  1. Started this thread to share the car photos that I took, to you fellow enthusiasts! Also to prevent me from flooding the folder with new threads every time. I will update this thread constantly with new pics, hope you all like them! Comments welcome! *On the constant lookout for outstanding cars to shoot (it's my hobby!), if you got one and would like a photoshoot, feel free to PM me. More pics which I have taken previously are in the following links: http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/General_C1/Car_Showroom_F21/Mass_Cars_Photoshoot_%40_Changi_%2APics_Intensive%2A_P2003832/ ://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Gen...e%2A_P2003832/ ://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Gen...e%2A_P2003832/ ://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Gen...e%2A_P2003832/ ://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Gen...e%2A_P2003832/ ://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Gen...e%2A_P2003832/ http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/General_C1/Car_Showroom_F21/Another_Cars_Photoshoot_%2APics_Intensive%2A_P2012988/ ://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Gen...e%2A_P2012988/ ://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Gen...e%2A_P2012988/ ://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Gen...e%2A_P2012988/ ://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Gen...e%2A_P2012988/ ://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Gen...e%2A_P2012988/ http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/General_C1/Car_Showroom_F21/Black_VS_White_Cars_Photoshoot_P2023755/ ://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Gen...hoot_P2023755/ ://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Gen...hoot_P2023755/ ://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Gen...hoot_P2023755/ ://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Gen...hoot_P2023755/ ://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Gen...hoot_P2023755/ http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/General_C1...oo%21_P2062891/ http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/General_C1...de%2A_P2077404/ My own humble ride: http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/General_C1/Car_Showroom_F21/Photoshoot_of_my_Mazda_3_P1981814/ ://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Gen...da_3_P1981814/ ://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Gen...da_3_P1981814/ ://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Gen...da_3_P1981814/ ://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Gen...da_3_P1981814/ ://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Gen...da_3_P1981814/

Just thought I will post some pics on Iran and their cars. Dunno how many times I been there already. Nice place despite what has been reported. People are nice. Place is safe (except for the threat from USA). A sign at the airport. Scene from outside the airport. I didn't take the cab because got driver. Taxi fare to Tehran town centre about USD30.
  3. Hi folks. I went to Sim Lim Square today to get a hard drive and walked past Perfect Watch and Electronics on the ground floor. Made a huge mistake by walking in and ended up with a new GPS. I already have a Garmin C320 (as seen here: http://www.bmw-sg.com/forums/interior-sect...html#post107675 ) but when I saw the wide 4.3" screen of the Nuvi 610, I just couldn't resist it. So I ended up with it. I apologise for the camera phone quality pictures. Now to the unveiling. The box Map details Ohhh... What's this? Stuff in the box I took them out and laid them out on my couch. Clockwise: Nuvi 610, carrying pouch, literature and CD ROM, USB cable, dash mount, windscreen mount, cigarette lighter charger, AC charger and adaptor Peel off the screen protector Turn it on Tells me what to do The main menu The travel kit menus Very nice MP3 interface Address search menu System Menu Installation pics coming soon. Stay tuned.... .
  4. I took some pics of before and after..This is what #271 bumper / flat black dressing for..Usually flat black material changes color after a year under hot sun.. http://us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/autogeek_2014_45450003 X[/size] Enhance and restore flat black trim and bumpers! Duragloss Rubber & Flat Black Dressing contains a blend of polymeric synthetic polymers in a solvent base. RBD #271 cleans and shines rubber bumpers and moldings, and is recommended for flat black surfaces. Duragloss Rubber & Flat Black Dressing is a low luster silicone dressing for flat black automotive surfaces, such as the bumpers and moldings. Its solvent base lifts old dressings in order for the silicone polymers to bond better with the rubber. Once applied, Duragloss Rubber & Flat Black Dressing enhances the dark color and restores the like-new luster to these surfaces. Duragloss Rubber & Flat Black Dressing is water-resistant and will not wash off in the rain once cured. The finish is a low-gloss sheen that complements the paint, rather than overpowering it. Duragloss Rubber & Flat Black Dressing is a great way to enhance the most weather worn parts of your vehicle. Dark rubber bumpers and moldings are often neglected and tend to fade quickly due to UV exposure. Duragloss Rubber & Flat Black Dressing restores the lost color with long-lasting, waterproof polymers. Instantly restore the color and like-new luster of faded rubber bumpers and flat black moldings with Duragloss Rubber & Flat Black Dressing. 8 oz.

  13. Car was neglected for the past few months due to other commitments, finally had the time to detail it. Took two days for the detail as some panels were in pretty bad shape and I was trying out different product/pad combos to remove the defects. Beside swirls and scratches, I also had to deal with mango sap and bird droppings on the roof and bonnet, paint was also hazed and reflections were blurred. 14. just to share. Was entering the CTE towards city via the sliproad along Yio Chu Kang road this morning when I saw a overturned truck a few cars in front of me. Traffic along the sliproad was at a stand-still. Reason being that the truck has blocked almost the whole road, leaving a gap that only a trishaw can pass through. [inline 1st.jpg] This sliproad was particularly long, maybe 200m or so, and has 2 entrances. Therefore, you can imagine the jam. Being at the front of the jam, and having no way to go through, a brave taxi mounted the kerb using his right tyres, and squeezed his way through. See the picture. You can still see the cab driving off. I was not going to risk my car on the kerb, and had to reverse all the way out of the sliproad. A few other cars copied the taxi's great escape, but I wondered how many made it through safely. Of note, I would like to praise a gentleman in a green polo shirt, driving a black Peugeot. He helped to divert the traffic out of the sliproad, and even stayed on to prevent more vehicles from entering even after all the vehicles have left. I know cos I was at the front of the jam, therefore to reverse out, I would be one of the last to leave. He was still there diverting the traffic then.

  16. For those who missed out the events.here are some photos to share..
  17. Just thought I'd post the results of my DIY polishing done a little while back. Process was as follows ; - Rinse off dirt with hose, - DG #901 diluted at 10:1, sprayed using pressure sprayer & left to dwell for 5 mins, - Another rinse, - Washed 2 bucket method with #901 mixed at 8:1 (I like more suds) & wash mitt, - Wheels cleaned with Turtlewax F1 wheel cleaner, soft-bristled bottle brush & old microfibre, - Arches sprayed with degreaser & #901 mixed 10:2:2, then washed with old microfibre sponge, - Final rinse & clayed, using a very diluted solution of #901 & water as lube, - Rinsed last time & dried with syn chamois, - DG #101 applied & buffed off, followed by 2 coats of Turtlewax Platinum Wax (elected not to apply sealant this time round as no time to wait for it to cure fully), - Tires dressed with Amourall Extreme Tire Gel, plastic trim dressed with Turtlewax Long-lasting tire shine (yes, it actually works VERY well on exterior trim) The results are shown below. Was done at night, so didn't manage to get any sunlight shots. Only managed to capture some of the gloss. Note that the bumpers are duller, that's cos they are painted in such a way that it's impossible to gloss them unless respray. Stupid factory paintjob.
  18. Hopefully this thread is a breath of fresh air from all the shiny, wetz wetz exterior detailing pictures. Here is a peek into the engine bays of two old cars and the owners' obsession with keeping it clean. This is a place where many owners neglect to clean but a source of great satisfaction when you've done it. First, an 8-year old EK Civic
