's only 1 ex-owner but how can I be sure that she's being honest? Thx for your help.
  22. A bunch of irresponsible and selfish busturds. Don't take decent care of their cars and offload problems to next owner. http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/sin...1099820/1/.html

  25. Hi All... i'm not a car expert mech watever... just have many experiences experimenting with my cars... for all the Sunny N16 owners who have good FC... congrats lucky you... for all those who have been having terrible FC... forget all the bullsh1t gadgets to save fuel... forget able driving so bloody light footed make driving damn sian... we all know higher tyre pressures, lighter loads (boot and passengers), lighter foot, more highway driving, clean air filter, free flowing exhaust, less useage of aircon... etc will give you better FC... first i want you all to know that my N16 is a manual, i drive heavy footed very often... i use 205/16/55... and i get 400km minimum with every full tank (till light comes out)... (sometimes almost 500km up if i continue driving after the light comes on) tats if i really drive as light footed as i can... do note that i pump petrol until there is no flowback(i do not shake the car it looks ridiculous)... and after light comes on its safe to drive another 30km up or more (i have tried to approx 50km more at most so far...) if you have tried so many ways to better your sunny FC but fail even after spending so much money on ridiculous gadgets or even those bloody expensive magnets... STOP WASTING $$$... let me share with you this now... logic... *we all know that those who use a 5W/20 or 5W/30... will get better FC compared to those using a 5W/40 or 5W/50... *i asked around and most agree that a 5W/20-30 will give you up to 50km per full tank more than 5W/40-50... trust me unless your mech used a measuring bottle for your Sunny's EO, i'll bet my money there is too much Engine oil in your car... in the morning after you have parked your car overnite, measure your Engine oil with your dip stick.. take out wipe clean and push back in and check... if the oil if way above the F mark, which i believe it will be, go get an oil change immediately when you can... get a accurate measuring bottle, not just any EO bottle with side markings... if you didnt change your oil filter cause still very new, drain all your old oil and measure 2.5liters of EO and fill ur engine... if you change your oil filter, drain old oil, measure 2.7liters of EO and fill the Engine... (this amt of EO is the same even for the 1.8engines, not available in SG but in MY the 1.8Sentra) (do not tell yourself aiya put a little bit more oil better protection etc... yes slightly more may be better protection softer engine but defeats the purpose of this test... 2.7liters will be at the F mark dont worry...) *use exactly the same engine oil brand type vocosity, dont change plugs or air filter, dont change your driving style, load or watever... just be the same driver as if you didnt change your oil... i bet you will see yourself getting more km for your full tank... cause when i used c-- ---e and VX for my previous couple of oil changes (all measured by myself), i had better FC then when i change to Redline ester based (mech poured in when i was not looking)... all are 5W/40... not logical so i drained the redline until my oil left was at the F mark when cold. drove it just now and i can feel immediately the car revs faster and more eager to go... based on my butt dyno... so my conclusion is this... over fill your engine with too much engine oil and your FC will suffer... other tips for better FC is a clean air filter, tyre pressure about 4psi above recommended, change or remove(illegal)your cat if its more than 5yrs old cause it should be dead by then n stop working anyways...
