Hi All, My friend is selling his car , so i take over his exhaust. His exhaust is bought and done at GR. So do i need to have the installation , change ownership done by GR and not by other workshop? All helps is appreciated. 10Q Regards Chogokin

Cos I was thinkin if they take quite a few years in loan, won't they have to fork out and sell the car? The only reason I can think are: - 1. They suddenly gng to migrate 2. They can't pay 3. And??

Got a fren who has 2 questions regarding transfer of ownership of his car. 1) A is Seller and B is Buyer. Seller A wans to transfer the ownership of a motor car to B. But can it be done if Buyer B does not wan to buy insurance as Seller A is not intending to cancel his insurance? ( i.e there is a valid insurance on the vehicle ). 2) Can Seller A juz go down and do the transfer of ownership ( wif all the nec documents ) without the prescene of Buyer B? Note: Both Seller n Buyer r private individuals. Many tanks in advance.

Hi guys, I'm thinking of transferring the ownership of the car from my dad's name to my name. This is to allow me to apply for season parking at my workplace. Just wanna find out what are the consequences of transferring the ownership of the car over to me? From what I understand, it will be seen as if I'm getting a second hand car, so does that means it will affect the resale value of the car in future (say selling the car at 5 years old, vs 10 years old). I am interested in finding out more before making this commitment. Please give some advice if you have any to share. Thanks!

Soneone told me today that its not possible to sell your new ride within 6 months from date of your registration . Meaning that you could not transfer your ride or sell to anyone within the first 6 months .. ( example 2litre car , COE - Cat B ) Must wait until 6 months then can sell ?? Understands that there is this ruling from our Gov ... Anyone can confirm ???

my brother applied for this and it got approved.. attached is what LTA sent him.. some T&C of the waiver are stated also.. hmmm.. whole course from application until approval is about 3months, success rate is pretty low.. but he did appealed and got approved.. Hi, I am searching for my first ride and the Tuscani had caught my attention recently. Parents want me to get a normal sedan like the Vios or Sunny. However I felt that I want my ride to be something that I would enjoy driving it out of the parking lot. I am trying to work out the finance to see if I could affort the Tuscani. Hopefully members of this forum could help me out a bit. I am 28 this year, new driver, draws $50+k pa, and no commitment yet. I was quoted $2600 for insurance, and road tax should be $1550. Parking would be $90 at home and $50 at work. I understand that the FC is about 8km/l but I never pump petrol before so not really sure what would be the average cost per month. My work place is actually very near my home (around 5 km), and friends are calling me crazy for buying any car at all (but this is a seperate topic). Most likely would only be fully utilizing it during weekends. So petrol cost maybe $150? Saw the price for Tuscani 2.0l going for $70,888. Not sure how much I should down pay and take how many years of loan in order to be comfortable. Did I missed out any hidden cost? ERP should be negligible. And BTW, how much you guys spend on average in waxing and polishing your ride? How reliable are Hyundai parts? How much should I put aside for servicing every year? If properly taken care, would the Tuscani actually last for 10 years? Do I have to spend like $1500 per month to own a Tuscani? Thanks!

Hi I have been eyeing the Octavia for the past few years but the New Octavia 1,6A (probably MPI) with expanded cabin is really appealing to me. I would appreciate if existing Octavia owners provide me some numbers in running cost. 1. Annual insurance (w/o discount) 2. tire cost 3. fuel consumption (from another thread, its about 10-11km/l average) 4. maintenance (frequency and cost) 5. common defects (eg. water vapour in the lights, aircon leaks) 6. quality issues 7. durability of the parts 8. reliability (breakdowns, eg fuse box blown in another thread) 9. resistance to chips and knocks on the body 10. Existing 1.6A MPI performance (my driving style is bias toward FC, of course occasionally I need to clear carbon) Thanks
